I would like to see Denver take this and wipe that smug look off Cam Newton's face, but I don't think it will happen. I'm gonna say it will be the Panthers with the win.
All-in-all I just hope it a good game, not another SuperBowl blowout.

Peyton going out on top would be a good thing. Carolina winning and going 18-1 would be a good thing. Just hoping for a decent game and not another blowout like Seattle/Denver a couple years ago.
After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

I'm probably in the minority, but I enjoyed the beck out of Denver/Seattle..
Sure a great back and forth game is a fun thing to watch..
But just watching one team COMPLETELY DOMINATE another? Thats artistry of a different kind.
Heck it was 22-0 at halftime, and I though, "Denver's offense can make um that up"
Then Percy Harvin caught the 2nd half kickoff.. and I just laughed..
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

I don't have a horse in this race cause I don't gamble. I would like to see Denver win...love great defenses. And there is the Payton Manning factor, always liked him, how could you not. Wish for him to go out in style. The talking heads on the radio nauseate me..."HE ONLY HAS ONE SB RING", "IF HE WINS TWO THEN WE CAN SAY HE'S GREAT" Dumb ass Bozo's
Anyway If Panthers win no skin off my back I like both teams so will not be upset with whoever wins.

I wouldn't mind seeing Manning win another one but have been leaning toward the Panthers (who are the local team for me)..
But the more I hear people whining and crying about Cam Newton's "antics" the more I'm rooting for Carolina. If you opened the board right now and told me I could take any QB in the NFL and have him start for the Browns next year, there are probably only 1 or 2 I would consider taking over Cam Newton... and if he plays next year, like he played this year, I don't know that there would be any.

The only way Manning and the Broncos can win this one (and I know this sounds crazy) is by keeping Carolina's defense on the field. Manning has to be able to expose these backup corners they have in their starting lineup and keep the defense fresh.
The Broncos defense needs 3 and outs and often. They are not winning this game if they only score 20 points and they cannot turn it over.
It's an uphill battle for the Broncos.

I think the Broncos can win if they score first, just like they did against the Pats. It'll put pressure on the Panthers, let the Broncos keep the ball on the ground, and shift the focus of the game to the Denver pass rush. Manning doesn't have to throw for 300+ to win.

Yeah this Cam Newton stuff is ridiculous.
1. One side is saying because he is an African American people hate him...I'm sure there are some idiots still out there. But for the most part it has nothing to do with RACE, its the celebration stuff.
2. I'm a Old School give the ball to the ref kind of guy but get it...this is how it is. For now. If they allow dancing and all this other stuff why not Cam's celebrations as long as he is within the Celebration rules (my goodness we have celebration rules...smh)
He's young and he is enjoying playing the game. When he gets older he will start conserving his energy and things like that...right now he's still a kid and guess what this is all new for him. Let him enjoy it.
He is one of a kind and when he came out I thought he was going to be great. Glad he is getting there now and personally I think more is to come.
We should learn by now SB Week...got to ignore the Bozos

I don't know eo.. I think race is a part of it somewhere, on some level...
He's a physical specimene, he has some transgressions in his past, he is very demonstrative in his celebrations, and he has a very big personality on and off the field... these are things we are kind of used to accepting in our WRs and our LBs.. not so much in our QBs. I think the fact that he's a QB really unlike anything we've seen before and the fact that he's black only adds to that.
I also think that giving the ball to the kids is far cooler than just acting like you don't care and handing it to the ref... It's fun to watch at games as Carolina gets in the red zone all of the kids in the lower level start to move toward the railing in the endzone... It's fun, it's entertainment... How many young potential Browns fans are we losing (or at least not getting excited about this team) because we don't have that kind of excitement around the team?
In the end, his star has been steadily rising since he came into the league and right now he's on top of the world... I guess we will have to wait and see how he responds when adversity hits, and it usually does...

it's less to do with race and more to do with people hating Cam because he's destroying their teams every sunday.
it's the same reason why people hate the patriots so much, other than their cheating haha.
people hate that he dances.
well there's a way to keep him from dancing: keep him out of the endzone. but good luck with that.
besides, you can bet the carolina fans, in general, don't have a problem with him dancing.
he danced that team to a SB appearance.
wish we could complain about something so trivial on our team one day.

I don't know. I know a fair number of people who don't root for a team in the Panthers division and who they don't play regularly who just don't like Cam.

for sure bro. there are ton of Cam haters.
what's funny though is when you ask people why, their responses don't really make sense.
it anywhere from dancing to "i just don't like him".
well....ok.
but nobody says a word when rodgers does his little discount double check crap.
i like Cam because he grew into becoming the ultimate leader. the guy has given his uniform off his back to kids and people with disabilities.
and the way the kids light up with excitement everytime Cam gives them the ball.
how can you hate that?

Everything Cam does would irk the crap out of me if he was beating the Browns by 4 TDs... but none of it is cheap, none of it is dirty, none of it is against the rules.. the guy is having fun.

Some people are turned off by arrogance and Cam can easily be pegged as an arrogant person. I myself feel he's a little arrogant.

I think more NFL fans dislike Manziel than Cam. Is it because Johnny is white or just unlikable?
This is how I feel about Cam. Most people like him. The few that don't, they dislike him because he beats their team, he's a bit arrogant or dances too much, and/or his potential role with his dad and the college money scandal. However, the media will pick up the "people dislike Cam" comment and immediately run with it with a heavy race angle.
The color of Cam's skin doesn't matter to me at all. I don't like the media telling me it does.
For the record, I think he's awesome (on and off the field) and would do anything for the Browns to have him as their QB. He does dance a bit too much though.

Of course, Cam had to bring up the race card. LOL......it's inevitable.
I don't like him for several reasons:
--he cheated on an academic exam.
--he stole a lap top.
--he was booted out of Florida for his actions.
--his dad tried selling him to the highest bidder.
--he feels the need to draw attention to himself. "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!
--He comes across as arrogant to me.
--Now, he's playing the race card.......despite the fact that he was named the Heisman trophy winner by the mostly white voters and is going to be named the league MVP, he makes money off of endorsements, he has received second chances for his crimes, etc...........but yeah.......he is the victim of racism. Pffffttttttt
Btw........I didn't like Brett Farve either. For many of the same reasons.

People don't like Manziel because he has all of the arrogance but has yet to accomplish anything... which is why a lot of people didn't like Cam a couple years ago but now do. Just think, in 2011, the Panthers hired Ron Rivera and drafted Cam Newton. In 2013, much of the fan base wanted both of them gone... Rivera was too vanilla, no emotion, took no risks, just seemed to have no fire.. Cam was all talk and no action, couldn't play well from the pocket, sulked with a towel over his head when things weren't going his way.... I'm in Carolina, A LOT of fans wanted to blow it up and start over. In 2016 they are leading their team to the super bowl and are one hiccup away from playing for the perfect season... There is a lesson in there somewhere, I'm just not sure what it is...

I don't see how any Browns fans can route for the Broncos. They are my 4th most hated team after division rivals.
If not for the Broncos we'd have at least 2 SB rings.
But that was Elway you say? Well Elway is running the dang team!
I like routing for the greatest regular season QB of all time as much as the next guy but the Broncos? No freakin' way.

Yeah, I agree. I can't cheer for the Broncos, no matter who is on their team.

We'd have been to a Super Bowl or two, but I don't we'd have beaten any of the teams. We missed playing the Giants with their dominating defense with LT.. Denver lost that game by 19 points We missed playing the Redskins with Riggins and Co.... Denver lost that game by 32 points We missed playing the 49ers with Montana and Rice... Denver lost that game by 45 points Considering we couldn't beat Denver, and Denver lost those 3 games by an average of 32 points... I don't think it's "obvious" that we would have won any of them. Granted it would have been nice to have played in one. I think our best chance would have been the Redskins. We had a better defense than the Broncos, especially in the secondary..

Of course nobody can guarantee a SB bowl win...but I remember being so upset at losing to the Broncos besides the way we did it. But because I thought we were the best built team to beat the NFC.
At the time the NFC was kicking butt year in and out at the SB...each year as we got in playoff I was excited cause we were perfect to beat the NFC!
Never happened due to the Broncos who went on to lose of course!

So, "The king is dead. Long live the King!"
I believe like a number of folks this is the finale for PM. Hope he plays well. Still think Panters. But I am looking to a good matchup and a close SB. Also hoping to find something to do at halftime. Love the commercials, but hate about every silly Halftime show, especially recently. Hope it is as good as i hope it will be.

When asked why he doesn't dance like Cam Newton, Peyton Manning responded, "Well, I don't run for touchdowns for a start." Yea, that's the reason.

I don't believe that Denver stands a dogs chance in hell in this game.
While Denver has a slightly higher rated D, Carolina has a very good D as well. So while Denver has an edge on D, that's all it is, an edge.
Carolina has a very potent O. Far more potent than Denver. Manning stayed a year too long. I've been a fan of Peyton for a very long time. He's a class act.
But don't buy into the hype. Carolina can run and pass. Cam is the most mobile QB in the league and has a cannon for an arm. Probably the best current QB in the NFL.
Carolina will run away with it.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
