I disagree with that win adjustment..

I think LeBron playing by himself could win more games than the Sixers..

We don't know. But we do know is that we wasn't making the playoffs until Lebron got here.

Lebron has plenty he needs to work on, but some people are angry at a guy who is the ONLY reason we even get to talk about the finals.

You got posters jumping off the bandwagon and such because some cosch got axed. He wasn't the reason we made it to the finals so I really don't care for blatt. He's a good coach, but not the right fit for this team. He was getting out coached anyway against the teams that mattered.

So yea, from my perspective, I'll support the players over the coach. Lebron led us to the playoffs. Not blatt.

I put Basketball coaches slightly above Baseball managers..

Talent wins in the NBA, and unless you have one of the all time great coaches, you need talent..

Coincidently, all the all time great coaches, also coached some all time great players..

i will say as much as I love kyrie, the trade floating around about a swap of Kyrie and CP3 i'd do in a heartbeat

Don't really disagree with you at all Swish, but Lebron can tend to be a Curse just as much as he can be a Blessing. That same dominance and ability to carry a team that can propel us to many wins, also becomes a liability when he's not "on" and he keeps trying to force the issue.

I think my greatest Cavs memory is back when he hit that game winner against Orlando in the Playoffs years ago. At the time, he had already started his nasty habit of forcing long jump shots when he could just as easily drive in and get an easier 2. Orlando had just taken the lead after a furious come-back, and it just felt like another "Cleveland-like" loss. The last hope was that maybe Lebron could brute-strength his way to the rim and put up a quick layup to send the game to over time. Instead, he caught the ball deep and threw up a hero-ball shot that he normally would of clanked. I remember saying when he made that shot, "Geeze Lebron ... whyOHMYGAWD-IT-WENT-IN!!!" I think that's what made it such a great memory is that it was completely unexpected.

But since, he's also forced up a lot of bad shots trying to repeat the same "game hero" type of shot. It's possible we might of won Game 1 in last year's Finals had Lebron just taken an easier shot, rather than try to throw up a long hero-jumper. (That said, he also won that game in Chicago with the same kind of shot)

i agree, the hero ball needs to be toned waaaayyy down.

however, sometimes i feel like we need a better floor general. far too often it ends up being that lebron is playing point forward.

and at the point, the team just reverts back to the old isoball ways.

What i do feel though, is that had LeBron not come back, I think no we could have EVENTUALLY gotten Love without giving up Wiggins. Because it seemed to be only us and GS go I for him, and they most likely weren't going to give up Klay.

I think a big part of what I disagreed with is the term "lottery team"

We would be in a better position to win the finals right now if we still had Wiggins and GS had Love instead of Klay Thompson. tongue

It's all speculation.. there is no way to really know what this team would be doing with Kyrie, Wiggins, Waiters, TT (who would be about half the price without that little run late in the playoffs last year).. etc.. I'm not sure who would have filled out the rest of the roster.

One thing I can tell you, that lineup is much better suited to get up and down the court the way Blatt wanted to..

I don't think we would be BETTER than we are now, don't get me wrong.. but we'd be in the playoffs.

It seems like Blatt got fired mostly because people didn't like him. With that said, I thought this video was excellent and it illuminates many of the other guilty parties.

Thanks for posting. Before anyone rips you for posting, just know that Candy already posted it.

I wanna clarify something..........I am not a huge Blatt fan. I just think that the players were wrong and never gave the guy a chance and that it all started w/LeBron. If LeBron would have bought in, they all would have bought in. Tyron Lue doesn't have a tenth of knowledge of offensive bb as Blatt does.

I am simply disgusted because the Cavs are classless. Even the GM ripping Blatt on national TV made me sick. Did he REALLY have to trash Blatt on national tv?

Again, they are a talented team and can win it all. They probably will now that I am not rooting for them. LOL......but, I ain't compromising my ethics to root for the Cavs after they have proven to me that they lack character.

There are guys I will root for, such as TT, Shump, Delly, JR, Moz, Cunningham, Andy..........but, I ain't rooting for the team as long as LBJ is here.

Would we have landed some of the players we have if he never returned? Don't get me wrong, I feel due to his stardom - he's given way too sway/influence/power than a player should... but is it all that shocking factoring all he brings outside that, and perhaps, "unwelcomed" power?

Just food for thought.

I agree w/that.

Oh..........and I am not asking anyone to agree w/me. Not at all. It's just the way I feel about LeBron, Love, and to a certain extent....Reach.

I, along with my one of my buds, burned our LBJ gear which included a jersey for me the day after the decision. I don't feel too high about him still, even after that letter/blog or whatever that was.

It is what it is though!

...

Can anyone guard Tucker already? I think he's bombed three already from long distance. At least three.

Man the talent really shines when we go up tempo. We already had 20 fast breaks this half.

It helps when you are playing a team that hates their coach and is trying to get him fired.

That oop to LBJ was very nice, especially the defense that led to it.

Kyrie gets so lazy with the ball sometimes

Cavs are pouring it on now. They've kept the pace up the entire game.

Fool's gold at the moment. We all want to see something that leads us to believe they are headed in the right direction. But, we only beat teams that are not very good and have trouble against (or get embarrassed by) teams that are pretty good.
Yeah, great, we moved the ball and scored in transition against a team that the announcers said wants to get rid of their coach.....

Sound familiar?

Cavs had 34 assists. Previous team average was 22. Ball movement.

The Suns stink, but the players seem to be listening to Lue.

A decent to real test going to be against Detroit, Friday. I'm told they're playing good ball.

They also have one of the best coaches in the league (a guy who was very upset that Blatt was fired).

It should be Lue's first real test.

The Blatt human shield is gone. They have no one left to blame. (Unless they start losing, then Love is the next one they can throw under the bus.)

Agreed.

There have been some grumblings of trading Mozgov before the trade deadline. I'd be very surprised to see Love go anywhere.

They probably should try to trade on the big guys for a competent wing player. I just don't see many teams that need another big that has a wing guy to give up.

Cavs need to work on their game and this new system.. taking advantage of these pseudo-practice games against teams like the Suns are important.

I think one of the formulas is pretty clear. When we move the ball, we play good offense. 30+ assists yesterday but, granted, against a not so good team.

It was fun watching though. Hopeful that same intensity and play carrier over to Detroit.

I don't see it improving with a token puppet coach in place. The team is still going to do whatever LBJ wants to do... and apparently, that doesn't involve defense. When bad teams are dropping 3-digits on you, you've got issues.

You could very well be right. None the less, something had to be done to serve as a wake up call. I think when Lue said we were out of shape, not only did it apply to the faster tempo he wanted, but was a reference to the D as well. Playing D takes effort.

But yeah, if the Cavs are hoping to score 95 points and hope the other team simply has a bad shooting night, it curtains for us. That might work with a lot of the teams, but it doesn't work against Golden State. A bad shooting night nets them 98 points.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

A few points that some--not all--might not know:

--The Cavs were 30 and 11 w/Blatt. They were not stinking the joint up.

--They were in first place in the Eastern Conference.

--No coach was fired w/a record as good as Blatt's in league history.

--It was Blatt's idea to go up-tempo. LBJ did not want to.

--The Suns lost one of the best players in the league in Bledsoe and have faced a ton of injuries. Right now, they are the worst team in the entire league. They were embarrassed by Philadelphia the other night.

--The Cavs looked great when they moved the ball while Blatt was still here. How can the Clippers game already have been lost from some people's memories?

--Talking about accountability and then walking back on defense after committing careless turnovers does not actually lend itself to credibility.
