Something I've seen as a flaw with Golden State- They turn the ball over like crazy.

S.A. has good ball movement obviously.
But I swear half of their sets in the first half consisted of running into the paint and finding a Cavalier to bump into to try to get a call.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

I wonder how much of this is the Cavs playing well, and how much is San Antonio deliberately sandbagging it

Vers this isn't a shot at you, but I think you might have been wrong about Blatt. I think Lues philosophy is better for this team than what Blatt wanted to run. Not sure if Lue is better as a coach, but he emphasizes running more.

Two straight game where each member of the Big 3 scored at least 20+ points.

Got tickets to the Cavs vs Bulls game. Should be a fun night!

Vers wasn't defending Blatt vs Lue as a coach so much as he didn't like the fact that the players weren't playing like professionals should for their coach, subsequently costing said coach his job.

Yeah, in Blatt's defense, he likely wanted to play uptempo. It was what most his European teams did.

Next month will be easy. We play the Bulls and Thunder, but that's it. March might be easier because we only play the Clippers as a tough opponent. Time to just pad some wins and get adjusted to what Lue wants. May is right around the corner gentlemen.

--No offense taken, Candy.
--Thanks Ted. I appreciate it.
--Excel, I read an article that Blatt wanted to run up-tempo even earlier this year.
With all that said.......the Cavs played great last night. Great ball movement. They were hitting their shots. The energy was high. Reminded me of the Blatt's last game vs the Clippers. The Cavs have a ton of talent; maybe the most in the entire league.

We made the Spur's defense look totally lost and confused at times. Granted no Tim Duncan, but the offense was on fire.
For awhile there, a long while - Love couldn't miss.

Cavs played great last night. Great ball movement. They were hitting their shots. The energy was high. I only got to see the first half...but I agree with you the energy level was good and I bash Lebron for dogging it on defense but I didnt see that last-night...and K. Love even played some defense. I was pretty confident when I checked ESPN this morning the Cavs was going to have won this one...hope they keep going and run people off of the court.

jc...
I've got a humorous Tyronn Lue story. The summer league is a big deal in Vegas. But before it was a big deal, it was the best kept secret in Vegas. If you've been you know the games take place in two connected venues, the Thomas and Mack where UNLV plays, a decent sized venue, and the Cox Pavilion, a venue smaller than a high school gym. Games go on in both places, and you can walk back and forth between venues as you wish. Just come and go. Years ago when LeBron was a young player, and not many people were attending, you could find yourself sitting next to a who's who in the basketball world...legends, HOFs, retired players, current players, coaches, GMs, reporters...anyone associated with the game. I was in the Cox Pavilion during one of these summers and I looked up to see LeBron and his gang walking up the bleachers and taking seats right next to us. Now that it's no longer the best kept secret it's very difficult to find a seat in the Cox Pavilion, and the Thomas and Mack gets more and more crowded every year as well.
During one these early summers, my buddy found himself sitting next to Lue. They struck up a conversation and my buddy asks Lue why he wasn't out there playing. Lue says "that's for first and second year guys, I'm a veteran". My buddy says completely deadpanned "I've seen you play; you could use the work". LOL.
Now this guy is coach of the Cavs, a team that could win the Finals. Crazy. That story always made me chuckle.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Glad to be of help.
Like I said before-nobody's opinion is wrong here. The stars on this team make more money in one game than you can imagine. I did the math, $20mil divided by 82 regular season games comes out to over $240k a game.
If Blatt genuinely lost the locker room then I can understand AND respect the move.
If this was a purely political move for whatever reason 'just to get another guy there' then I dunno what to say.
Other than as fans, we will never know the real truth.
It's tough because your team is doing so well, but you also want to be able to admire your sports heroes also.
Truest line I've ever seen spoken in a sports biopic was about Bobby Jones the golfer, spoken by Malcom McDowell (don't remember the characters name).
'Money's going to ruin sports.'
I'd say that it has.

There's also a major difference in intensity levels between the playoffs and regular season. If this team makes it to the finals I'd bet every penny I've got they'll play a LOT harder than they did last night, but San Antonio will too. We saw last year what happens when Lebron plays hard.

And that's what we ultimately need from Lebron.
He will turn it up max level come playoff time. And with the style of play we are currently doing...ugh.
Even with Duncan playing, in a finals match, they don't have anybody that can guard Lebron for 7 games. I'm not worried about Lebron, I'm worried about everyone else on the squad showing up.

I am not all that worried about Love showing up now that we are using him correctly. Before it was like he was a decoy on the outside. Love isn't a 3 point shooter. He is a post player who also happens to shoot 3 pointers. There is a difference.

I'd say that it has. That's be true, but it has been ruined for over 100 years then. Professional sports have never "been about the game" IMO. It's always been a business.

Okay genius...............tell me that Blatt didn't have Love post up? Be careful, because I have video. Tell me that Blatt didn't run plays for Love? Again, I have proof. The difference is that Love was hitting shots last night. There was no great overhaul of the offense that geared itself towards running new things for Love.
I didn't say I am done w/them. I said I am not rooting for them. And what the hell do you care?

Love was being used as a spot up shooter.
For calling somebody uninformed, you post as if you don't really watch the team.

Candy...........I ain't fighting w/you and I love peen. Him and I go way back. We were about the only two to ever question Tim Couch and we got abused for it. We're friends.
Here is my point.........one can say that the team, Love included, is playing harder for Lue. One can say that the team listens to Lue more than they did Blatt. One can even hypothesize that the Cavs have a better chance of winning w/Lue as their HC. I won't argue any of those points.
However, I am not going to sit here and allow people to say things like Lue is running better sets for Love or that he has more knowledge of offense or any other made-up crap that is so far from the truth that it's actually laughable.
Does that make sense?

LOL......are you angry? Over that? Really?
I am saying that I am going to challenge BS assertions that are simply not true.
Wanna do a survey of real NBA people and see who has more respect for their offensive philosophies between Blatt and Lue? Who do you think is more respected for their basketball intellect? Not by fans, but by guys who are involved w/the game.
You can huff and puff, but unless you are a liar regarding your bb experience, you know what I am saying is correct.
