I was just reading the Earthquake thread and modawg’s recent post on the thread. I was curious about mo’s 65 posts in over 9 years. That’s only ~ 7 posts per year. (hardly a chatterbox).
Prior to his(her?) post today his last post was in 2012. His(her) post before that was 2009.
That’s three posts in the last ~ 7 years. I wondered why.
Then, I started reading some of mo’s posts from before 2009. I felt like I was in an alternate Browns fan Universe.
I just spent 2 hours reading posts from:

Very weird, I felt like I was walking through an ancient cemetery reading old head stones.
What do you think happens to these people? Do they stop being Browns fans? Did they change their names? Did they throw out their computers? Are they Steelers fans now? Did they convert to Buddhism?
Questions. So many questions.

79 started being a lawyer, occasionally posts, and juggles family life. The others in not sure about. Christy left due to drama.

Did Christy and Shep ever end up getting married??
I know there is a possibility that one or more of those names may be on the board now under different names.

337 stopped by our tailgate 2 seasons ago with his daughter.
I've got Heldawg on Linked In and Facebook, but he doesn't post a lot - he is no longer in Hawaii and living in Cleveland.
payoffmaker - think you meant playoffmaker - I see him on occasion when he makes it back to Ohio from MN.
I used to see 1488 in Roanoke at the Blue Ridge Browns Backers, along with his dad but haven't seen him in years. I ran into his dad at a golf course over the summer, said he is doing OK.

I can only speak for modawg. I am on this board almost every day, reading about my Browns from other people that love them. I rarely (obviously) have anything to add to a conversation that has not been said. And when people are just bickering back and forth, it is not something I care to join in. So, in short, I usually come here to learn, and don't have much to add. Also, I don't usually go out of the pure football forum.

I remember these folks. I think their lives just got busy and changed. Not everyone has time to read and post on a forum. So for them, their lives just changed.

There's quite a few of us who don't post anywhere near as much as we did. I'm nowhere near as prolific these days. Life happens man. Got divorced, met someone I liked a few years later and ended up having kids at 40 (oops), just had our second in December so between that and work, there's only time to lurk.  I'm buds on FB with a few of these. 337, Shotty, Atomic all still around. It's just a bit cyclical I think.

Some spend what spare time they have on facebook and/or twitter, and others just vanished without a word. I think aliens abducted the others

I'm still here, I'm a reader. Stopped going to the backers club for games once our president resigned. Find the games online nowadays. Saves me from getting hammered at the bar due to depression of 3-13 seasons.
