Positive thing from Monday.

After waiting almost 31 years for my kids to give me grand babies. It happened. WOOHOO My son (Who some of you have met tailgating) and my daughter-in-law had a beautiful baby girl late Monday night. I have not got to hold her yet do to a third stroke I had a few months ago, but I will get my chance this weekend.

Man, you have got to stop stroking so much.

From today.

Thought I woke up late cause the alarm wasn't set. Thankfully, I have a cat who likes to slam her head into my face when she decides she wants to get petted or fed.

That happens with pets. I know.

A good thing from last night is I caught the dog in that pre-puke gag stage, picked him up off the carpet and got him in the bathroom (linoleum floor). Then he just looked at me like "what was that for?"

Thanks 66. I am positive I am already in love with her, and positive that she already has a closet full of Browns gear to wear.

My daughter a dancer since the age of two was told by her college that she was too heavy to audition for their dance company. Her scholarship says her ideal weight was 118 and she weighed 119.

She was told she had to be 113 to audition. her BMI was 14 and her body fat was 12%.

Anyway over the holidays we went on a strict diet, we got her a trainer.... when she returned she weighed 114 and was allowed to try out and she made the dance company for one of the top ten dance schools in the US... Oklahoma City University.

As an extra bonus I dropped ten pounds... so its a good thing

Because of the holiday, first class of the spring semester started today.

First class: Asians art. Big lecture hall type class, all these seats, yet two chicks decided to list by me.

After class was done, one asked me for my number. I finally got to use the line "sorry, I'm married" and walked off.

Glad to know I still got it though!!!

Positive things from today:

I finally went to the urologist today & got tested for testicular cancer, as there has been a small bump inside there for a little less than a year now. I kept putting it off, putting it off.....

Happy to report: Just a small cyst, no cancer. Thank God! I already had 3 operations last year (one kinda major) and quite frankly, I've had enough of being operated on and especially having to heal up afterwards for quite a while.

I'm happy for you also 20...My positive stuff for the day is the wife and I bought our new home today...everything is done we have the keys in hand and I'm excited to move and get out of Ohio.

I did 28 miles in an hour on the bike and rollers today..havent been able to do that in a long time.

My oldest son closed on his new house in Colorado which he should be moving into next month...since we downsized and he is getting into a bigger place...I told him he can have whatever furniture in our house he wants and we will just buy new.

Made him and his wife happy and made me happy because I get to go buy new stuff for a new house. Its actually been really positive for me the last few weeks...and I hope it stays that way for a while.

Praise God! I am happy to hear that you had good news front the doc.

I also just went to the urologist, and has the wonderful exams that accompany such a visit. (part of a day that included 2 doctor visits) It didn't look like it, but my doctor must have hands that are 3 times the size of a normal person. crazy I also received good news though, in that my prostate is normal, and no tumors or anything of concern in my exam.

He did suggest that, at my age, (and now I realize that I am, indeed, old) that I should see my family doctor about a colonoscopy. That I do not look forward to, but if I have learned anything from the experiences of others, it's that catching colon cancer early is vital, and that I should do whatever I can to avoid problems in this regard.

colonoscopy's are a piece of cake. You go in they knock you out, you wake up, then somebody drives you home. 10 times easier than a prostate exam.

Thanks 20...We are moving to New Mexico...a spit shot from Arizona...we will be living right off of interstate 64 and literally minutes from Arizona.

Our new home is alot smaller but we wanted that...and its a ranch style home which I'll be very happy to have...about 2000sq ft and no grass..I think Ill post some pics when we get fully moved in.

Its close to where I wouldve like to live and the wife and I are just ready to go...

You know thanks for asking I appreciate that.

I agree...my biggest problem was drinking the laxative...the first one I drank that stuff down like a champ...the last one I had done I puked the laxative and when they did the actual scope they had to add more air and clean a little bit left..out of there...do not go that route make sure your cleared out.

My stomach hurt so bad and the DR said it was due to the extra air they had to use....I want to yak right now just at the thought of that freaking nasty laxative.

I wont be getting another one done any time soon unless they come up with a better way to clean you out.

Next time tell them you are using miralax powder. You mix a half bottle of it with 32 ounces of light colored gatorade (I use orange flavored) You have to do this twice but you only taste the gatorade.

Thanks, YTown!

If you haven't, read the other posts here about getting a colonoscopy. Make sure to ask if they put you to sleep or just put you on twilight drugs before you make your appointment. If you're put to sleep, it is a BREEZE, believe-it-or-not. If it's just twilight drugs? You risk feeling what is going on, so get a doctor who puts you to sleep and it's easy; it really is.

Half a bottle?

Half a Bottle?

Twice?

Man, I use that stuff due to the constipation side effects of some of my medications, but I only use one cap-full at a time. I cannot imagine having to take half a bottle all at once, and then having to do it again. crazy Yikes!

People say being in love is the best feeling on earth...

But I say finding an open toilet when you have diarrhea is better.

Regular bacon or Canadian? There's a difference.

You know I have something to add for the positive thing...for the first time in years I'm not pissed off at paying the tax bill this year...We got everything ready to go and uncle sam is going to get paid FAT this year.

I normally stay pissy through March and dont give as much as I usually do to people...but I had a almost record year for income and one of my goals for this year was to let stuff slide...so that is my positive not upset with the tax man this year willynilly

Positive things from today.

Well I invested $210 to have a new sink installed in my home and I got $6000 worth of new wood flooring and carpet as a bonus.

I paid a plumbing company to install a new sink I purchased at Lowes only to find they didn't reconnect the drain line from my dishwasher to the disposal but instead left the line pushed into the wall which upon use just drained the water under my flooring, ruining my wood and carpet floor all in one action.

They just finished installing new wood and carpet at no cost to me.

It's a win win, for me anyway. laugh
