DALLAS - The ex-girlfriend of NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel told police that the Heisman Trophy winner told her "shut up or I'll kill us both" after forcing her into a car, hitting her and dragging her by the hair.

News 8 today learned harrowing details of last week's alleged assault of Colleen Crowley by Manziel, who is currently on the Cleveland Browns roster but is not expected to return next season.

“We've been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field,” said Sashi Brown, the Brown’s executive vice president of football operations, in a statement Tuesday.

“Johnny's continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization,” Brown’s statement reads. “His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Crowley has told authorities that, according to sources, she is afraid for her safety and has drafted an order of protection to be presented to a Tarrant County district court judge.

Crowley and Manziel dated for two years and lived together for four months before breaking up in December, sources said.

Sources say in her affidavit, Crowley outlines the details of an alleged assault that she said began in Manziel's hotel room in Dallas in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 30.

Sources say on Friday night, Crowley and three friends started the evening off at Victor Tangos, a swanky restaurant in the Knox-Henderson neighborhood in Dallas.

Crowley and friends bar-hopped for a few hours before she met Manziel in his room at Hotel ZaZa in Uptown Dallas.

Sources say while in his hotel room, the two of them argued over another girl. Crowley told police she tried to leave the room, but that Manziel wouldn't let her.

Crowley told police Manziel "restrained" in some manner and "led" her down a back stairway to the valet area.
"I was crying and begged the valet, 'Please don't let him take me. I'm scared for my life!'" she told police. The valet reportedly told her, "I don't know what to do" and let Manziel leave with her.

Sources say Manziel then drove her about a half mile to her car which was parked near the Concrete Cowboy bar off Cedar Springs Road. She claims she jumped out of the car and tried to hide from Manziel but he found her in some nearby bushes.

"He grabbed me by my hair and threw me back into the car and got back in himself," she reported told police. "He hit me with his open hand on my left ear for jumping out of the car. I realized immediately that I could not hear out of that ear, and I still cannot today, two days later."

Crowley then reportedly hit Manziel several times hoping to get out of the car, but, she told police, Manziel "threw me off of him" and she hit her head on the car window. She told police he would not give her her phone.

Sources say Manziel then got on Interstate 30 and began driving to her apartment in Fort Worth. While en route, she claims, she yelled at him, "I hate you!" He allegedly replied that "he was going to drop me off, take my car and go kill himself," sources said.

She says she thought he was on drugs or maybe having a psychotic break. She told police she then began telling him she loved him.

She says at that time Manziel "started laughing" and then reportedly yelled at her to "shut up or I'll kill us both."
She says they finally made it to her Fort Worth Apartment where the argument continued.

Crowley claims Manziel became angry, smashed her phone. He then went outside and started "pacing," she told police. While she was alone, she tried to use her computer to contact her parents through Apple's FaceTime video chat system.

She said Manziel came back into the apartment, checked her computer and realized she had tried to contact her parents.

"I was in my kitchen so out of fear for my life, I pulled a knife out of my knife block and advanced toward him," Crowley told police.

"He ran out of the apartment," she said. When she saw him in the parking lot, she said she banged on a neighbor's door and screamed for help. Manziel fled on foot, she told police.

Manziel burst onto the national sports scene in 2012 while a freshman at Texas A&M University. That season, he led the Aggies to 11 wins, including a victory over top-ranked Alabama.

The win over the Crimson Tide and his dazzling play in college football’s toughest conference positioned Manziel to become the first ever freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.

He left Texas A&M after his sophomore season and entered the NFL draft. Manziel’s past legal problems and concerns over his size led NFL executives to question whether he could compete at the professional level.

Manziel wasn’t taken until the 22nd overall pick by the Cleveland Browns. Over his two seasons in the NFL, Manziel has played in 14 games for the Browns.

After reading "her" side of the story what I gathered was...

1.She went out drinking and bar hoping with her friends all evening.

2.Showed up at Johnny's apartment wasted at 2 a.m. and started fighting about other women. Again.

3.He dragged her out of there to drop her off at her car where she did the jump from a moving vehicle. Again.

4.He drags her back into the vehicle, he hits her, she hits him.

5.He drives her to her apartment, they fight some more.

6.She pulls a knife on him, he runs away. LoL

Honestly after reading "her" side of the story I don't know which one of them is more crazy. Where they both drunk or just her? I'd like to hear the rest of the story. One thing for sure they need to get the hell away from each other and stay away.

While I'm also suspicious of her side of the story, there's no excuse for roughing up a woman. I'm willing to bet that the story isn't quite as dramatic as she says, but the Browns most recent response would indicate that it's true enough that a message must be sent.

Police report detailing Johnny Manziel incident released

Quarterback Johnny Manziel allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend several times during an incident at the Hotel ZaZa in downtown Dallas last Saturday, according to a police report released Thursday.

The two eventually left the hotel and drove back to Fort Worth, when Manziel allegedly struck her several more times, according to the report.

Manziel's ex-girlfriend alleged that he was acting "as if he were on some kind of drugs" but maintained that he was not intoxicated.

A source told ESPN's Pat McManamon earlier this week that the Browns plan to release Manziel in March, the end result of his latest off-the-field incident.

The Browns, in a statement, said Tuesday: "We've been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. I mean, this story should be easy enough to confirm. There's at least the valet and the neighbor that can vouche for those parts of it, and if she suffered trauma like the ear injury and the banged head it should have been easy enough to confirm.

If the cops sent a helicopter after him then they clearly saw something was up.

This is the last post I'll make on Manziel, I just wish we hadn't wasted so much time on him (for on the field reasons, his off the field stuff just makes it worse)...<sigh>

Yes, and it's in the right category.

I've done a fair amount of research on personality disorders, and besides being an alcoholic I'm beginning to think Johnny might have something called Borderline Personality Disorder.

I didn't know it at the time, but I dated one or two girls who had this disorder. It can get kinda crazy at times. And not fun crazy.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Johnny Manziel's ex-girlfriend Collen Crowley told police that Manziel told her to "shut up or I'll kill us both" during an argument Saturday morning, according to News 8 in Dallas.

The ABC affiliate learned exclusive details of the altercation after Fort Worth police released their police report and 911 call to cleveland.com and other outlets on Thursday.

Sources told cleveland.com that the Browns will waive Manziel as soon as they're able to -- on March 9. The Browns also released a statement Tuesday from Executive Vice President of Football Operations Sashi Brown saying "Johnny's continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization. His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time."

The team has not commented on today's developments.

The police report states that Crowley told police that Manziel struck her several times, including on the ear, and that he seemed to be on drugs.

Manziel told TMZ Sports that he did not strike Crowley, saying "It didn't happen." He also said that he did not threatened to kill her or himself during the dispute.

"I'm completely stable. I'm safe and secure,'' he told the site.

According to the police report, Crowley would not let police photograph her injuries and became uncooperative.

Manziel said "I have great things coming ahead" but wouldn't elaborate. "I know I've been having fun but I just need to get my body right. I'm 100% committed to playing football."

I agree with you. Either him or his girlfriend could have this problem.

There has to be a reason for the constant drama.

Spoiled brat as an excuse doesn't really cut it.

We've all seen these kind of couples in real life, minus the money.

We all know them. Two people who are somewhat normal when separated, but the moment they are around each other, its Armageddon.

If the police thought there was any credence to the report she made, he would have been arrested. There is a lot of things in that report that could be confirmed, such as the valet and the face time call, and she apparently has zero physical marks.

Johnny needs to get his life straightened out. To hell with football.

Boys will be boys right...just like all the great QB's from previous generations...oh yeah, someone compared him to Babe Ruth once too.

At this stage, I'd want to see pictures of her. If he hit her, obviously there will be signs of that. There's no way, after reading what he's accused of doing (throwing her in the car, striking her, etc) that there wouldn't be signs of physical contact.

Either way I'm done with JF. March 9th can't get here soon enough then Noone will give two cents what Johnny boy does anymore. Heard his dad on 92.3 saying he's trying to get his boy help, well you need to up your efforts up. Spoiling him didn't help, your boy going to end up in a ditch or dying in some motel room of a drug OD.

I'm not sure of course, but it appears that this girl has issues as well. Could be that she is reason for some (or all) of Johnnys issues.

Johnny hasn't been charged with anything yet that I know of so I'll reserve judgement but man, this kid needs a ton of help.

If any part of these allegations prove to be true, He would probably get suspended by the league I would think. So cutting him will mean little to nothing.

Yep, it's hard to believe her factoring this is the second time we as a public known of her accusations of assault, but with no charges or evidence.

With Manziel though, it's also not difficult to not believe her. It's toxic for the both of them. They need an episode on Dr. PHIL.

On Friday, Manziel's agent Erik Burkhardt also voiced concern for Manziel and announced that he is terminating their professional relationship.

The family first tried Saturday afternoon to get Manziel, 23, to agree to go to the Enterhealth Ranch addiction facility in Van Alstyne, but he would not stay. That attempt came the day after Manziel's former girlfriend alleged in a police report that he hit her repeatedly at a Dallas hotel and while driving her home to Fort Worth on Jan. 29. Manziel has not been charged in the incident, but a Fort Worth Police helicopter searched the area for him.

Paul Manziel said that he tried to have his son admitted Tuesday to Carrollton Springs Hospital, but that Johnny was allowed to leave. Paul Manziel said that he is upset that his son was allowed to walk away after Paul told a Denton County Sherriff officer that he believed Johnny to be suicidal. Carrollton Springs is a 45-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital in Carrollton, providing inpatient and outpatient treatment to adults suffering from mental illness and/or addiction, according to its website.

Johnny Manziel, who is from Tyler and Kerrville, Texas, has spent the last several weeks in Dallas. The former Texas A&M quarterback and 2012 Heisman Trophy winner has been seen out, including at Wednesday night's Mavericks game.

I'm pretty sure that there isn't anyone here on this site that is dumb enough to compare Manziel to Gordon now. This brings things into the light that we may have suspected, but when the kids dad talks about him not living until he gets to 24 Years old, it's REAL.

Gordon, for all his faults, never went off the deep end. Stupid, you bet. But not anything like this.

My anger towards Johnny is actually turning to sadness. As a non fan, non Browns related standpoint, this kid needs real help immediately before his father's accusations of not living through 24 becomes reality.

I don't think he makes an NFL roster next year.

What's really sad is that half this board still thinks that somehow he's going to be our week one starter and that there's no proof he's done anything wrong.
