How very Presidential. I bet that he would call the leader of another country names, and then wonder why they wants to kill us.

I think this entire primary process is seriously flawed.
Given the size and 'sophistication' of this field of hopefuls, there's only one sensible solution:
A fully-caged 'Battle Royale' match.
It's over in one show. Neat & tidy.
I mean come on... who wouldn't want to see Carly Fiorina apply the DDT to Donald Trump? Or watch Marco Rubio get 'Turkey Joe Jones'd ' by Chris Christie?
yeah- I think I gotz da solution...

OldCold, I'm not what 40 thinks I am. I'm not a hard core liberal. I do have a bit of humanitarian in me, but Bernie is no less a product of anger than Trump is.
Why is anger driving us? Why isn't just dissatisfaction with our political and economic state? I don't think I'm angry, but that's just me. Blacks are angry over police shootings and disrespect from authorities. Southerners are angry at the libs who came down and tore down the Confederate Flag and dug up the buried families of Confederate leaders. Christians are angry because of abortion, gay marriage, divorce, the Ten Commandments being removed from the Courthouse, lack of respect for authority in this Country and being told that they are homophobes, oppressors and that they are the problem. Conservative are angry over the stupid economic policies of the left. They are angry that we have a split between the US and its Allies. They hate the failed public school system and the fact that many parents have stopped raising decent human beings for the rest of us to live with. Businesses and the working people are angry over high taxes and are tired of paying for the 50 percent of the population our government has created to be needy. Corporations are angry over some of the highest taxes in the world being right here in the USA. They want to compete with the rest of the world but our government ties their hands. Workers are angry because most jobs created in this Country do not pay a living wage. Libs are happy for they have had everything their own way.

The only thing that angers Clemmy is stupid drivers on the roads. He's responsible for everything else in his life, so:
if he's p.o.'ed about something, he has only himself to blame.
Life's too short to be angry, resentful and accusatory all the time. I sincerely doubt that all these ppl you've mentioned will be lying on their death beds thinking: "You know- I really should have spent more time being cranked at things that I couldn't control..."

road rage like a mug! Drives me nuts. Bad judgement on daily display. And some of them vote. It's why I place no faith in politics. Too many others to trust.

I don't like the French anyway. Although I'm not voting for Trump probably. I just wish we did some things his way. Nothing would be better than tearing into those frenchies

i don't have it completely figured out, but from my experience plus my readings...
some of those countries have to be ruled with an iron fist.
i really HATE HATE HATE to make this analogy, cause i don't wanna compare human beings to pets, but its like pets.
if you keep them cooped inside for a long time, like a cat, all he knows is the inside. same with dogs, except they gotta pee and and get walked.
well, if you open the door for a cat for the first time. they don't know what to do. they gonna sniff around for a while, and SLOWLY go outside.
some of them sprint outside and never come back.
but then what do most cats do? they go outside for a while, but they always end up coming back home.
our wonderful government decided that after centuries of that region of the world being ruled by an iron fist, we was gonna invade, take out the head honcho, and tell the people of iraq "welcome to freedom".
no transition period like other muslim countries had. Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Turkey had a transition period. Iran right now, if people actually look with an objective eye, is currently in their transition period, it's gonna be a few decades, but they are already on the way slowly.
but places like Iraq? Syria? Afghanistan? all they know is complete domination.
now, i'm not saying they needed to stay that way, but there were WAAAAYYY better methods to try and get that engine started than how we went about it.
So we just said "freedom"
no government in place. no iraqi army in place because we decided to disban it for whatever reason.
remember that period bro? we destroyed the government, and the iraqi's had no food, no water sources, nothing. riots in the streets because there was zero order.
people of dawgtalkers, this is a true story. when soldiers were fighting insurgents in iraq, there came a period were there was a cease fire.
soldiers started tossing our MRE's and bottles of water, the insurgents tossed their weapons to the ground and ran to get it, and BEGGED the soldiers for water to bring to their families.
whatever order that was previously there, we single handily put that region of the world into chaos the moment we stepped foot in iraq.
like a Fetus, THAT was the moment that ISIS started forming and developing. it wasn't when we decided to pull out of iraq. iraqi's were already fighting each other for power long before we pulled out of the region.
and that;s why ISIS had so many followers at the start. people needed food and water, and those groups, who ended up calling themselves ISIS eventually, promised that. food water, money for their families.
man i can get so in depth to this, but this isn't about OIF, it's about the GOP debate. my bad guys.

Yes I do actually...my memory is terrible now... I was in Takrit and remember it well. Ive also said the same thing..rule with a heavy hand in one of the threads about Syria I think and of course there was disagreement on that comment.

A question, a suggestion and an observation.
Question: Wasn't Afghanistan pretty much free before the taliban?
Suggestion: I think you should start a thread and give us some in depth inside scoop on your experiences.
Observation: When the children of Israel left Egypt with a slaves mentality it took one generation for them to have a free mentality.
Not saying we couldn't have done it better, but hopefully in the long run it will pay off.

While he probably shouldnt have repeated what the woman in the crowd said...meh...sounds like you didnt watch the video Y-town. I did listen to the entire thing. He repeated it, and made a joke out of it. He then said something along the line of .... I don't want her to get thrown out ... or similar. He was amused by it, and put on an over the top show of being offended for the press, and even said that it was what he was doing. I just thought the whole thing was in poor taste, but when you have a guy like Trump, who mouths off and acts like a human backside on many occasions, it's kind of expected. Just because a candidate is angry doesn't mean that he should be crude and ignorant.

Not saying we couldn't have done it better, but hopefully in the long run it will pay off. Afghanistan has been under the rule of the taliban since after reagan armed them and thy fought off the russians. they were never free. now, i'm not blaming Reagan, let's be clear. it's just a point i've been making on the board for a while now that we have the right intentions, but always seem to end up backing the wrong people, cause people are snakes. i dunno if i would make a thread about it. people would have to ask us specific questions. with the Israeli's, do you know the circumstances behind that? i'm not knowledgable on that specific event, so if you could school me, that would be great bro. i think we could do way better with starting the engine of democracy in the middle east, that doesn't involve all out war.

maybe not popular opinion but shouldve just left Saddam in charge Probably good policy for ANY of those countries run by despots. Libya fell apart after Qaddafi was toppled- ISIL moved right in. I predict the same if Bashar Al-Assad is forceably removed from office in Syria. The only way there is even a chance for a transfer of power is if it comes from within... and even then, there is no guarantee. Remember Egypt's Hosni Mubarak? Free election ushered in Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. It's a cluster over there... and it's going to be at least another 50-100 years before their cultures WANT to leave the Bronze Age. Until then, it will be 'bidniss as usual.' .02

with the Israeli's, do you know the circumstances behind that? i'm not knowledgable on that specific event, so if you could school me, that would be great bro. It's Old Teatament. When Moses was leading them into the promised land, having seen miracle after miracle by he hand of God they send 12 spies into check out the landscape. Ten came back with their tales between their legs saying there were giants in the land and they couldn't conquer it. Two of them had enough faith in God to believe they could. The children of Israel decided with the ten, so (and here's where the term wandering Jew and the jokes about Why did the Jews wander the desert for 40 years? come from) God decided that the children of Israel would wander the desert for 40 years and anyone over the age of 20, other than the two spies who had the faith to take the land, those being Joshua and Caleb would die in the desert and not enter into the promised land. Thereby removing all those that wanted to go back and live in bondage (here's the slave mentality) under the Egyptians.

I honestly think he's there to be the next Ross Perot. We all complain about the rich owning politicians, he's one of the rich that own the politicians and he's said as much during the debates even! I don't trust him.
