His biggest problem is that he makes too many failures, and not enough smart business decisions.

Those Yeezy's shoes are already iconic urban footwear. Him and adidas absolutely hit that one out of the park.

But his clothing line is a massive failure. If anybody could post those pics, we could find the same clothes underneath a bridge. And he's thing to sell those joints for like $1200 bucks.

Him and Jay-z have to be some of the worst businessmen in the entertainment industry I have ever witnessed. They have invested money into projects that have simply flopped.

I know there's probabaly not a lot of people who are into watching the global market as it relates to urban culture, but it's facsinating to me.

Other than one or two songs, I've always thought he was talent-less. I don't like to see anyone struggle with money problems but somehow I just can't find a way to feel for him.

I dated this guy who worked in an eye glass shop that makes eye ware for celebrities. Kanye came to his store one day and was a total dick to the staff.

Kanye West is still Tweeting and knows all eyes are on him, which is likely why he dropped this piece of news onto his timeline last night before heading to the stage on SNL:


$53 million is a lot of debt to have personally. The crushing weight of our own obligations to creditors is bad enough, so can you imagine $53 million worth of obligations just sitting right on your chest. It’s going to suck hard. Consequence of Sound has a little speculation behind this mystery:

Presumambly a majority of that debt has been accrued via his various fashion endeavors. APC founder Jean Touitou confirmed as much in a 2014 interview, at the time saying Kanye was $30 million in the hole from his line of women’s clothes.
But not so fast! Kanye has been Tweeting a lot and apparently just Tweeted this bit of junk recently:



First off, investing a billion dollars in someone is insanity. Second, this more than takes care of his little debt and allows him to continue creating fine fashion for all to have in the near future — like $100 Yeezys instead of the kind you have to sell a child to own.

The problem is that all of this could be false. I certainly don’t believe it right now as someone looking in from the outside, fogging up the windows of his house. If I see West stuffing newspaper into his jacket, then sure, I’ll buy that he’s going mad with all of his debt. But he just put out his album, had a massive fashion show, and seems to be one of the most talked about people in the world at the moment.

Just saying, if the guy is in debt, then he’s the dumbest person I’ve ever known in my life.

i present my evidence: world history. while capitalism might be a mainly american thing, the practice of caring more about celebrities than teachers is not. it's a global thing.

You would rather spend your money on trash like Kayne West and the Kardashians than your children's education. Then, you get offended when I say kids who go to private schools TYPICALLY come from families that value education more.

Kanye's clothing line is good enough. Over priced, for sure. But it's his own version of Rick Owens, which the entire Fashion world has been copying for the past 5 years or so. He just needs to make it not be so plain/refugee wear (A problem he's had since his first line). Ye, a very expressive person, has yet to make his clothing express anything.
