I can say with no embarrassment lol, that I played Battlefront online likely 65% of my Sunday haha.
The Heros Vs Villains game mode is my favorite, then Supremacy.

Is there a point to me getting Battlefront?
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Is there a point to me getting Battlefront? IMO no, there are non multi-player things to do, but it's clear the real guts and focus of the game is it's multi-player. Maybe they'll continue to add free updates that expand the single player mode, but I doubt they will.

Is there a point to me getting Battlefront? No, absolutely not. There are like 6 training missions, and maybe 4 maps that are like the multiplayer game, but single player. Other than the training, where you can command an X-wing and an AT-ST, you can't control any vehicles. So you're running around shooting guys like battlefront, and collecting points. You can play the "Heroes" mode, which lets you control someone like Luke, Vader or the Emperor, so you can kill guys faster, but it's pretty much the same thing. It all gets old after about 2 hours. I honestly got more enjoyment out of the FIFA 16 DEMO.

And I havent even played it yet.. If i were you, I'd buy a 2 week subscription to PSPlus or XboxLive, and grab a used copy of Battlefront at Gamestop. Find yourself a good week where you have time to videogame, and play Battlefront for a week, then go ahead and return it for a full refund. It shows on the back of Gamestop receipts on pre-owned games you can return within 7 days, no questions asked. I do it all the time. I have a copy of Xenoblade X to try out for WiiU right now, which I'll return (and either buy a new copy or not buy one at all). I'm not a big online gamer either, and all battlefront was was big multiplayer online battles. But, it's Star Wars, so it's fun for a little while. EA has made a ton of money off the game, IMO simply because it's Star Wars. So that's what i'd do if i were you. Find yourself a week stretch of time when you'll have time to game, get a pre-owned copy of battlefront, get a 2 week subscrption to an online service (like 10$), and just mess around. You're only losing 10$ and you can say you played it and get that nostalgic feeling as you get through the different levels. Unfortunately, you probably dont' get any of the extras with the used copy, but at least you don't have to spend anything on it. There's absolutely no reason to play the game if you won't play online, but I say you compromise and play online for a week

Dropping the AT AT with the Tow Cable is probably still the most fulfilling thing in my video game career. Agreed, I remember that distinctly. Rogue Squadron was also a fav of mine. JC: I just beat Metal Gear Solid 5 Chapter 1, and I'm taking an intermission from the game. There's a chapter 2 that's like half as long as Chapter 1 I guess. But for anyone wondering, that game is very very good. THere's a lot to it. There's a stealth aspect, or if you want you can be like me in the end (as I lost my patience) and just shoot everyone in the head. But the environments and gameplay are amazing. It's a very challenging game too. Highly recommended, it got the reviews it did for a reason. I'm thinking about getting an XboxOne this year. Enough exclusive games are coming out for it that I am interested in playing. This QuantumBreak, Sunset Overdrive, and Halo. So we're at three. I don't count TombRaider because that comes out for PS4 holiday season anyway.

Not hating on the game, I do enjoy the leveling system but at the same time I hate the Dark Zone garbage. It reminds me of Day Z (which is a horrible game) and it turns into everybody lets kill each other for loot. It made me turn the game off, but I did enjoy the Coop portion which was very short.

I didn't have any issues with the beta. The Dark Zone was odd. I sat there and ransacked two locations and had all kinds of stuff waiting for extract, then all of a sudden two people ganged up on me and killed me. Not sure I really like that aspect.
Plus I thought we'd be able to play together on some of the missions, not just the Dark Zone stuff. I hope that's just a beta thing.
Otherwise, cool. A lot of options it seems. I like the incendiary ammo. Weapon and mods seems endless and there's the crafting element that wasn't revealed.

I was able to do the Hospital Mission with a group of four on PS4. I'm not sure why you weren't able to group. It was pretty fun. I got to be pretty lethal with the marksman rifles.
I agree the Dark Zone could be annoying. Being out numbered and getting killed by people camping the extract zones was aggravating. Having a group and turning the tables on those griefers did feel pretty rewarding, though.
I wish they would have let us see a bit more of the crafting. I'm curious as to the depth/variety/quality.

Anybody play Undertale?
As someone who loved turn-based RPGs with memorable characters like Earthbound, older Final Fantasies and the Paper Mario or Mario and Luigi games, this game caters to literally exactly what I like. It's hilariously written, has extensive replay value and doesn't require a whole lot of skill to learn but the toughest parts are pretty awful.

I get the feeling that the developers for the Division are still tweaking the dark zone. There was a TON more people going rogue and killing each other PvP since the closed beta.
I got lit up pretty good, which was frustrating. You definitely get picked on if you're running around alone.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

It'd be nice if instead of grouping solely by level, they also distinguished by group size. Getting outnumbered by a pack of rogues when I didn't have friends on sucked.
Still, it looks like it should be a pretty good game. I guess shooters and RPGs are my wheelhouse, though.

In the market for a new one myself, looking at a XFX R9 380 4 gigs RAM for $189.00 on new egg with a 20 dollar rebate. I've always been a budget type of a guy, never looking to break the bank on these type of things. Thoughts on that card?

I bought a Gigabyte GTX-970 4GB G1 Gaming OC Edition, it should arrive today. At $319, it's definitely a bit more expensive than what you picked up, but I think you'll be quite happy with yours.
I always run all of my video card purchases past TomsHardware's 'Graphics Hierarchy Chart'. If my planned upgrade doesn't move me up at least three levels, I wait. I also use a site like GPUBoss to handle direct comparisons of card families for me, so I can see sensible numbers of how things stack up to each other

A brief story on the greatest finish in Madden that happened the other day..
Game 2 vs Cincy
A back and forth defensive battle turns into an offensive explosion in the 4th Quarter..
Cincy goes up a touchdown with a minute and change left on the clock..
Johnny Manziel can't muster a first down, Cincy gets the ball back inside Cleveland's twenty with under a minute to go, the game is basically over..
Questionablly, Cincinnati trys to throw the ball instead of running the clock, two incompletions later, its third down..
They finally hand the ball off to Jeremy Hill.. Who gets laid out by Campbell! The ball is on the ground and is recovered by Robertson!
Cleveland has 15 seconds left and only one timeout, on their own 15 yard line..
1st Down: Incomplete Pass to Barnidge 2nd Down: Pass COMPLETE to Travis Benjamin, stopped at the 50. Time Out Cleveland.
One play left, and they have to score.. Manziel scrambles right.. and throws it deep down the sideline to Benjamin.. ITS CAUGHT.. Travis is dragging Adam Jones to the goal line.. But no.. he's stopped at the one yard line..
PASS INTERFERENCE, DEFENSE.
The Browns get one more shot! An untimely down!
Manziel fires the ball to Duke out of the backfield.. TOUCHDOWN. TIE BALL GAME!
Cincinnati players are dumbfounded, however they win the toss in overtime and the the ball first..
The first play of overtime Andy Dalton drops back, INTERCEPTED by Tramon Williams! He returns it to the 15.. Three runs later, Travis Coin kicks the Game Winning FG! Browns 34-31 in Overtime!
Sidenote: Benji actually scored on that final play in regulation, he caught it one handed, after being interfered with, and drug Jones into the end zone and fell down. But accepting the penalty for some reason only put me at the 19. Declining it Ended the Game..
I was pissed cause I thought I was going to lose on a glitch. But Johnson was WIDE OPEN over the middle to tie it up..

So I'm torn on what to do about getting the ps4..
I've been reading that the latest models that have the cuh1200 product code (improved power consumption numbers, etc, nothing too fancy but it's an overall upgrade) only come in 500gb hdd at the moment. Any 1TB at the moment you see at a store is the old 1100..
I've been trying to see when there may be 1TB 1200 available but can't find anything, and a lot of people who write about this stuff seem to think at some point there may be a slim version that will obviously run even better.
So I have a few options. I could buy the 1TB and deal with it. I could also buy the newest 500gb model and upgrade the HDD another team (cloud saving makes that process not so bad since you can't really lose anything)
Or I can wait it out to see when a new generation of the ps4 gets released. More times than not the longer you wait the better deal you get along with a system that is less likely to screw up, since they work out all the bugs and other issues.
Any thoughts?
I'm leaning toward just getting the 500gb and worrying about an HDD upgrade when it becomes necessary.
I have some other things I need to do with my money at the moment, so I have time. I still don't even know what game I may purchase at first.

I love my PS4 and don't really have harddrive issues. You can always re-download games if you really need to. If you're worried about PS+ just click download, then click cancel. It's re-downloadable as long as you have PS+. But I prefer buying the games. Getting the hard case and all that. And if you have Amazon Prime, you certainly get better deals on brand new games than digital. And I find better deals on games on Amazon than the digital shop all the time as well. So I wouldn't think the harddrive issue is that big of a deal. The biggest bug I've dealt with (and I play A LOT) was what I mentioned maybe a month ago, an overly sensitive eject button problem. I fixed it myself because my 1 year warranty was up. That was the only thing that pissed me off. It was a regular fault in many people's systems, because of a poor design, and they wanted me to pay them to fix it. Fixed it myself though no problem. Youtube miracle. Just had to buy a 10$ screwdriver Tork screw driver thing or something like that. And opening up a gaming system isn't like when i took apart my iphone and tried to change my charging port. It's not that intimidating at all. The flaws I've had with the DS4 controller I also fixed myself, but it was more difficult than the eject button issue. And I don't think the DS4 controller is changing anytime soon. I'd go ahead and get a PS4. They've got some great games, and if you haven't played PS3, some of the remasters are great. For example, Uncharted 4 comes out this Spring, and you can buy the Uncharted Trilogy Re-Mastered for like 30$. Great deal. Rise Of Tomb Raider should be out in November too I dunno if you have any of the other systems, but to me, waiting makes no sense. This is a pretty good time in gaming. I haven't played a crappy game in awhile. I guess Call Of Duty Blackops 3, which I returned. Currently I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles X for the WiiU, tremendous one. Finally getting some value out of that system. But I play the heck out of my PS4. Plenty of good games

I have 525 GB free on a 1 TB hardrive and I haven't installed Fallout 4 yet. It depends on the games you play, but space can add up pretty fast, especially if you do anything digital only. I'm doing pretty much all disks except World of Tanks. If I downloaded Warframe or DC Universe (other "free" with PS Plus games) again, that'd be a bunch of space, too.

I want to upgrade but am not in a huge rush, and like I said, I have one or two things I need to take care of (one of them being a car issue) before I drop money on a system + games. I am totally a disc person as well. I like having the physical case and disc. Even then I hear that ps4 is mandatory install on all games, and they are pretty big in size? It's not a huge deal for me because I tend to go at a game one or two a time. I don't pop in a different game every other day. I was more asking because I didn't want to drop money on the current best option and have one come out in 3 weeks that's all around better with a bigger HDD. I looked around thought and can't see a new generation of ps4s, or even the slim model on any timeframe. Anything past next fall and I'm not worried.. I also saw that Amazon is offering something like a 20% discount on games if you preorder.. That's pretty awesome. I don't really jump on brand new games the day they come out but I would certainly be more willing if they were to knock 10-12 bucks off, on top of the free shipping.. Appreciate all the feedback. I'm pretty excited to jump into the next gen. Especially with the sports games. Our new tv has 5 HDMI slots, so I can keep my ps3 hooked up and still rock my college football. As far as games go. I will probably buy one sports game and one other game. I'm thinking 2k basketball and either the Witcher or Arkham Knight.

Just in case the game sucks, I never pre-ordered. I usually like to see reviews first. I think Amazon's deal applies to "Newly Released" games too. Whatever that means. So you might be able to just purchase at the same discount a day or two after it comes out to make your decision. I'm pretty back logged right now anyway. I've gotta beat the game I'm playing now, then next up is going through the uncharted trilogy (remastered) before I can borrow my buddy's Uncharted 4. After that, I still want to try Mad Max, Zelda WiiU has to come out soon enough (same as Star Fox) and there's bound to be more games for the winter before Mass Effect: Andromeda comes out, which is going to be sickkkk For anyone playing the WiiU, right now I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles X. It's a helluva game. First Japanese RPG I've enjoyed since Final Fantasy X. I dunno if it's better than mass effect, fallout, witcher, skyrim, or dragon age: inquisition , but I certainly am enjoying it. I am willing to say that the world they created (while there isn't various cities to go visit like in these other ones (there's only one home city)) is quite remarkable. Probably the best artistically done game I've ever played. Considering it's on the WiiU, I'm very impressed. Plus, unlike fallout and some of these other games, no bugs/glitches.

Best Buy offers a thing called Gamer's Club or something, it's a small fee for two or so years but you get a big % off new games, and I guess they give you a decent % on your old/used games.
I don't buy/pre-order many new games much anymore, so I don't think it would pay off much but if I use to game as I did back some years ago - I'd had been all over that! Eventually the membership would pay itself off then boom, it's $ in the pocket.

I keep almost buying WWE 2k16.
Almost bought Mad Max but saw it had a 3.5/5 rating..
Waiting for a Nascar game on the Xbox One.. Hopefully they bring back a career mode type thing.. I like working my way up the ranks..

Mad Max was okay. You can get that off eBay or something, used, for dirt cheap.
The Division released yesterday, and... it's awesome lol. I figured out how to use the matchmaking, so playing together with others on the missions is pretty fun!

I'm just not much of an omline guy. The occasional shooter and that's about it. I live for single player offline that I can play at my own pace. The only stuff I could really find on it was online. Pretty hilarious that people are trolling hard by blocking others from getting through doors, lol. Mad Max seems to get a lot of "ok" reviews, but for me that looks like mindless fun. Also, has anyone played Dying Light? That looks like my kinda game.

The Division is online, but you don't have to group up. I've been able to solo the story missions with no problems. You'll definitely want company if you head into the Dark Zone (pvp area), but it's not a place you have to go. Other players show up in the safe zones and dark zone, but for most missions only your group shows up in your active instance so you don't have to worry about them being in your way/clearing things while you're twiddling your thumbs.

Yep, exactly. You're not forced by any means to play with other people online, but a few of those missions, playing on hard, you'll regret not. Besides it gets mega fun if you find a team where people are using different skill/abilities and aren't morons that run out, no cover and get mowed down. It's very addictive.
