Trump will win the republican nomination. Then he will kick liberal booty.

He is like an infection. There is nothing you can do about it.

Trump winning on Tuesday is a foregone conclusion. It is boring.

I am mostly looking forward to Sanders getting his butt kicked.

That will be fun.

Others said he is like an STD, I am glad to see you lessen that to just an infection! brownie

If Trump wins Florida, it is over for Rubio.

If Trump wins Texas, it is over for Cruz.

Very true and when she steps out of line, the Republican House and Senate would shut her down.

Y'all go ahead and do that.

You thought it was bad publicity when the republicans were blocking Obama, and got hit with the race cars..

Wait til y'all start blocking Hilary. Boy oh boy.

Y'all can come over to the crib, all the popcorn and beer is on me.

We need to get young voters out to the ballot box at midterms. That's what's keeping obstructionism alive. I'm not talking about just keeping the current Dems in there, either. We need more people like Elizabeth Warren in there. Wiener was great, but then he couldn't keep his phone away from his pants.

As insensitive as this may sound, the fact is that the generation of politicians current in are gonna start retiring/dying off/losing elections.

They are just getting too old. I think one thing that these politicians are currently struggling to deal with is that yes, Americans are a smarter voting group than in past generations, and that's because of social media, and the Internet at whole.

Everybody has the constitution in their finger tips. Everybody could look up a state, and federal law with a Google search on their iPhone. People are just, in general, more conscious, more aware of their surroundings. And the old politicians can't keep up.

Yes, we do remember what you did and said 20 years ago.
Yes, we remember how you voted on these issues.
Yes, we know the history of our country.

I wish Warran would've ran. She is still so in touch with us younger voters bro. She gets it.

Man, rocket, you know why there is so much divide right now? Social media has forced us in this country to discuss our dark secrets, past and present.

What's the 3 main things they say you shouldn't talk about with strangers?

Race
Religion
Politics

Yet look what we do right here on DT. Talk about those 3 on a regular basis. Always searching for a way to either prove a point, gain some understanding, or at least keep updated with the current opinions of issues.

Nobody can just brush these issues off. And that's what need. That's called progress. We need to finally talk and Come to understandings with these issue.

And I think the current generation of politicians just can't handle it. They can't adapt fast enough.

I'm high, my bad.

The American Freedom Party (formerly the American Third Position Party or A3P) is a third position American political party that promotes white supremacy. In November 2009 it filed papers to get on a ballot in California, and was launched in January 2010.

Welcome aboard Bro, need a sponsor? rofl

I will set up a third chair at the meeting!

I'd rather have Sanders than Hillary. Anyone but Hillary. We even have a guy running, Keith Judd, who's a convict on our ballot. I didn't even know convicts could run and this one has a web page. How the heck does a convicted felon sitting in a state penitentiary get his own web page?

So I am choosing Sanders over the convict too.

Sanders is probably the most principled man in this race. I don't agree with his stances but he and Dr. Carson at least have values and stand by them. The rest of them are your basic politician scum. Look at what this election has degraded into. I remember watching some foreign election, Bosnia or somewhere one guy jumped over the desk at the other guy and they started fighting, I'm thinking we're just one, maybe two, election cycles away from that kind of behavior.

I seem to remember a more orderly and polite society when I was growing up. I liked it better.

A couple of thoughts.

I hate that the Democrats have only offered up Hillary and Sanders. Yuck.

The Republicans have let Trump drag them into the dumpster. Now we have Rubio making comments about "small hand size" hint... hint .. and other disgusting things. Lowest Common Denominator.... Wins.

We all lose.

I agree with Eve as well Tulsa - he does mean well, however his tax plan is horrible and because of that I would take Hillary as well (I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit by saying that). Eve if I recall, like myself, is a small business owner - Bernie's tax hikes will devastate small business, as well as a really hurt the upper middle class. His tax plan is ludicrous, as I've said many times in various threads. It is an abomination.

I agree with everything you think about his tax plan. First I don't think he can get the nod. Second he's not going to win Oklahoma. We are the reddest of the red. Okla humma means "Red People" in Choctaw. Many think that's for all the Native Americans we have here, na, it's just everyone is republican.

I just have an opportunity to vote in the primaries but only on the D side so I'm choosing to vote against Hillary. For Sanders because the guy seems to have integrity. I may not agree with him but at least I can respect him. I have no respect for the Clintons.

I think the much more interesting part of the election process is does Trump all but guarantee the end of the republican party as we know it and the conservative movement?

Why do you all think Trump has been so damned successful at dismantling the republican party? Even the republicans who say they will support Trump if he is the nominee say they hate what he stands for, although its hard to put a finger on what he will do or for that matter how he will do it.

But more interesting is why have the republican voters flocked to him?

How many congressional seats and most likely the presidency will Trump cost the party? and what will the end results mean for the country?

It floored me last night when McCain said that the republicans would make sure Obama didn't get a hearing on the SC nominee, it was laughable since most likely the next nominee to the court will be a card carrying liberal of the sort Obama would never dare put forward, and the reason I say that is because I think the Democrats will take back congress in this election cycle and then the democrats will do as they please. The do nothing agenda is about to do them in and they still can't figure it out....LMAO

You can add to the list folks but Trump is about to end the republican party as it is now known IMO, and sorry to say this because at one time the republican party was a party of honor and understood the importance of compromise IMO.

I think the republican party is played out......

Yep. The congress that got put in running on the platform that Obama is a Muslim is about to go out the window.

The "movement" of the tea party put them in, and the GOP led congress has done absolutely nothing that benefited us in any way.

And now their two leading candidates are trump and Cruz?

Is there some bet to see who can be the craziest in the party that I'm not aware of?

Long before Trump came along, many of us life long Republicans recognized our Party was sick and possible dying. What you see now is the reset button being pushed.

Trump is all about Republicans protesting the Party, Cruz as well. We have a big problem with our establishment.

Many of us have tagged the establishment as RINO's. Republicans In Name Only. Change is coming.

At the same time we have watched, for decades now, as politician after politician from both parties brought America to the mess it is in. Perhaps a non-politician, businessman will rattle the cage enough to get things turned around.

Reset button pushed!

I have a question for you 40 and I'm not attacking your politics this time. I remember you being very excited when the Republicans took back the majority in congress and saying stuff would get done now. Maybe I lost count but I can't remember anything at all getting done. So my question is how do you feel about his?

Exactly! The lack of the Repubs shutting down anything is part of the reason the Donald is surging. People are frustrated with this status quo and Hillary will only carry it on for another four.

The Donald may be crazy but he is unintimidatable.....if that is a word.

Feeling like there is no "good" choice in this election. Today will be interesting!!

Is it just me or does Trump's campaign sound a whole lot like "Hope and Change"?

Isn't this what every politician does? Get the people all riled up about how terrible our government is and how much it needs to change and then when they get to office, nothing really changes.

Trump is just better at bringing out people's anger than most because of his uncensored-drunk-uncle-at-Christmas demeanor. Doesn't mean he'll be able to do diddly squat, though.

Just like the Dems drank the kool-aid with Obama, the Reps are doing the same thing now. It's really all a farce.

I just want someone America can be proud of on a global scale. Someone respectable and generally likable. I haven't seen one candidate on either side of the aisle that fits this yet.

The government is supposed to be an obstructionist system. It was set up to be this way, so no one party or philosophy could take complete control. We saw what happens when a single party holds the entire government when the democrats held the senate, house, and presidency, and the ACA got passed without opposition, except from within the democrat party. The republicans could do nothing to stop any of it. A good half of the populace or more did not want the law passed, and still do not want the law.

Right now, people are unhappy with the government on both sides. Neither side seems to be listening to the people. Personally, I think the republican party needs to fail, as they are obviously not listening to their constituents. This happened before when the Whig party fell and the republican party was created in the aftermath. As the whigs were just democrat light, they were not truly in opposition to the democrats. The current republican establishment has also become democrat lite, and it will fail if it continues.
