It's funny, everything he was busted for, and ultimately got him suspended, was like one molecule over the limit each time.

I'm glad Josh Gordon is as ready or more ready for a workout than he is to pee... Although if did have to pee, it might make him look like he's running with urgency on the field. I know DB's are getting sick watching him jog away from them.

I think we should cut ties with Gordon and here's why. I am starting to ask myself this question. Would you sign this guy to a second contract at his market value? I have a hard time believing the Browns would invest that kind of money into a ticking time bomb. Therefore he's not a part of the long term solution. Move on.

He'll be a year to year high priced rental on contending teams as soon as he's done here.

We're talking about a kid that what, hardly even a month ago listed his priorities and then followed them up with "if you're not contributing to that, I gotta dissociate" or something - and you hang out with a dude that's soon to get cut and possibly soon to serve jail time?

Josh must take us for bloody fools. It's why I still advocate trading him.

Hang around trouble long enough, you're going to get into it. Factoring he's trying to get reinstated, there's nothing positive that can come outta a pic of you and Johnny boy partying. Besides that's not the influence either of those two troubled kids need.

I agree with you. I believe what it most certainly does mean is that Josh continues to make bad decisions.

No matter how any of us feel, common sense should dictate to Josh that hanging out and posting pics on the internet of him and JFF together would bring unwanted attention and negative press to what has been a volatile situation.

Nope, it doesn't "mean" anything happened.. all it means is that both are completely clueless about what your image and reputation mean when you are trying to be a high profile athlete. neither of them have an ounce of self-awareness...

Gordon can get high just sitting next to Manziel.

I just don't see it as a big deal. It's tough to tell from that pic, but they don't look ripped to me.

The biggest problem is this: Josh Gordon is currently banished from the league and there is absolutely, positively, no guarantee that he gets back in. It's spelled out in the substance abuse policy that the decision is Goodell's and Goodell's only and basically Goodell can do whatever he wants.

I'm assuming that Gordon can't drink because his current banishment stems from drinking alcohol, which he was prohibited from doing due to his DUI (which itself happened while he was in limbo regarding a previous banishment from the league)...

So he's hanging out with a guy who has more than his fair share of substance abuse and domestic abuse issues and honestly it is just not a good look, especially when it is in Vegas.

Now look, I realize none of this means Josh Gordon did anything wrong or took/drank anything he wasn't supposed to. It really shouldn't affect his status with the league but this assumes that Roger Goodell always acts fairly, objectively, and competently...

not sure what Goodell expects but JG applied for reinstatement January 20th, the league has 60 days to make a decision so just staying at home the next couple weeks actually happens to be an excellent idea.

I think those bashing Josh for being in the same place as Johnny need to chill TFO. If Josh screws up again then he deserves all the bashing all of us can lay on him, BUT for now he has done nothing to deserved being jumped all over for his behavior in the last year.

I clicked on the link, Mary Kay Cosmetic wrote her usual speculative, QB heavy article that fills space and time but does nothing else. She's getting worse.

Do we know if they were together or did they just happen to run into each other while at the fight? If it was the latter then I don't see where Gordon did anything wrong.

Businesswise, this makes no sense.

We still have him for two years before his a UFA. One year on rookie contract and one year with a RFA tag.


Gordon is still only 24 (soon to be 25). Hanging out with Johnny might not be the best of choices, but so do Mike Evans and Von Miller. And I think we'd like both those guys on our team........


I don't think we should fit him into "long-term plans" or anything. But there's no reason to not keep him around. My theory with him is, don't put him in our long-term plans. Don't make FA decisions based on him. Don't make draft decisions based on him.


So if if it works out, great. If not, no big deal. Afterall, this kid had a better season as a receiver than any player we've had since returning to the NFL.

I have to say that Manziel is really making bad decisions. Why hang out w/a guy who has been kicked out of two colleges for drugs and been suspended by the NFL numerous times for drugs.

but in this case, as he applies for reinstatement, keeping a nice clean image could be important... it's like if your wife is suspicious that you are cheating on her, even if you aren't, you don't take your hot assistant to a conference and post selfies of the two of you having a great time at the hotel bar... you just don't.
