This team has regressed 10 fold under Lue..Good call griffin...hope when you get fired in the offseason with Lue you guys go and ruin another contender. This team has zero mojo and seem to be getting worse every game..You have your superstar paying more attention to his twitter account than building chemistry, you do nothing to fix the bench, trade a 1st round pick and a local good guy for a guy that you won't play. Meanwhile the teams you are chasing are plowing through to the finish line. Can't get excited about this team anymore..you just know they are going to do something stupid. They are the Derrick Anderson of NBA teams

And yet, they are still in prime position to make the Finals.
And once you are there. Anything can happen.

People should be very worried about toronto..but even if we do make it, i think we have less than a 30% chance of winning. Theres just too much going on and too much not going right and now with less than 20 games to go, you should be pretty set in what you want to do now.

Call me crazy but it looks to me like we've reverted back to the sell the farm for some magic beans like the last time Lebron was here rather than build a team around him.
If he woulda passed that ball out instead of getting called for that 3 second violation we might've gotten some points on that possession.
Like Andy said about GS, they give up good shots for great shots.

To me, this looks like the classic game where a really good team overlooks a team with injuries, that is struggling to find 5 guys to start ......
And this is what seems to happen in these situations.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

i think we have less than a 30% chance of winning. Better than 0. And hell, if we're going into the Finals against GS or SA.. the pressures all on them.. I think so.e are over looking the fact that the Cavs are an extremely talented team. No they are not playing at an all time pace, but to compare this Cavs team to the 08-10 Cavs is just ridiculous. Lets not even talk about the 07 team..

We had so many turnovers, I had to turn the game off. The last turnover my eyes could stomach was when Irving dribbled into four people during crucial point scoring offensive series. Done, tuned it off.
That game should've not even been close, let alone resulting in a loss. Someone tell this team to bring their hearts for next game. What a worthless display of professional sports.

But toronto matches up very well and is better in alot of spots than we are.

bottom line is kyrie and lebron cannot coexist. They both try to do too much. This team is just a bunch of selfish players. It really is a mess right now. Less than 20 games. Chasing a team making history and not far behind is a dynasty. Typical Cleveland luck

I wonder if we could genetically modify Lebron to have Steph Currys shooting ability. The city of Cleveland *might* then be able to win a title.

The easy thing to say is that nobody can stop LeBron but obviously some players can slow him down and force him to work harder to get worse looks, etc. Kawhi Leonard does it better than anybody. Iggy and Draymond Green do an admirable job for the Warriors, among others. I don't really see it with Toronto... I know the Cavs have problems, I'm not glossing over that point but once they start trying in the playoffs, they will probably just out-talent everybody in the East. The Cavs will be underdogs in the Finals but upsets do happen and if nothing else, Curry or Kawhi rolling an ankle at the wrong time would dramatically changes the Cavs outlook.

i'm really hoping we OKC can pull an upset over GS in the playoffs. I rather see them or the spurs than GS.

Just clicking Swish
I had said it before, Jim Chones said it the other night on post game radio, and I think the Lakers showed it a little bit. The way to beat Golden State is to be tough and physical. Push the envelope on what the refs will allow. Push them around, pound them in the paint. To quote Kobe " beat the isht out of them"

Chris Paul is the best at guarding Steph Curry because he gets very physical with him. The Warriors own the Clippers soul.

Chasing a team making history and not far behind is a dynasty. Typical Cleveland luck Selfish players is probably right on the nose. I'm starting to think that losing Love and Kyrie in the playoffs last year was a bit of a blessing in disguise. Sure, we could tear through a "bad" team like the Celtics in the playoffs, but when we got to better teams later on, we had a team that could grind it out and play defense, while knowing they had to defer to Lebron on offense. With Love and Irving, we have two guys that want the offense to flow through them and are terrible at defense. At least Lebron is pretty good at Defense when he tries. The fundamental flaws in our "big three" are soul crushing. Love cannot defend a pick-and-roll to save his life, and his on-ball offense isn't much more than post-up isolation. Kyrie can't defend anything and his game is more conducive to a shooting guard than a point guard. We have to give big minutes to Delly because he's actually better at both. Lebron just likes to be lazy and his "leadership" is probably more disruptive than anything. Rather than pull a guy aside and point something out, he has to make a point to belittle them in front of everyone. I get it's a long regular season and he can't go 100% all-out every single game. But when he calls out team-mates and berates them for playing lazy defense or running bad offense, all while doing the same thing himself, his teammates are probably get sick of him, rather than taking the constructive criticism. I'm hoping they all suck it up and do stuff that helps the team rather than themselves. That Love takes on the role of tenacious rebounder and spot-up three shooter, and is just happy with it. That Kyrie happily takes on the 6th-man role, comes off the bench and pours in his points against the other teams bench, rather than being the square peg in the round hole of our first team. That Lebron just stops complaining at anyone on the court and plays his game more like Karl Malone, rather than Kobe Bryant. But it's probably a tall ask at this point.

That was depressing.
It's hard to believe it's gone so wrong.
Only in Cleveland would this not work.

I just don't see how LeBron could walk away at this point after that letter. By his own admission he said it would be a tough road. What would that do to his image by packing up after two years and moving on? I just don't see it.

I know athletes say they don't think about bad plays, but that's such a lie. Guys know when they're struggling. They don't need fans or the opponent to tell them that. Kevin Love knew he couldn't hit the 3 tonight. That was the most animated I've seen him after that 4 point play.

Saw the game started at 10 and ruled out staying up for that. Figured they'd would falter again in another heartless display.
See Irving had 30 points and TT had a good game. Watched the four point Love play, that was awesome.

Going to the game tonight. I'm a little less enthused than I was a few months ago, but I'm still hoping for a good game. It's the last time we'll see Kobe and Lebron together on a court in an NBA game.

Changed a few things. I don't see us playing in LA, then winning a back to back in Utah.... and I think we will lose the final game resting a bunch of players because our spot is locked up.

I'd expect them to do just enough to cruise to the #1 seed, unless they feel that the #2 seed gives them a better matchup as we get closer to the end of the season.
Which, how crazy is it that we have a team that is the #1 seed in the East, yet I can't help but feel completely down about these guys, as if they are a train wreck waiting to happen??

Yeah, especially considering how bad the Browns are.
I think it might be because many of us know that the Cavs probably have the best overall talent in the entire NBA, but their selfishness, pettiness, and lack of having a "WE" mentality as opposed to a "Me" mentality is going to be their undoing.

I'm not really sure anyone on this team is more talented than Steph Curry. I'd argue the overall talent of Curry eclipses many of our stars, combined.
