The big loser tonight is Rubio, the establishments son. Man, that's for sure. At least Kasich had a poll come out today that shows him as ahead in Michigan, and he should run strong in Ohio. Maybe it's too little too late, but he has a path forward.at least for a while. However, I have trouble seeing where Rubio wins going forward. Rubio came in 3rd in Kentucky, 3rd in Kansas, 4th in Maine, and 3rd in Louisiana. Ouch. Everyone knows who Rubio is, and, unfortunately for him, he has become "Little Marco". He is damaged beyond repair right about now. He will lose Florida, and probably badly. I think that he stands a growing chance of coming in 3rd in his own home state. I just hope that someone manages to derail the Trump train. At least I have some hope that someone can slow him down now.

If Kasich finishes "2nd" or "3rd" in this thing I'm going to be actually pretty encouraged by Republican voters going forward. Even with the monumental screw up of possibly voting for Trump.

this has gone from amusing, to comical, to hilarious, to just plain old sad. so they are trying to get a guy who can't even control congress right now. Ryan is doing as good as a job that he can, but prior to the trump fiasco, was having issues uniting the republican party on senate issues already. grasping for straws. Republicans in tailspin, group forms to draft Ryan for U.S. president http://news.yahoo.com/republicans-tailspin-group-forms-draft-ryan-u-president-141506858.htmlBy Doina Chiacu and Megan Cassella WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With U.S. Republicans sharply split over a front-runner they cannot unite behind, a new group is trying to push the country's top elected Republican, Paul Ryan, into the White House race. The Committee to Draft Speaker Ryan filed papers as a Super PAC with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday, adding to the groups of mainstream Republican leaders and donors with a shared goal: stopping Trump. Ryan, the House of Representatives speaker who spoke out against Trump for not quickly rejecting white supremacist support, did not appear ready to take on the role. "He is flattered, but not interested," Ryan spokeswoman AshLee Strong said in an email on Friday. Politico first reported the formation of the draft-Ryan PAC. Mitt Romney, the Republicans' losing presidential candidate in 2012, also said he was not interested. "There are no circumstances I can foresee where that would possibly happen," Romney said on NBC's "Today" show on Friday, a day after he excoriated Trump as a fraud ill-equipped for the White House. The Republican Party may need more than a hero as it grapples with its deepest divisions in decades. Those splits were on display again on Thursday night as Trump took on his two closest challengers, U.S. Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz of Texas, in a debate marked by the yelling, name-calling and vulgarity that has tainted the 2016 Republican race. Trump's rivals said they would support the ultimate nominee but it was clear on Friday that would be easier said than done. "That is the quandary I'm trying to avoid the Republican Party having to face," Rubio said on CNN on Friday. While the anti-Trump movements proliferated, some Republicans have urged party leaders to respect the will of the voters. Trump spokesman Sam Clovis seized on that message on Friday, warning on CNN that it was dangerous for Republican leaders to "call American voters stupid" because they support Trump. "You have record turnout in every state so far. Record turnout. That doesn't happen by accident, said Clovis, national campaign co-chairman. Trump is "tapping into what is going on in this country like no one else has in a long, long time. I haven't seen anything like this since Ronald Reagan." Columnist Peggy Noonan, a former Reagan speechwriter, had a different lament in the Wall Street Journal on Friday. "I think we are seeing a great political party shatter before our eyes," she said. "But we are witnessing history. Something important is ending. It is hard to believe what replaces it will be better. No one knows where this goes. The top of the party and the bottom have split." (Reporting by Doina Chiacu and Megan Cassella; Writing by Doina Chiacu; Editing by Bill Trott)

the only way they have a shot is if either bernie or hilary run as an independent.
but that's probably not gonna happen. If trump is serious about running as an independent if the GOP doesn't give him the nomination, then all they are doing is running for publicity purposes, and to fill their pockets with the campaign finances.
because a two party split in running? they don't stand a chance.

Man I dont remember which Rep it was on TV but he said he would vote for Hillary over Trump and you know what...I bet he wins his seat again...people are stupid or are waking up...not sure which at the moment. You dont have Dems saying that dumb stuff...Republican leadership is completely out of touch.

the question is, at which golf course? Isnt this the last season of American Idol NOT going to happen...but if they take it from Trump the republican party as we know it is over and I'll be happy about it. Get people in who can win...I do agree with 1 thing you said Swish and have thought about since I read it...The Rep are out of touch and are not adapting...and sending Mitt freaking Romney out to tell us how stupid we are for supporting Trump was dumb on so many levels...they dont get it.

God forbid we ever elect a president in this country that does what’s in the best interest of the people. Let’s keep electing liars who serve the interests of the business’s that bank roll them and buy elections for them, while we watch what little we have go from us to the top wage earners.
We as a people have spent a great deal of time figuring out how we can screw ourselves over and over again. And the political establishment has been more than willing to help us screw ourselves.
We look on government like it has no roll and in the next breath blame government when something goes wrong. If the water is unsafe, if the air is unsafe, if the work place is unsafe, if the drugs we take the food we eat are unsafe then that’s the government’s fault.
We some of us that is do 2 things we ignore history, and we buy into the idea that the government isn’t the solution but the problem. That is until it all goes wrong.
History tells us that when industries are left unregulated they pollute the air the water and create unsafe working conditions. Yeah let’s all sign up for that. The reality is that industries do NOT self-regulate, they cheat, lie, and steal, history tells us load and clear this is so. So no let’s do in anyone and anything that reins that in. Is that truly what’s best for us, simple question?
When you vote for or endorse a candidate that says I want to do away with regulations, are you protecting yourself, your family, the country you swear to love and who’s future you leave in the hands of unregulated industries.
Banking and Wall Street was deregulated under Clinton, how did that work out? Back at the turn of the century working conditions were so bad as many as one worker per day was dying in the steel industry. They polluted the water to the point in some places there wasn’t one living thing left in the lakes and rivers. Yeah lets deregulate, because that helps us and guarantees our countries future?
You’ve done it, yeah you screwed yourself. The damage done via unregulated industries is good for business but maybe not so good for us, and our children and grandchildren. But hey let’s do it because rather than let someone screw us over lets screw ourselves. Great idea. Stop buying the smooth talking used car salesmen’s line of BS and think where their idea will take you.
They don’t regulate industry in China and they have to walk around wearing surgical masks, let’s have more of that and less clean air. The hell with the future.
The lesson is, listen think, don’t buy in because it sounds good question it ask yourself what is the actual effect on myself and the future of our country if the idea being presented is put in place. People buy into things that screw themselves and I think folks are fed up with being told something by a smooth talking politician only to find out later they screwed themselves by voting for that person.

What a complete load of crap. She needs to be medicated because I'm pretty sure she is mentally ill. i can't stand the way her mouth moves. everytime i see her it's painful to watch. and then the crap she says make it so much worse. the hardcore righty's ofcourse hate what Mitt had to say. but Mitt Romney was 100 percent spot on about Trump. i get that the GOP doesn't want a split party...but the reality of the situation is that the status quo is better than what Trump is gonna do to this country, and the entire planet. however, if that's what the conservative voters want, a racist, sexist, xenophobic piece of crap that has no actual detailed plan on how to fix the country, who talks about the size of his dick and insults candidates left and right. then let them. Trump wasn't gonna win anyway, united party or not. as i said before, it says a lot more about the people that support him than Trump himself.

But it's OK if he is a liar cause God told him it's OK. But yeah he really scares me I think he would do more damage to this country then anyone we will ever see, including Trump.

The only way real Americans can have a fresh barn is to first shovel out the old crap.

Kind of my thinking...if Trump is so easy to beat..why is the media going after him so hard...and I'm not putting much stock in polls this far out from the election showing anyone winning. I'm a statistics and numbers junky and enjoy looking and playing with the numbers...but I dont believe for 1 second Kasich or Rubio would beat Hillary or vice versa with polls being out a year or 10 to 8 months out. We shall see and if I'm wrong I'll be the first to say so on here...but when I see all the attacks on someone who is so easy to beat..well it gives me pause. And if the Rep. party pulls some kind of brokered convention I'll never vote republican again.

And how, pray tell, is Trump bringing over thousands and thousands of Democrats to his side?
Could it be the rest of the world and these Boards have little in common at times?
Me thinks so.

the media is going hard at him because he reminds the people of one of the most disgusting piece of crap human beings to ever walk this planet: Hitler.
the only people scared of trump being president is the GOP. the actual people of america are smarter than that. he won't sniff the WH.
I'm not scared of Trump winning the WH because it won't happen anyway.
Kasich actually would a HUGE shot at beating Hilary. His record vs hers says it all. that would be an actual battle, and a good one at that.
but ofcourse, the GOP - never mind- conservative voters don't want somebody who actually bring people together, works to get bipartisan support and actually sounds like a decent human being.
nah, the conservative block wants Hitler.
Fear and anger. as i continue to say, says more about conservative supporters of trump than it does about Trump.

Me thinks so. and republicans are flocking to the left if Trump is the nominee. so it's a wash. it's pointless.
