Oh, well that makes sense. Who's his source? Geoff? I'm not trying to be too much of a homer, but there is no universe in which a team who actually wants a particular player pulls an offer just because, they'd say this is our final offer, take it or leave it. Pulling an offer is only useful as a negotiating ploy when you have serious leverage which no front office has with an unrestricted free agent on the first day.

Benji might have been fool's gold, but he might have been gold too. He was a still developing WR. He signed for less than Sanu and Jones? Dang.

The "foundation" also consists of 3 of the best players at their position in the entire NFL. While our foundation is certainly not good, the FA is renovating a house by beginning to tear out the support beams.

we just keep bleeding quality players that we draft and signing crappy ones to replace some of the best players in the NFL at their positions
Past 2 years we have lost:
TJ Ward Alex Mack Mitchel Schwartz Jordan Cameron Rubin Jabal Sheard Buster Skrine Travis Benjamin
we are poised to lose Gipson based on him saying he is prepared to move on and possibly Robertson/Bademosi
you can't build a team through the draft if you don't resign your quality players
Hunter + Dart = This is the way.

Obviously I would prefer to keep our good players.

I don't find what is happening to our team funny at all. Neither do I but different people cope with change in different ways...

Good News - Bad News
Bad News - Browns lost three starters from last year. Will likely loose Gipson as well.
Good News - Manziel and Bowe still on the roster.

you can't build a team through the draft if you don't resign your quality players The players you listed have gotten us to a 5-11, 4-12, 7-9 and 3-13 record over the last four seasons. It's frustrating losing good players, but from a front office point of view, I can see justification in not over paying for players that aren't helping the team actually win games. I'm trying to keep a glass half full approach, because I have faith in our coaching staff.... I just hope the front office actually DOES have an actual plan in place moving forward.
