Our job is acquiring talent, not getting rid of talent. Apparently Kelly learned at least one thing from Philly..
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Right now it's Denver's 2nd vs our 3rd.
I'd make the offer to the Broncos that we would bow out if the Broncos gave us a 6th.

Sounds like at least the FO is aware they will need a QB who has the ability to run for his life after yesterday.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Story in todays PD, "Browns Trying To Trade For Colin Kaepernick" 2nd round pick seems to be the asking price That might just be enough for me, if they do it. If we give up the 32nd pick in the draft for Kaepernick ..... oh man ..... that might just push me all the way out the door. I seem to recover from every completely idiotic decision and action this team makes, but there has to be a chance I wise up some year. Maybe this is finally that year.

Don't want to pay our own bring in guys like Bowe and tradp for a pieceof crap like Kap a guy who the 49ers want rid of because guess what they cant trust him, late, partying domestic violence. Been there done that and we are gonna pay him 15 mil a year lol

I can honestly say... if our second pick is burned on trading for Kap, I'm taking a season off from Cleveland Browns football. That includes not even paying attention to them, in any fashion, which means I'll just visit here to post in the Cavs thread and the Everything Else section.
It would be beyond absurd, our 2nd pick for Kap.

Well now that Osweiler went to the Texans, maybe Hoyer or Weeden can be had for cheap! Yep, I went there!

If you were Kaepernick, and it's between the Browns and the Broncos? It's gotta be the Broncos.

LB... I hear that every year from more than one poster. We are freaking Browns fans...once the season starts we are there on the edge of our seats rooting for them!
I will be shocked to see it other wise.
Don't let these TV geniuses get you down...One thing we must do is freaking do well with the draft! That is way more important then this Dead zone game for the pretend owners who have to look important for their TV fame.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

No, if that happens, I'm really, seriously, going to take the year off from the Browns. This previous season I found me drifting further away from being as engaged as I was. I stopped watching full games, stopped listening to all the pressers and etc. The potential trade for Colin would be it. Go Browns, but if they did, "we'll need some time apart" lol.

Really are you really telling me that crap?
We have won no more than 5 games since 2007... 8 seasons and not this season to you we are going to be really bad!...lol you guys are funny. Got news for you We have been really bad since freaking 1999...but its this season that is going to be really bad. Cause we got Sashi and Paul and Hue running this thing. Yeah all from what 24 hours of freaking FA...which has done nothing for us the 6th most active FA team for the last 10 years with the worst winning pct. and that includes our 10-6 2007 season!
Now all of a sudden we are going to be really bad...lol
I happen to like these guys and the way it is set up. I think more important instead of all this boo hoo talk after 24 hours we as Browns fans should be declaring this has to be the organization we ride this through. 3 years start judging and 5 years if no change look anew!
I liked Pettine, I liked Mangini those two were my favorite HC both didn't hire well I think. I think Hue is maybe the best we got so far. But all you geniuses already know how this is going to work out. Cause why?
So you can spear head another session of LETS START ANEW and let everyone know how smart you are?
I don't wish to be smart if that is what it takes. I rather root for these guys through hell or high water!
jmho especially after 24 freaking hours of their era...Un freaking believable. Man don't jump in my fox hole you guys will be the first to run when the enemy comes

We should all probably take the year off no matter what. The team is going to be really, really bad. I'm likely canceling DirecTV this week. They are grossly overpriced, but I've been a customer with them for over a decade because of Sunday Ticket. It's no longer worth it to me anymore.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I haven't been involved in your argument but.. We have won no more than 5 games since 2007... 8 seasons and not this season to you we are going to be really bad!...lol laugh you guys are funny. Now all of a sudden we are going to be really bad...lol I think most of us had a notion, coming out of last year, of 2 or 3 places where we needed to improve in order to be better next year... NOT GREAT, but better.. in the first day of FA, we lost 4 pretty decent players and signed nobody... people feel like we went backwards. If the plan was to take a step backwards to put us in a position to move forward, I can live with that.. but that's not the feeling I got. I think Hue is maybe the best we got so far. But all you geniuses already know how this is going to work out. Cause why?
So you can spear head another session of LETS START ANEW and let everyone know how smart you are? I don't think anybody knows how this will work out in the long run... and I'm not interested in starting over, not even close. I don't wish to be smart if that is what it takes. I rather root for these guys through hell or high water! Me too but damn yesterday was depressing. Watching some of our good players bolt, watching other teams make a splash and sign some quality guys... while the only information coming about the Browns was: 1. Another player leaves the Browns 2. They haven't cut Manziel yet 3. Rumors are agents and other teams are frustrated with the Browns

I think you should save your rah rah post on your PC. Then in a couple of years all you'll have to do is edit the names in it rather than type the whole thing out yet again.

TABBER ...
why u letting that dude get under your skin ... why even reply to him ... I haven't been around for years now and remember just ignoring everything he posted cause it was a waste of time ...
his one liners are actually a good thing ... there a quick read witch is what u want with 'waste of time" reads ....
OK ... on subject here ....
Kap??? .. Please ... give me a break ... this dude couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and he has the football mind of a doorknob ...
He has one redeeming quality .. hes a hell of an athelete ... but he stinks as a QB ,,
Other than the waste of time dude ... I hope all is well and you got your blood pressure back down my friend ..
Hi Vers .... how u doing bud??? ..
Kap took over 1/2 way through the year and then did lead them to the SB .. then the next year UNDER Harbs he STUNK!!!!! he just don't have it bro ...
I watched a lot of Niners games ... he had a GREAT 1/2 a season and a GREAT playoff run ... and in the 2 years since has STUNK UP THE JOINT ... and one of those years was under Harbs ...
If we go after him and its Jackson's idea ... then Jackson is making a MAJOR MISTAKE and will be a BIG OLE RED CHECK MARK in the CON column near Hue ..
PS. ... as far as I can tell hue is the only one in Berea with a whiff of actual football sense .. so we REALLY NEED HIM TO MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS AND BE REALLY GOOD AT TALENT EVALUATION or were ... well in the same position we been in since 99 ...
I hope all is well Vers ... just wondering ... did u finish the "how to make friends and influence people" book I recommended to u .... *L* ...
Hey ... u in ... OK ... guess I shouldn't divulge your last known location ... *L* ... if your still where u were ... I'm heading that way before the next school year starts ... PM me .... want to find out exactly where u are ...

Right now it's Denver's 2nd vs our 3rd.
I'd make the offer to the Broncos that we would bow out if the Broncos gave us a 6th.
That's a difference of 2 picks. Denver's second round pick is #63, our third round pick is #65. Regardless, IMHO this is way too much to give up when we have to account for his salary as well.

I'm good, bro. How about you? I miss our conversations and I often wonder what you think about the mess that is the Browns.
--I am in Columbia, SC. No secret. Let me know if that is where you are going or is it the Outer Banks?
--As you can tell, I am not a Kap fan. He's one of the guys who fell off dramatically once the book was out on him.
--I tried writing the book, bro.........but, I could not find a friend to cite, for some odd reason.
--Bro, I think Haslam is a snake. There will always be a "new plan," but if you ask me, all of his new plans look painfully similar to the previous plans.
Stick around, bro. Be prepared to be amazed, though. LOL

especially after 24 freaking hours of their era...Un freaking believable. Man don't jump in my fox hole you guys will be the first to run when the enemy comes In 24 hours the front office has ostracized the NFL player agent community! It is truly unbelievable leading to unbelievable reactions by fans. Analytics are great. Used by many teams for years... Used by Jimmy Haslam as a "promotional device" and put front-and-center. The analytics-based front office compounds this dogma with not AT LEAST preserving relationships with future negotiation opposition.

I guess it just depends on Hue. If he like him, he likes him. If it is a way to get some value for Manziel and why we haven't already cut him, assuming Chip likes him, maybe we can work something out. Word is Chip liked him earlier.
Who knows, flip flop first round picks, swap Kap and Manziel, we get something else, start with a 2nd.....I like it well enough.
Hope you are doing well Diam.

Just clicking....
This is an utter disaster if we sign Kap. Not just because he isn't very good, or because he has a big deal, but because it would just put a huge exclamation mark on the idiocy of the past two days.
When yesterday happened I am thinking OK this sucks because we have basically undertaken a complete rebuild. That sucks, but at least I think maybe they think in 4 years when we are competing for the playoffs these guys weren't part of the equation at that point. Again, I am pissed we are going complete reboot, but if we are I see the thought process.
Signing (let alone trading) for Kap flies in the face of the above or any logic. If you are bringing in a big $$$ qb you don't let your FA's go uncontested.....your going for it. You don't sign Kap as a bridge QB because of the $$ involved and you already have that in McCown.
Even if they hate all the QBs in this draft you just roll with McCown and get one next year (they have to know a complete rebuild all but guarantees a top 3 pick).
I'm now thinking these guys are just clueless....but what I really think is it isn't the FO but Jimmah trying to sell tickets with this move......good grief this team is tough to root for.

My guess is that we were willing to trade for Kaepernick if the 49ers were going to give him away. They are not. We are not.

It is a bad move if we get him for nothing. Kap isn't a long term solution at qb, has a bad contract, and won't be here when this team is ready to compete. Literally the only way this kind of move makes any sense is if you are trying to win now....and we are not. I would argue McCown is a better player right now than Kap. McCown is also much cheaper and open to mentoring whatever qb they bring in this year or the next.
Unless they think Kap can be the guy for the next 5-10 years then it's dumb......and if they think that we are screwed anyway..lol
