A lot of the thought comes down to altruism. No one is personally attacking Columbus.
What many on the left think is that all Americans can do more for their country by giving back to society in some way, shape, or fashion. It goes back to JFK's "What you can do for your country" message in his inaugural address.
And that is what frustrates me - BTTB keeps saying I don't do anything to help others even though he has no idea who I am. Altruism doesn't have, nor should, come from the government confiscating my income. I help others all of the time, to the point where I have been taken advantage of on several occasions. Does it stop me from continuing to do so? Nope, as I believe most people are good and try to do the right thing.
I've said before, I'm more than willing to take a modest increase in taxes along with cuts to government spending - Bernie's plan is not that. He wants to increase government spending and tax the crap out of people.
Quote:
A lot see how Europe, sure there's struggles, manages to do things at a better rate than we do. I know the counter-argument then becomes "go move to Europe", but why can't we try it here?
Europe is a much smaller scale which doesn't get brought up a lot. I've also stated before my friend left Norway due to socialism - if you make a decent amount of money it just isn't worth it to stay. The opportunities he has found in the states are way better than those he had in Norway.
Quote:
Columbus, it's great you've got to where you are. Just not many in this country end up getting born into the situation you were in, or had the support to get themselves to where they are.
This is not a problem that Bernie's plan even addresses though. You touched on the real issue, and you being a teacher I'm sure you see it every day - support and direction from home/community. I don't care if you pay everyone 15/hour, nothing will change until there is good support at home, which is lacking for many children. I'm not sure how to solve it, but giving everyone a raise and free college isn't going to do it. That is of course my opinion.

Many people get marginalized in this country, and it's by no fault of their own.
I'm sure some of it isn't their fault, however there needs to be some personal responsibility as well. Blaming everyone else for your problems is not right either. Somewhere, a healthy balance is needed.
What I find ironic is Columbus has no qualms admitting he's motivated by money. By the money HE earns - makes.
The irony in that is that you, BTTB, are also motivated by money (as is sanders), but, you appear to be motivated by Columbus' money. He makes it, you want it.
Perhaps you don't see that, but if you don't, maybe an eye appointment is necessary?
If not for workers, just ordinary working families their are no well off, or wealth. Remember that when you hog the whole pie for yourself.
BTTB
AKA Upbeat Dawg
Can't believe I am in a group that is comprised of the best NOT just fans but people on the planet.
So moveon and black lives matter and bernie supporters cause a problem at a Trump speech and it is Trump's fault?
GMAFB, this is the alinsky tactic in full force.
I find it funny how liberals blame Trump for the same thing Bernie does at every rally. He is all about hate and class-ism. He is a communist and clueless.
Liberals and the media say Trump has no clue, yet the jackwagon is promising things that are impossible and the lemmings in colleges all around the country are looking for free everything on the backs of the working man.
Trump supporters are not causing the violence, it is the low life college agitators forcing their will on others. This is classic and what we should expect from the socialist professors in university. Plus Soros money paying people to disrupt.
Once again democrats cause problems and blame it on the republicans.
I wasn't for Trump, but now I am.
If the silent majority who is backing Trump decide to fight back, things are going to get ungly.
However, I'm not certain people get marginalized by the country. I think many marginalize themselves.
What is the proper level of "altruism"?
Why does everyone need to be "equal" in financial terms?
There will always be rich. There will always be poor. No amount of taxation will change that. Ever.
Plus, no matter what you have, you will want "more". Saw something on facebook this week. A guy, sitting in his SUV, looking at a guy sitting in his sports car thinking "I wish I had that", while another guy was sitting in his sedan, looking at the SUV saying I wish I had that, while another guy was sitting in his junker car looking at the sedan saying "I wish I had that", while another guy on a bike was looking at the junker car saying "I wish I had that", while another guy was walking, looking at the guy on the bike saying "I wish I had a bike."
What level of altruism - and or tax - is "right"? Why don't we limit the incomes of everyone? Who says anyone is entitled to retire? You're a teacher. You put your 30 in and get a pension. (at least around here you do). I don't get a pension. Perhaps I should be entitled to some of yours?
Not attacking you, at all.
Just saying - everyone has a chance, and I guarantee, not everyone will be "rich", but the opportunity exists for success. Success doesn't mean money. Give someone something for free, that's how they value it. Plus, tomorrow they want more - for free.
Perfect example. Drive past our local food pantry on the days they are open. Wow, hours before they open, there's a line of people outside. Okay, people gotta eat - that's why we have a food pantry. (and yes, I donate to it, as do so many in this community, and the churches do as well. Look, that's how the place gets its food.)
Drive a mile down the road, and there's a company that at one time (maybe still - but I think Ikea is bigger now) that used to the the country's largest manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) furniture. And they're hiring.
What they are looking for is people that show up to work, and are reliable. They can't find them. Consequently, they hire what my wife calls "day laborer's", but they aren't day laborer's in the traditional sense. They are temp employees, starting out at $12 an hour. They also pay a premium if you drive over a certain distance to get to work. $50 a week in fuel if you come from Toledo. (45-50 mile drive)
They are "temp" employees in the sense that they need to work for 90 days before they get any benefits.
Most of the people make it a week. My wife works there. She's worked with them. Even told me about a girl, from Toledo, that worked there and also her mom, and a brother. That's 3 of them. That alone was an extra $150 per week just for gas, even though they car pooled.
The mom and brother made it a week. Decided "working" for $12 an hour wasn't worth it. The girl loved it. My wife even said "why don't you just move here?" Her reply? I can't leave my neighborhood in Toledo."
She worked just under a month.
No, these particular jobs won't make you rich. I know that - my wife works there. But, again, what is "rich"?
What I find ironic is Columbus has no qualms admitting he's motivated by money. By the money HE earns - makes.
The irony in that is that you, BTTB, are also motivated by money (as is sanders), but, you appear to be motivated by Columbus' money. He makes it, you want it.
Perhaps you don't see that, but if you don't, maybe an eye appointment is necessary?
If not for workers, just ordinary working families their are no well off, or wealth. Remember that when you hog the whole pie for yourself.
You're coming across as about as dumb as a box.
FIRST of all, I'm a worker. A one man show bud. I do the work, I do the maintenance, I do the books, I do the phone - I handle everything. And I'm not rich.
Hogging the whole pie? Here's something for you: You said you live comfortably. Why don't you sacrifice a bit????
Answer that, Mr. Ex business owner. You must be rich - you owned a business, you're comfortable.
Oh.......wait, I get it. In this very thread you made mention of health issues that you, and many people have. I have a feeling you may have some health issues that you want others to pay for.
Here's my "hogging the whole pie". My business has, at the most/best year - grossed $90,000. That's GROSS income. You understand what that is, right?
THIS year, I didn't make nearly that - but LEGITIMATE business expense were over $25000. Do the math, then subtract some more. That's what I made.
Columbus pays more in taxes than I GROSS in a year. Yet, I'm "hogging the whole pie"?
Do I envy Columbus? Maybe. Do I want a dime from him? Never.
Dude, you don't know even half of what you think you know.
FIRST of all, I'm a worker. A one man show bud. I do the work, I do the maintenance, I do the books, I do the phone - I handle everything.
Same here arch - I consider myself a worker as well. I work for clients, without them I have nothing. I'd love to get big enough to employ people, but at this point if I have extra work I just sub-contract to someone and 1099 them.
I've got another business that is a partnership but isn't nearly as successful as my one man show currently is. I hope to grow it, but just don't have the time at this point due to obligations at my primary business.
Socialism "works" in Nordic countries because their countries are culturally and ethnically homogeneous.
We're not even talking race here.. Ethnicity and Culture. People with centuries long historical roots in the region, sharing the same culture and blood. I wonder why it is they don't have as much of a problem redistributing their goods among each other.
Unless you are explicitly nationalist, socialism and welfare redistribution is nationally selfish and could be going to starving kids in africa, the middle east or chinese slave labor etc. So it seems quite difficult to me to figure out how immigrants into countries are any different from someone living in another country. They basically made the trek and committed a crime if they entered illegally. Unless they are ethnically from the region they are not different from sending the money into another country directly. Sweden giving money to Norway or Denmark is closer on the ethnic and cultural scales than say Syria or Somalia.
From a logical standpoint you need to embrace nationalism or basically the redistribution of wealth should extend to everyone worldwide. If your nation has no limitations on immigration this is essentially the same process except people who make the journey also partake in the established structure of your culture/ethnicity. Being socialistic but not having limitations on immigrants is essentially an inefficient version of international communism.
America to my knowledge is the least homogeneous nation on earth. Originally founded as a mixture of Anglo-Saxon protestants from the UK and Germany there were quite a few ethnic and religious/cultural similarities. Slavery of Africans introduced another ethnicity and to some extent culture once they were no-longer slaves. To some extent this would be true of the white indentured servants brought in (Hi great x6 Grandpa!), but to my knowledge early on those were Protestant Ulster-Scots (Northern Irish) who are basically the same as the Anglo-Saxon majority.
America seems to be the lone country which slots people into Race rather than ethnicity...for some obvious reasons when your break it down. In reality the demographics are much more complicated. The best I've found from the 2000 are less than perfect but: 15% German, 11% Irish, 9% African American, 9% English, 7% American (Whatever that is), 6.5% Mexican, 5.6% Irish, 3.2% Polish, 3.0% French, 2.8% American Indian, and then basically a bunch of differing European, Asian, and Hispanic countries all under 2%. I'd need to do work to break these down 16 years after that census but we can assume the Hispanic and Asian populations have increased, ethnically Mexican, Indian, Chinese, and Filipino if I know the big four correctly.
Redistribution of wealth in America is a much larger stretch on empathy because we are a raaaaare country in terms of demographics. Every other country is pretty dang identical in terms of ethnicity. And the idea of giving your hard earned money to other people makes a lot more sense when they are related to you and you can trust they have the same culture and interests of you. We are seeing an increase in right-wing nationalism all over Europe in large part because left-wing socialistic tendencies are primarily emotionally compelling when you are the same ethnicity and culture.
People prefer to redistribute their wealth to people whom have similar ethnic or culture values as them. This is a major compelling force behind people preferring charity over government redistribution.
I always enjoy reading your takes on things King. Some very interesting things to think about from a perspective that never once entered my mind. Not surprising though since I am stupid according to some.
Here's BTTB's problem. Years ago we had one of these go 'rounds and he told me he had a heart attack and couldn't keep his business due to health coverage costs.
Way it looks to me he is just another bitter lib.
No I don't feel bad about sharing this because it wasn't in a PM. Perhaps if he wasn't such an elitist snob I would find it in my heart to hold back but I'm rather sick of him.
Sick of his condescension, sick of his whining about Reaganomics, you name it I'm sick of it.
Tell me Upbeat, given the choice between the two, do you go back and relive the 70's or 80's?
Name one thing to go back to the 70's for other than to see Star Wars in theaters the first time around?
No one in their right mind goes back to relive the Carter years but yeah Reaganomics sucked. Trickle down economics wasn't meant to be charity, it was meant to create an environment for opportunity. Looks to me like it did.
Anybody that's bitter that it didn't 'make it down to them' wasn't trying hard enough. Minorities and poor people have gotten free rides and special scholarships for as long as I've been alive and no I don't begrudge them anything for it.
Tell me somethin' else there Up, if prices are going to go up because Bernie automatically doubles everyone's minimum wage, doesn't that put us right back where we started? Why yes it does! So what's the point? If you're relying on a minimum wage job to support a family you shouldn't be having children. Minimum wage is for high school kids and college freshman while you're making something of yourself.
Even Garry Kasparov disagrees with Bernie. Aside from breaking up the banks, he agrees with that. But as we all know (those of us who are honest) the banks were forced into what they did by the left (incidentally, another thing Up won't admit to).
A former communist! Imagine that!
Did the war on poverty end poverty? Why no it didn't! I grew up on welfare, moved in with my dad when I was 15, joined the service when I was 19 and still had to force myself to be ambitious when I got out. (In case ya can't tell, I taught myself well)
How about all those jobs that are going overseas? WASN'T IT BILL CLINTON THAT SIGNED NAFTA? Yep, it was.
Tell me one last thing Up, if we're going to double the minimum wage, what do we do with mine? A self employed tradesman? Do I get to double my prices? Only seems fair right?
I'm done now, I've had it with people like you and (although to a much lesser degree) OCD talking down to people like you do. Your solutions have never worked, the world over and they won't work here.
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...
I think that's the tough part, and King summed it up quite well. It goes a little heavy handed saying X amount of your income comes to us, and then gets doled out to help others. I've never been a fan of such sweeping generalizations in my own classroom, and there has to be a better way to frame the discussion.
I get Europe is smaller, too. I just don't understand why we can't try over here.
I guess I view tax as "Hey, we can help provide, but you need to chip in a bit", and I'm okay with this. I give up a ton to teach and live where I do (not talking just economically...but I live a life unlike 99% of Americans), but that's how I've always been.
Not many 26 year old single dudes are willing to teach in a place of less than 1000 people, no outside roads to anywhere, and learn to embrace a sense of community while living in complete isolation. Not saying I'm better or worse than anyone, but I'd imagine my own personality plays a ton into why I don't see these tax increases as too much of a bad thing.
Quote:

Part of it is that, but you have to look at the cause of the jaded attitude towards education. I'm in a place where within the last 150 years the culture got exposed to outsiders, cultural traditions exterminated due to "oh those savage beliefs!", and a massive cultural trauma at the hand of "well meaning" missionaries and US government officials. Some of that still permeates from the state and federal government, too.
I'm more proactive. I look at what causes these attitudes, rather than blame others for acting the way they do. At heart everyone is good, and I seek to understand why some end up with negative views.
TRUMP TheRUMP, Now this clown and his goons can belittle anybody but MAN OH MAN, the crying sure starts when the bullies are put in their place. You think last night was bad in Chicago? Wait until y'all elect this clown. He will bring this country down.
He has the sack to call Bernie a commie! This guy is a fascist from the word go and a COWARD! The minute somebody strikes back he cries like a little girl.... Oh the thugs and the commie won't let me hate talk... BOO HOO BULLY.
Question though: Did you CHOOSE to be in Alaska? Or were your forced to go there?
And as to your next post about the guy that got suspended for talking about someone's health issue. Who was it? I guess I don't follow along real well.
you know how posters say "the liberal media" and "mainstream media" likes to lie and such? I sort of agree with that.
Thats why i decided to go to the Trump rally today. i wanted to see for myself, with my own eyes, what happens at these rallies.
I'm going to start by saying this:
Trump hasn't tapped into the anger and frustration of people around the country like many of you like to try and convince me on this board. Nah...it's deeper than that. Trump has tapped into the hatred that is underground in this country.
not anger; hatred.
Hatred for anybody that doesn't agree with them Hatred for anybody that doesn't look like them. Hatred for anybody that doesn't act like them.
people actually booed when instructions the announcement was given not to physically assault anybody. that is absolutely pathetic. it's absolutely disgusting.
that didn't stop the verbal assaults though.
people on this board like to say that i bring race into everything. So, i ask you:
is it wrong for me to bring race up when the N word is flying out of people's mouths left and right?
as a matter of fact, i'm so disappointed, i only feel like addressing two people on this board right now.
40: i known you for 10 years now. when i joined the old board in 2006 after finishing basic/ait, you was the first one to welcome me. i know we talk a lot of crap, but i want to say this.
I'm glad you voted for Cruz. that says a lot about you.
Columbus:
you are about the only person on this board i haven't been at war against, as far as political leanings go. So i have to ask you:
this has come down to who's rights are more important. We agree on bernie's tax plan. however, after seeing the people who support trump, and make no mistake, he's 99% likely to be the republican candidate...
is the safety of myself and my family, with these racist and bigots, allowed to happen as long as you don't have to pay financially?
should i have to deal with being called a nigger so long as you don't have to endure higher taxes?
I'm not calling you a trump supporter. i don't know who you like, to be honest. What i'm saying is that if it boils down to picking between Trump and Bernie, this is the situation that we have to deal with.
I'm asking you specifically this question, as the reality is that we do live in two different worlds. you're wealthy, bro. and man i'm happy for you, especially because i get to converse with somebody who actually has rode around in super cars, or can afford them. that's cool to me bro.
but that's why i'm asking you. because in this society, the higher class you are, the less you have to deal with intolerance. I'm middle class, if that class even exist anymore. the racism, the bigotry, the hiding behind political correctness? i have to deal with that, especially being minority of two of the most hated ethnic groups in the world: black and middle eastern.
Do you see now why i support hilary clinton? i rather have to deal with the same ole, same ole in politics, then potentially deal with the idea of either sanders or trump in the WH.
two extremes are clashing in this country. i don't want to have to choose between expanding the government since they screwed us over, or trusting the private sector, because they also screwed us over.
Columbus, bro. i don't want high taxes either. but you know what else i don't want? i don't want to deal with being told to go back to africa. or iraq, since a good portion of trump supporters think we're all the same, apparently.
so i guess it boils down to who's lifestyle is more important, because if these two are the nominee's, it's gonna get really ugly in this country.
So i ask you and 40, what am i suppose to do? because if it comes down to these two, the hatred in this country will destroy us. i'm only 13-14 percent of the population, so no matter who it is, the reality is that it's not gonna be safe for me.
what's the answer?

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
This is what "Free Speech" like the hate speech Trump spews brings to the streets! This is what we are headed for and it's not Bernie's fault, he hasn't called for any violence.
WARNING ### This clip does contain at least one foul word not bleeped out, but it is worth the watch. If you just can't live with that language, please don't watch.

I'm not gonna watch this (cause I don't need to). I don't understand why on earth these people (KKK) think they're so much better than other people.

Stumbled across these youtube videos and thought they were pretty funny. I posted the links. Sorry that I can't figure out how to post the actual video.
The top one is "people with disabilities make fun of Donald Trump." The 2nd link is "Who tweeted it? Donald trump or Kim Kardashian?"

I still find it hard to believe that people in this day and age have such hatred due to the race of a person. It is really disappointing and I cannot even imagine how that would make a person feel as I have never been in that situation. The anger from both sides is going to hit a boiling point - both are extreme.
I want to touch on this:
Quote:
Hatred for anybody that doesn't agree with them Hatred for anybody that doesn't look like them. Hatred for anybody that doesn't act like them.
The first and third points are true of both the left and the right. The middle I can't really say - it certainly seems, and by your own account, that Trump is saying things that add fuel to the fire. Again, I am truly disappointed to hear about your experience today - it really does sadden me about the state of this country.
Quote:
should i have to deal with being called a nigger so long as you don't have to endure higher taxes?

No one should have to put up with feeling unsafe and having racial slurs yelled at them. In all honesty, I'm not sure who I support just yet. I don't like any of them - at all. The reality for me at this point is I hope Hillary gets the nod on the D side and then I don't have to really care what happens. God I can't believe I just said that.

I don't consider myself that wealthy, though I know I am blessed that I can do a lot of things others can't. I live in a modest house in a very mixed race area - I'd say 1/3 of the subdivision I live in is black households. You are right though - I don't see the hatred or the bigotry. I can't and probably never will experience it. I don't understand it either, it makes little sense to me to hate someone because of the color of their skin.

I'm with ya on that - see my comment above.

Agreed.

I totally agree with you, Trump vs. Sanders will be very ugly. People are liable to be killed at some of these rallies - the hatred from both sides is disturbing to me. I think it will get that bad. I just hope Hillary gets the nod (I just puked in my mouth a little).
At this point my best case is Bernie isn't nominated and I won't need to bother with voting - that is what I am pulling for. This is the first time I've ever said that or felt that way, but it is truly how I feel. None of the front running conservatives are ones that I really like. I kind of liked Kashich, but he has no chance and never was able to get a word in during the circus, I mean debates.
America had better get used to more of the same in the near future . This flim flam confidence man has been playing on people's fear and anger and it will only escalate .
And Sanders hasn't?!? He doesn't just use fear, but hate of success as well. Almost all politicians today use fear as a tactic.
A protester comes to Bernie's event and he lets them speak and then addresses them. Trump tells security to get them the hell out of here and if they so happen to get hurt on the way out, don't worry I will pay the legal fees. Also, Bernie isn't talking about the hate of success. He is talking that the success is only for a select few because the whole system is rigged and nobody in congress is going to do anything about it because of the money in politics.
And I totally think that there are going to be many more nights like last night leading up to Cleveland and beyond.
Also, is Trump going to tone it down today when he addresses the protests and act presidential or is he going to call out BLM, Muslims, Mexicans-Cause the protests have been going on for a while and will get worse if he keeps egging people to punch protesters, etc. Trump sure sounded last night like none of this was his doing. Keep adding gas
Sorry disagree here. Trump hears those who are NOT threatening, running on stage to attack him, tearing up signs that belong to others, behaving physically aggressively toward others, stating that "we want to shut Trump all the way down.", using fingers to portray feelings and screaming profanities.
What rational or productive thing could anyone behaving in this manner possibly have to say?
You don't like him, don't go to the rally, don't vote for him. But no one has the right to interfere with or prevent the freedom of speech of another - it doesn't matter if they like it or not. This bully tactic by many groups as of late is immature and will not effect long term change - ever!
you did, i just wanted to see what you was thinking about this whole situation.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Trump has already been caught encouraging this nonsense, 40.
but if that's the type of candidate and supporters you like, whatever.
#MakeAmericaHateAgain
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
It is pretty low. But, I guess it's not pretty low when you threaten to do it to me?
tell everybody on the board about that one time i punched you when we met up.
here's a hint: it never happened.
because as much as i dislike you, i got better things to do with my time.

Trump is trying to do that as well. shutting down the media, remember?

Sorry to hear about your bad day Swish, but deep inside you had to know before your went, the sign are all there and we've been watching it grow for months.
i was hoping humanity would prove my assumptions wrong.
but, this is the type of stuff the conservative base wants. if it wasn't true, than trump wouldn't be the front runner, ya know?
when cruz said the world is laughing at us, it's not because of obama, it's because of what they are witnessing in the republican primaries.
When you got german people saying Trump reminds them of hitler, that says a lot, as who would know better than them?
but if that's what conservatives want, then the RNC should respect that.
cause when he gets destroyed in the general election, the conservative voters can't point the finger at anybody but themselves.

I don't mind trying even some aspects of it. I've stated that Bernie has some good ideas, ones I can agree with. If we can find a way to implement it without ridiculous tax rates I'd be perfectly fine with trying it. I think we can do it to by slashing government spending across the board. Especially the military.

I guess I view tax as "Hey, we can help provide, but you need to chip in a bit", and I'm okay with this. I give up a ton to teach and live where I do (not talking just economically...but I live a life unlike 99% of Americans), but that's how I've always been.
I pay a ton in taxes already, to the point it makes me sick to my stomach because I know how misused that money is going to be.
I have the utmost respect for teachers - it is a very noble profession that deserves higher pay. The garbage teachers take is uncalled for. Why people even go into it is beyond me - and my mom was a teacher for 28 years. Get a masters degree for a profession that will top out at around 75k after years of service and be treated like you aren't doing enough? No thanks. You, and all teachers, deserve much more respect than they typically get.

What you are doing amazes me - I could not do it. What you are learning has to be as amazing as the experience you are getting teaching.
As I've said till I'm blue in the face I'm OK with modest tax increases as long as they are paired with cuts to government spending as it is completely out of hand.

You touched on the real issue, and you being a teacher I'm sure you see it every day - support and direction from home/community
Your experiences in Alaska have given you a very unique perspective. Most of us, me included, have never been around an isolated group of people like that. I think that is the real issue with the divide in this country right now - people don't take the time, and I am guilty of this occasionally, to look at the reasons behind negative views and other peoples views in general.
Bro, think about it, the republicans already tried to created an out for themselves.
the party of "personal responsibility" has already placed the blame on obama.
trump's rising is obama's fault.
if trump wins the nomination, it's because of obama. if the republicans lose the general election, it's obama's fault.
the RNC already knows the result of the general election if it becomes Trump VS Clinton. that's why they are trying to destroy trump.
right now we are witnessing a political civil war in the republican party.

My biggest concern is what if he does get elected... scary.
And I am just as scared if Bernie gets elected.
Which is why I am pulling for Hillary (puke in mouth). At least if she is the nominee I won't feel it necessary to vote. If Bernie is the nominee I'll be voting for whoever is the Republican nominee, even Trump (which I do not like at all).

Well at least you care. We don't agree, but we don't have to agree to get along. That's one thing that makes you different.
when Cruz blasted trump on the whole tariff issue, and Trump had no response except "it is a threat", that was scary.
you right bro, if he's elected...ugh.
