My kids live in PA with their mom, and her friends continue to buy them Eagles gear.

Part of me gets super pissed off, like, you dont try to persuade someone else's kid to another team.. its an unwritten rule..

The other part of me considers trying to make them Browns fans as being child abuse.

Well, if you're a believer and you're digging the front office rebuild then you should realize this... every single win next year HURTS the future of this team. So next season, instead of hoping we "kick some arse" you should be hoping we get destroyed every single week. It's what's best for the future. That is the essence of a scorched earth rebuild. Tear it completely down to nothing and build it back with young players mostly from the draft. It takes years when done correctly and it takes infinite patience. A trait Jimmy has shown very little of. Still, everytime we score a TD next year boo, everytime we throw a pick 6, cheer. That is where we are at...

I'm not that negative spirit, can't do as you wish but I sure as hell will be rooting just as hard as all these other DAWGTALKERS, who many, like myself, believe we can turn it around quickly. We are not as far away as you expect people to believe. I know one thing it can and will be done in my lifetime, and I will know in my heart that I can say that I never gave up hope. The right people in place will produce the right results for all of us diehards. We will be rewarded, I believe, do you?

I can't agree with the "scorched earth" approach.

I think the main goal has to be to win. This year and always.

Many teams have gone from 3-4 wins one year to winning records the next year.

Happens all the time. Except for the 21st century Browns. So far.

Your "I believe SIR" comment sure sounds like you.

By the way, that's Pitdawg in the middle with white cap sitting on cooler and SNEBB president Bacon next to him sitting on sidewalk.

I know the Pit Boss....glad Jules got that cleared up because my old eyes also thought that was littlebrownie as well. This being a few days later.

It actually is Little Brownie. He thought it was someone called Littledawg. lol

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

So you think you can dump everyone over 30 on your team, start a complete rebuild from the ground up and draft enough players in ONE draft to compete THAT year? Aside from all of the player turnover and the scorced earth rebuild going on, most of these players will be learning a brand new offense and defense. All of those things scream winning team to you? Quick turnaround? Hardly. If they wanted a quick turnaround they would have resigned at least a couple of their own FA's and would have signed at least one pass rusher day one in FA. You don't tear down for a quick turnaround. You add to what you already HAVE if you're on a short clock. You tear down for a rebuild. At that takes TIME. So if you really do believe then you should hope they do this right and TAKE that time to do it right. Either way don't plan on seeing many wins any time soon. In a complete rebuild year that is a good thing.

There have been at least a dozen times when a team went to the playoffs the year after winning 4 games or less.

The 2008 Dolphins went 11-5. In 2007 they went 1-15.

Of course they weren't a Cleveland team.

I know that I have paid off a huuuuge amount of incredibly odious karma being a lifelong Browns fan.

That and it is genetic. I was born into it. I am DNA imprinted from birth. And I have grown up too stubborn to show reasonable judgment. Too busy being loyal and rooting for the Browns to quit them. And living in the Lesser CinciTucky Metropolitan area with its fan base to antagonize has been an ongoing source of motivation to me.

Be a Browns fan? How could one not? Misery loves company.
