Watched Gruden's QB Camp with both Goff and Wentz.
First off I love that show. Gruden is a piece of work. Love his enthusiasm and excitement for the game of football. It is very contagious.
The rap that he loves all quarterbacks is understandable. These young guys are about to begin a new career. What is suppose to do criticize them? It would be crushing to them and nobody would want to do the show.
You take the show as is and enjoy it.
The one on Goff was interesting. It brought out some things that were helpful in evaluating him. The offense they ran really left him exposed often. He was forced to deliver a lot of throws under heavy pressure. Good prep for the NFL. He still will have much to learn about playing under center and NFL offensive concepts.
Wentz will have less of a learning curve. But after a couple years who knows which guy will shine?
At this point Wentz is bigger, faster, stronger and more ready to play in the NFL.
Love the Gruden series. Want to see all the qb prospects. Hackenberg is a guy who kind of haunts me. His time in college could be very deceiving. He is the type that could take off in the pros. I see all the tools but I question his post snap mind.

I just went out and scheduled a recording for all of the camps. I think Gruden does in fact give criticism, you just have to look for it harder. He does a really good job of asking specific questions that to the common person don't sound like criticism but, it is in fact a criticism.
For example when he says something like "tell me what you saw here?" often when he means is "what the hell were you looking at?"
Excited to watch how Cook and Hackenburg handle questioning because those are two guys who really had struggles last year. I am also curious to see what Gruden thinks of Dak Prescott.

I get what you are saying. He is trying to instruct them without really calling them out using humor.
"Two handed monster Carson Palmer."
The Goff int's.
I have been a big fan since the series started. Gruden is the kind of teacher that relates to his players.
I wanted him as head coach but he has a good gig without the time commitment of HC.

So from Wentz's numbers, I'm seeing his numbers are lower on routes that require his receivers to beat someone. Slants, corners, posts. Is it a result of his receivers not creating separation, or is he missing open receivers on those throws. I'm surprised his Go routes are that good. He seems to be above average on timing type routes.
Goff seems somewhat the opposite, which I find surprising. Comebacks are his worst throw. I also thought he'd be better on deep balls (Go's).
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. That's just how I am interpreting the numbers. I wish Wentz had more athletic receivers. And a larger sample size. Sadly, we've only got what we've got.

That is a horrible sample. I wonder if that is a function of the offense or that they didn't run comebacks because he was not good at throwing them. Same goes for Wentz on slants. I'd love to see this chart for Wentz on all his starts and not just 2015. As you said, there just isn't enough throws to make a clean judgment.

How's this for a Page Six style nugget? The Los Angeles Rams' top brass is currently all dining with NDSU QB Carson Wentz. https://twitter.com/PSchrags/status/722268829552930816Knock 'em dead Carson.

Well, all this Goff/Wentz discussion turned out to be a real waste of time.
I am going to go ahead and claim victory as it looks like Goff will be the #1 QB taken.
