Yeah, I get the feeling that this might of been Detroit's best shot at us. Their shooting was ridiculous, everything was falling for them, and we still pulled away at the end.
It's even more amazing when you realize they are in the bottom third of the league in 3 point shooting. That's on SVG. Guy got his players ready for the challenge. I think the Cavs should probably come out with a little more comfortable win on Tuesday, but I really think that game 3 in Detroit, they're going to get pushed.

Memphis has a bunch of old ass players, D league players, injuries abound, and 2 of their starters out for the year, yet they are within 4 of the spurs, playing absolute monster defense.
their coach better be a strong candidate for COY.

SVG is one of the best coaches in the NBA. Not only is he a great tactical coach on game day, but he develops players. agreed. he is definitely in the top 4-5 coaches in the NBA IMO

OK, thanks! It was just bugging me because i am watching the other playoff games and the worse teams are getting blown out of the water. I want to blow Detroit out of the water.

Was Detroit's offense that good today, or was our defense that bad? It shouldn't have been close. Our defense really wasn't that bad. We did a good job of limiting penetration and keeping their bigs in check, but they would throw it outside, have a hand in their face and still hit the shot. It reminded me of that 2009 Orlando series, where everything they threw up just went in.

You think it should be thib over svg? Thibs has had more recent success. Either would be a great choice and a massive upgrade over Sam Mitchell. The talent that team has and will have into the future is completely ridiculous.

Man, the Bulls completely blew that decision to fire him. They pretty much had to fire him because of the infighting that was going on (Forman and Paxson weren't going anywhere). The mistake was hiring Fred Hoiberg as his replacement. He seemed to be in over his head.

LeBron probably does get the benefit sometimes.. then again, LeBron has been so big and strong his whole career, he takes a lot of body contact when he drives that never gets called because he doesn't flail his arms up and flop to the ground like a lot of players do.

that was good defensive effort from both teams.
but in reality.....i'm starting to see the truth:
the media had no choice but to manufacture hype for all the other eastern conference teams. cause the reality is that none of these teams except miami has a shot at beating us in a 7 game series.

They have two big guys that are All-NBA caliber, the Celtics have Sullinger, Olynyk, and Amir Johnson. Then the Celtics lost Avery Bradley and all was lost. If the Celtics get a star with all their assets, then the sky is the limit. Right now they are just a weird mishmash of players with an excellent coach.
