And still not a shred of proof he had anything to do with or knew of deflating the footballs.

What a waste of court room time and resources for something so trivial that was actually discovered and fixed immediately by the referee's during the incident. This is all about the NFL commish trying to save face. Goodell needs to go.

Sashi and the analytic guys should all know we could simply trade our #32 pick to the Patriots if they hold out Tom Brady one more week.

I'll take the pick and the beating that comes along with keeping it. We're playing for 2017 and the future. 2016 is going to be rough.

Well then Sashi and the analytic guys should know to trade #32 to the Patriots for their 2017 1st rd. We get more future players since you know, this year is already talked about being tanked for the future and it doesn't really matter.

He was suspended for being uncooperative in their investigation. he refused to turn over his phone. I dont think Roger had any other choice but to suspend him. inflating or deflating isnt that big of a deal for me but him trying to hide evidence and cover it up is a big deal for me.

I agree that it was a waste of time. I hate that our government is devoting time to things like this. I read one of the articles, and the overturn came not because of what Brady did/didn't do, but rather that Goodell did act within his authority as specified by the CBA. I believe the judge actually said something to the effect of, "if you don't like it, you shouldn't have signed it".

I don't know what Brady did/didn't do. I'm not sure I fault him for not turning over his phone given how absurdly porous the NFL is with privacy. Also, I seem to remember the Patriots running at will during that fateful game, and that was the factor in their win, which doesn't have that much to do with PSI.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

The fact the cheater organization finally got some repercussions set in stone, or the fact of all the cry baby NE fans are crying because their cheater team is being punished lmfao.

In either case, I love it. I love all there is regarding this haha.

I agree with you 100%.

But when a sport grows to the extent that the NFL has, it's a business first. To the players, coaches, owners and businesses of a city, the NFL becomes a career and a business. At 155 million dollar salary cap for each team, the combined cap money is 4.96 billion dollars. At last count, the Browns net worth is 1.5 billion dollars. Even at that rate if multiplied by 32 would mean NFL franchises combined would be worth 48 billion dollars. And we know it's higher than that.

The natural flow with that much money comes power. The power of wealth. Attorneys are hired by both sides to represent each entity. Complicated contracts and court cases follow.

As sad as it is, this isn't the same sport we watched when we were young men. At that time, money was smaller and both owners and players struggled for success and acceptance from the public. It's funny how people work together much better when struggling for success than they do once success is achieved.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I was thinking a rusty Brady. But, maybe not. Id he allowed to practice with the team during this suspension?

Given the Pats practice of always stretching the rules, I'd be surprised if Brady wasn't in the Best shape for our game...

Which defense? The one that was here last year, or the one they hope to bring in?

I mean, Haden was out most of last year, Whitner, Dansby, Gipson are gone.

We have added a couple of pieces, nothing earth shaking. And we have the draft. New DC, New System.. Hell, I have no idea what to expect.,..

I think Brady should retire out of contempt for the NFL and not let the suspension happen.

Regardless of hope and etc, I'm preparing myself for a very shaky defensive unit. I'm actually preparing for a very shaky team, overall, this upcoming season. I'm just being real. We're going suck and we may even suck more than we did last year factoring our schedule is, imo, a wee bit stronger and our team has went backwards this offseason losing our offensive linemen we did. All JMO.

Dawg, we have a new DC, a new system and we will have new players that at this time we don't know whom they'll be. They may take to this system and be better than we may believe at this time. New guys that may be hungry and want to be good. We can hope. We're due for something to break right for us.

Yes, we can hope. The underlying issue is, the extent and duration of our hope has lead to...

Well you know what the rest of that story. I have more faith with Horton heading up this defense, defensively speaking, but the man can't make chicken salad outta chicken crap. Dude is working with the likes of Orchard and a corner back group that could make ya vomit if you think hard about. A group that regardless of scheme, let's people run down their throats game after game.

We have the coordinator locked down, but we need to give him players worth while to get anything outta it.

On the NFL Network they were saying that he probably won't miss a game. The thought was he may be able to negotiate a fine of some sort or some other type of punishment.

If he does get suspended he just may ruin our 4 game win streak brownie

Sadly, I don't think you are alone. I'm not Mr. Negative or anything, but I've been disappointed by this team since the return so as a defense measure, I am taking a wait and see attitude.

I am fully aware that with this many changes, it's hard to imagine we'll have the same kind of team as last year. Yet it almost always seems that we find another way to be bad. If it didn't hurt so much, it would be funny.

Exactly. We can HOPE that we finally have a good draft and get some GOOD players in here. With Farmer gone we may have a chance.
