It's almost here, the one event Browns fans can look toward with eager anticipation, the NFL Draft. All the discussions, arguments, videos, reports, mock drafts...all the angst, are reaching the climax.

I don't know if this is when the organization begins to climb out of the hole. I sure hope it is. I like the coaching staff. I'm curious to see if this unusual FO team can do what previous teams have not, draft well.

I don't need all home runs, I don't think even the best drafting teams hit with every pick. Get impact players early. Get players that improve the team, and for God's sake, avoid high profile busts!

Good luck Sashi and team. Draft well, give us something to feel good about.

I just hope that we are in the position of looking back, 3 or 4 years from now, and seeing how this draft was the start of turning this team into a winner.

It's mind boggling how consistently bad our drafts have been regardless of who has been in charge.

With our history it's hard for me to get all that excited about the draft but I share your optimism.

Is is Christmas time for Browns fans. May the presents last a long time and hold up well.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

I'm friends with a Jets fan and we always throw a mini draft party for draft day. Our wives ask, "Why are you having a party for the draft?" And we're like, "This is OUR Super Bowl!"

which is why it's always a bonus when we trade back and acquire more picks ... at least we get to have a more exciting weekend

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Y'know, 2.0 usually indicates an improved version of the original. js smile

.... or perhaps Chaun Thompson 4.0?

The draft doesn't excite me in the least anymore. Too many bad drafts to get excited about it.

For those of you on Twitter, Aditi Kinkhabwala (NFL Network) and Josina Anderson (ESPN) are inside the Browns facility for the draft. They should be pretty good follows over the next couple days.

Yes, phone has been ringing upstairs in Berea today abt pick no. 8. But as Browns Exec VP Sashi Brown just told me: "My socks are still on."

Brown told me team can still “get a very good guy at 8,”but teams still interested in 2-3 players around their slot

Woke up today undefeated! D-Day is here. Hope I get pretty excited pretty soon.

Just get some decent players for a change.

There's always one thing that I can get excited about on draft day... The FOOD!

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

The #Browns have spoken with teams about moving back in the 1st round… and moving up into the 1st round from the 2nd. For a QB?

I would be surprised if we did this, but it makes sense. Getting that extra option year on the contract is a pretty big deal.

While it is clear evidence that his momma never let him dress himself, I doubt it effects his game. lol

J/C:

I think his fashionista attitude is immature at best and down right childish at worst. Like the freaking NCAA gives a crap about his half shirt now. BTW, he won't be wearing a half shirt in the NFL. Unless he enjoys paying a lot of fines and then he may not be able to as that jersey could be considered a piece of safety equipment and the NFL won't let that go.
