We would only be giving up two selections ... What would it take in compensation? My guess is we drop out of the second round, but get a 2017 first round pick. That would be tempting, but i was thinking pick 4-101 and their 34th pick.

Joe Banner ‏@JoeBanner13 Browns completely dominate first round, and the "football guys" and pundits don't seem to have even noticed.
Joe Banner ‏@JoeBanner13 They turned the 2nd pick in the draft ~ into three 1's, two 2's and three 3's. Massively more than anyone else got out of the first round.
Joe Banner ‏@JoeBanner13 It should have said 1 extra one, two extra 2's and three extra 3's. Sorry for error, but you get my point
@JoeBanner13 that's more than the RG3 return

I eventually had to agree to disagree with on of my Steeler buddies. He is of the mindset that the value IS diminished when it's delayed. Maybe, but only if your team is trying to win a championship IMO. Except the Patriots, Ravens, and Seahawks also always trade for future picks. Exactly. Diminished my ass. Never agreed with that BS. Tell me that next year when our #1 from Philly, which is thought of as a 2nd rounder comes inside the top 15. lol. Ok right after we trade it away.

God we would be the ones getting suckered into drafting a players with such a bad injury. He is ready to play week one. And ready for surgery the following week.

What to do in the second round?
I don't know where the real value is, but the notion of taking a guy like Dak Prescott or Myles Jack appeals to me. My brain halfway had the crazy notion of finding a way to take both Jack & jumping back up for Ragland, too.
Just my crazy $0.02 after not following the pre-Draft process at all this winter/spring.

The Seahawks factor SPARQ as a tool to evaluate a prospects athleticism. They want freaks. The Browns sound like a team who would like to do the same. Anything over a 75.0% is considered a rare athlete (50% being average). Corey Coleman score was 94.4%, tied for 3rd highest among prospects with Doctson. If you want to try and guess Cleveland's picks going forward refer to here: https://3sigmaathlete.com/rankings/ Look out for these players in the next 2 rounds: RB Derrick Henry OT Jason Spriggs DE Emmanuel Ogbah DL Jonathan Bullard DL Bronson Kaufusi DL Hassan Ridgeway DL Javon Hargrave DL Chris Jones LB Jordan Jenkins LB Deion Jones CB James Bradberry CB Xavien Howard CB Eric Murray DB Sean Davis DB Miles Killebrew DB T.J. Green DB Justin Simmons

I don't give a rip what the Browns do with any of these draft picks, they can't convince me that this team can win even 6 games next season, and THAT is unacceptable.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Pick 32: Trade down?
Emmanuel Ogbah
Mackenzie Alexander Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner folks! I would add Spence to the list.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

That is why the powers to be that put the team together prior to this year are no longer here. This new FO knows this team cannot win this year. That is why they have done what they have done. They are trying to build a strong young foundation going forward thru the draft. These moves have all been tremendous. To complete the task properly they must hit on these picks.

You are correct in that no matter who we take, we WILL suck in 2016... however, who we take in these couple of days will have a lot to say in how we do in 2017 and beyond.

I do find it interesting that spence left Ohio St due to being kicked out for partying to damn much and he goes to EKU the #1 party school in kentucky. That says a lot considering Louisville spends all that money on professional entertainers for their parties lol.

I really hope we take him at 32. As a player I agree with you. He is a game changer coming off the edge. An impact player. The problem is the Browns need to change the culture. I do not think they can afford to take possible injured players or possible character flaws.

He is the best pass rusher in this draft END OF STORY Well worth the risk at 33
Spence and Henry we get one of those I am happy. I would probably take spence and try to trade back up for Henry.

NFL Network reported that we want to have 15-17 icks in this draft. I like the idea of piling up as many picks today as we can. This team is bereft of talent. We can get well in a hurry by piling up picks in this and future drafts. I don't want to trade down any further than 40-42 ..... but if we can pile up additional assets, we have to do so. I would love to see us with 5 or 6 total picks today. We already own 32, 64, 65, and 77, and I think that we can trade down from 32, and add 2 more picks today. My dream scenario is this: Dallas trades us 34, their 3rd, and a future 3rd, for 32. An unreasonable haul? Sure. But, let's be unreasonable. Then the Titans pick comes up, and they have 2 guys they feel they just can't live without, so we trade them 34 for their 2 remaining 2nd round picks, giving us 43 and 45. So, then we have 43, 45, 64, 65, 67, and 77. Bam! Then we open day 3 with back to back picks at 99 and 100. 9 picks is the top 100 would be incredible ..... probably about as impossible as can be ..... but definitely a nice dream.

U would think with all these guys basing things on analytics that they would realize there is a limit on the number people that on your opening day roster.

You guys know we are likely trading the pick, right? Does that mean we have to agree, Commandant? Some of us prefer quality players to "guys" later in the draft.

Let your coaches get their hands on as many guys as possible and decided who stays and who goes. There is no better way to evaluate talent than to have it in your building on a regular basis.

Yeah, but I could also see us cutting or trading 10 veterans remaining on the team as of right now. I think that if we can get value for guys like Greco, McCown, Hawkins, Des Bryant, Kruger, maybe Lee, and maybe even Joe Thomas, (maybe a 2nd and a future 1st) then they are gone. If we don't get value for them, they could still be gone anyway, Tramon Williams could easily be gone, as could Armonty Bryant (he already opens the season suspended) and Gilbert. Given that we already had holes, I can easily see 12-15 draft picks and maybe 2-3 UDFA in the mix for the final roster. They grow guys this year, and have a ton of picks again next year, and maybe we get well really, really quick. I can easily see half the roster we open the season with being guys in their 1st year with the Browns.

I do not have an issue trading down if they are trying to accumulate as much ammo as possible to get back into the 2nd round later.
Trade down for a lower 2nd maybe only a few spots to Dallas and then trade some of the extra 3rd and 4th to get back into the 2nd.
I would do so in a heart beat. There are impact players to be had deep into the 2nd. After that they will be drafting players that can start and/or provide depth.
