There goes Hackenberg ... So Why is Cook Falling? I don't know but we seemingly have no interest in a QB this draft. Kind of weird. They must REALLY be sold on RG3. Agreed Or they didn't like any of the QBs this year. Which is allowed. Forcing a QB pick is the worst thing you can do (Quinn, McCoy, Weeden, Manziel, etc.).

As long as they take the BPA we will be fine. If they reach for need we have problems.

I would like to get Vonn Bell S/CB LeRon Clark OT and Tyler Boyd WR in the 3rd ...

Am I the only one who gets excited when players you don't want us to draft....get drafted ahead of our picks...Hoping several of these big time players last until our 3rd round picks...now is the time for these teams to start drafting reaches lol

Just because we took other player we had rated higher does not mean that we don't like a particular QB in this draft. I think we use one of our 3rd rounders on Prescott. My gut's talking to me.

I think it's probably more likely that they just weren't very sold on any of the guys in this draft and having RG3 & McCown gives us the temporary flexibility to not have to reach. We already know we're going to suck this year, so we already know that we'll be well positioned to pick one next year... and we'll have enough picks to be able to make any deal we want. Or the guys we are sold on will still be there.

One thing I really like is that the Browns seem to be just ahead of all the runs on position groups that have happened. We kicked off the run on WRs, and seem to have kicked off the run on DE's/OLB'ers.
Whether you like the picks or not, they've had their pick of the litter.

Wonder which WR the Bengals will reach for since they got shutout in Rd. #1 ...

But then it falls to them being RIGHT about that. If they pass on Wentz and he wins three SB's in Philly while we are stuck wihtout a QB five years from now, we will curse this draft and those that made it. They have to be RIGHT. They have to find US a QB. until WE have ours and see how Wentz turns out, we have no idea how this draft has gone.

I had one of those Arby's Italian subs. 12 or so picks till we're up again.

Any rumblings if we're going to trade back into the second?

I'm pretty sure that Sashi used a few other teams (Seahawks and someone else) as an example once in that you build your team, then you plug in your QB. Taking that at face value, it makes no sense to reach for a QB this year unless a superb value drops into our lap.

Any rumblings if we're going to trade back into the second? Haven't seen anything. I would be pretty shocked. We are in the pick accumulation business, not the pick trading away business.

My only reservation is that I've known very few foreign born players that have succeeded in the NFL. None I can think of actually. Garo Yepremian Christian Okoye "Ziggy" Ansah Osi Umenyiora Tamba Hali ...and I hope this foreign-born guy plays like his rookie year: RGIII (boen in Japan... hehe)

They were searching high and low for a QB from day one of that regime. They signed and traded for a plethora of QB's. Hell, they had just signed Flynn from the Pack for a fairly substantial contract when they drafted Wilson and he beat Flynn out. They threw everything they had into finding a QB. Whitehead, traded for that kid from the Vikes.... can't recall his name. Took them to the playoffs the year before Favre signed....

"Carroll was with the Seahawks a few years before they hit on Wilson." and from day ONE he was looking for a QB. He traded for Whithurst. Traded for Tarvaris Jackson < that was the kids name from the Vikes. Signed Matt Flyn. It's not like they didn't bother with the position until the team was entirely built and then finished with a QB. They were looking from day one.

Tavaris Jackson, I think you mean. ...and I was thinking the same thing you were regarding the Seahawks. They had a whole mess of QBs in there vying for that starting spot, and I think Jackson and maybe someone else were the incumbents.

I'd say we are doing that somewhat with Griffin.
