Why?

At the top of round 4, there will be 3 rd round talent available...trading that away for the middle of round 4 where you are assured of getting 4th round talent...gaining only a 5th round pick...not good, imo.

I'm sure the Raiders thank Sashi for the gift

Maybe.

Or they think there is more value in selecting a player in the fourth and the fifth because whatever player you pick at this point will probably only be in the league a few years.

This draft has players all the way through to the 5th round. Their targets may have value later in the round while gaining an extra pick. We need depth (really need)... I believe some of our current players will not be on the roster after mini-camp.

It is if you see the next 20 or so picks as being fairly flat.

The Browns reportedly wanted 15-17 picks in today's draft. If I count right, we are at 14 now, and only 1 is in the 6-7 rounds.

I still have a list a mile long of guys that I want to see in a Browns uniform. Keep picking up extra picks!

Then how does that make it valuable? Value means nothing at all if it doesn't become players on the field.

Most of these guys will not stick. Get as many of them as possible and hope that one of them does.

Ravens, Seahawks etc build their roster with these picks...
Plenty of talent out there that can help special teams, depth and who knows who might be a homerun

I don't blame the kid. Guy follows them to a bar then grabs his GF? Lucky all he got was a few bruises.

A linebacker. Odd they felt they needed to jump us to get a position we had just taken.

Haha yeah...thought they'd go with TE considering they have Zach Miller and let Bennett go to the Pats

WR Ricardo Louis is a player several teams considered as a cornerback convert. He's 6-2, 215 but shaky hands.

If we take Cooper, then people just complain about having another receiver under six feet.

Yeah I know we need a bigger target...so there's Loius...but Loius is expected to perhaps make the move to CB? So a Tony Lippet project who's not half as polished as Lippet...and still in the 4th round? This team has too many needs for picks like this...just not real excited.

Just a random thought on possible landing spots for Cardale Jones. I don't think he gets out of the 4th round. I could see him going to Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Arizona in the 120's. Cardinals would be a great spot for him, with Bruce Ariens there to teach him while Carson Palmer finishes his career.

This late in the draft many teams target players they like and aren't so much playing the value game, and Browns have a lot of picks to take who they want...

I've been reading up on Ricardo Louis and haven't read anything about drops yet....can someone tell me where this bad hands wrap comes from? Actually curious because I don't know anything about him other then his highlight reel and measurables

I found this about the moving to DB rumor:

Auburn WR Ricardo Louis was asked to work out at defensive back by one NFL team during the program's Pro Day.
