Honestly have never heard of him. Ran a 4.5 ... big conference

[quote] During the 2015 Alamo Bowl press conference, he stated he broke his collarbone three days before the start of his senior season, but decided to play through the injury. /quote]

Looks like we've replaced Tashaun Gipson. Played a season with a broken collar bone.

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM

I think I mentioned him in one of the sleeper threads. Is a tough dude, and supposedly great intangibles/leadership. Lit people up while playing with a broken collarbone.

We're following the "Major League" blueprint smile.

Board Member #1: I've never heard of half of these guys and the ones I do know are way past their prime.
Charlie: Most of these guys never had a prime.
Rachel Phelps: The facts are, we lost our two best players to free agency. We haven't won a pennant in over thirty-five years, we haven't placed higher than 4th in the last fifteen. Obviously, it's time for some changes.

I don't know a whole lot about him ...... but a guy who is known as a banger, and plays Safety, and played the whole year with a broken collarbone .......

I try to follow the S position via nfldraftbreakdown but they have no game cut-ups of him...read a profile that says he's a physical, tough, old school S

Question for the forum, how much college do you guys watch? Are you casual fans or do you watch religiously?

I ask because a lot of you are saying you haven't heard of some of these guys.

Derek Kindred Article

I like him. Seems to fit the culture we're trying to build and will contribute on special teams early.

What do you expect in the 4th, a guy who is going to start and be an All Pro on day 1 of his career?

We will add players who have a particular skill, and who we think can be developed beyond that. Most 4th round picks are "guys", and some of those "guys" turn out being pretty darn good.

I don't like all of our picks .... and the Kessler pick still seems to me to have been way too early ..... but I do like several of them .... and this kid's toughness, and love of the game, are off the charts. I think that he is a kid who will do anything the team needs, and anything he has to do in order to improve, and become a starter.

Man, I cannot imagine playing Safety with a broken collarbone ..... the whole season ..... crazy That's one tough son of a gun.

Haven't watched him any game cut-ups of him, so I don't know much about him.

Would have preferred KJ Dillon/Tyvis Powell b/c I watched their game cut-ups...but Kindred could grade well who knows...good measurable tho

I'll look for some game cut-ups

I love this pick I thought he was the best player on that really good TCU defense. Coaches loved him. Played pretty much with one arm this year. Whitner clone.

I hate that the Browns trade back and don't select the obvious hall of famer who is still around in the 4th round! What a losing franchise! Never ever getting the hall of fame 4th rounders. These GM's are such a joke!

PFF Draft
@PFF_College
Only 46.2% of passes thrown into Derrick Kindred's coverage in 2015 were completed, the 3rd-best rate in this S class (min. 25 targets)

And I love how posters make fun of other posters for having an opinion on players, especially since those posters have been so accurate over the years.

What's your record on fourth round picks?

I don't have one because I don't pretend to know anything about these guys. I just wait and see.

He makes perfect sense ... Not sure WHAT PART CONFUSES U ....

Y-Town rightfully so pointed out when u get to this stage of the draft your going to get "developmental" players and not guys that can step right in and help ...

Vers then said that Y-Town is a supporter of trading down (I have no clue .... Just telling u what Vers said) .....

He then pointed out being a proponent of trading down as the way to build your team and then saying your going to get projects and developmental guys in the part of the draft you'll be trading into for the most part is very hypocritical ....

Not very hard to understand ... Apearantly you'd rather get under Vers skin and ruin another thread cause of your child like antics .... And No .. I'm not sticking up for Vers ... He has his share of the blame ... BUT what your doing here is BS ... Unless of course u really don't know what Vers was saying ... In witch case I just feel sorry for U ....

Hard Hitter needs to wrap up better
Keep decent pad level
Hips are not great, so he will lose leverage
Closing speed ok
Instincts good

Good pick.. imo

Kindred wears #26

Vers on picking Leon McFadden over Tyrann Mathiue (Which was probably one of the dumbest moves ever:

Quote:
I love this pick. This kid fits our defense perfectly.

We will pressure the quarterback. We will hurry throws.

This kid has great feet. He gets an excellent break on the ball. He will challenge receivers. He is a bit of a gambler, but that should be good in Horton's defense.

Love his feet. Love his closing speed on the ball.

Excellent pick..

Vers, other than QB's (Because you're on the money there), the more times you disagree with me about prospects, the better I feel.

The new style draft coverage is a huge let down. they broke away from showing cut ups of the two safeties to watch some semi-celeb announce a pick. suppossebly to make it more fun to watch. HEY!! its day three! the only people watching want to see the film on the players you Network numbskulls. nobody cares about bouncing out to local yokels to announce the pick.

Yeah this coverage really sucks, they give you a round of commercials, locals talking on and then a quick run down of the five picks you missed.
