There's a ton of threads with every individual player and I think it would just be easier to compile it into one thread:

I'm not going to pretend to say I like or hate this Draft. I've loved Drafts in the past that turned out to be terrible. I'm going to look at it objectively.

14 players. 5 pass catchers. 4 LB/DE. 2 DBs (3 if you count the trade with the Dolphins), 2 OL, 1 QB.

Here's some numbers on the front seven adds:
Scooby Wright: 15 sacks
Carl Nassib: 15.5 sacks
Joe Schobert: 9.5 sacks
Emmanuel Ogbah: 12.5 sacks

Even the players projected to play inside can get to the QB. Will every player pan out? NO. But if even 2 of the 4 players in the front seven pan out, the Browns just got a lot better today.

Same can be said for the receivers. I have a pretty good feeling about Coleman but I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about the others. Once again, if even 2 of the receivers pan out beyond Coleman, the Browns just got a lot better today. (the cherry on top to the receiving group would be if #12 could get his act together).

Who knows how the DBs will pan out, but one can expect that one of the two drafted will become a reasonable contributor. Same with the OL.

Who knows how Kessler will pan out. I've liked every QB we've drafted and this is one where I'm a bit lukewarm. Maybe that's a good sign.

What I like about this draft is just based on the quantity of picks, the Browns have to have struck gold on some of them.

Scooby kind of confuses me a little bit. Hes an ILB, right?? All I see is film of him rushing the QB though. How is he against the run? Can he stand up an OG, shed him, and get to the ball??

14 projects, all of them need to be coached up in a big way and it's questionable whether there's a day one starter in the bunch. Maybe Coleman, maybe Ogbah, we'll have to wait and see. There's a lot of raw potential, but it will need to be developed. Ricardo Louis is a real head scratcher. I don't understand that pick at all. Kessler in the 3rd? Was that really necessary? I doubt it. There are several with potential medical issues, we have to hope those are behind them. There don't seem to be any game changers here. No Ramsey, no Zeke, no Bose, no Buckner and no franchise QB, but, overall, they seem like a lot of hard working guys. Whether they'll transform the team or not, who knows?

I don't want to get caught up too much in this was a good/bad pick, because I think it's pretty dumb. I had Cleveland sports talk on this morning and afternoon, and it's hilarious when these hot-takers call in and crap all over the draft or think every player is a future hall of famer. Nobody really knows. These kids aren't drafted on what they did in college. They are picked on what the team thinks they are capable of as they continue to grow and develop their bodies. All of these kids were really good college players, so they all have traits that sound good in theory...

I do love the strategy the team used, once I saw the entire picture. If you take away QB, our most glaring weakness was the WR position, and unlike QB, that is a multiple player on the field position. I think Hue was able to convince everyone else that you just can't operate with the group we have, a bunch of short, slight guys and your best player probably looking at another year off.

So they went heavy at the position, all while still being able to find a pass rusher and get younger on the front 7, add OL depth, and grab a developmental QB with some really nice qualities. We don't know who in this group is good, and who isn't but I love the approach.

I'm a little surprised they went with Corey Coleman as their top WR on their board, but I think he can play. While he is also another wideout under 6 feet, he's also a lot thicker than Benjamin or Gabriel. He can probably do some damage against DB's, and his vertical apparently is through the roof.. I also like that it seems like the Browns may be able to move him all over the field.

I can see the potential with Ogbah. I can see Horton really simplifying things for him early on.

Cody Kessler has a ton of experience with pro offense formations, taking snaps under center, using play-action, etc.. I like this pick because the team accrued so many picks this year, that you really allow yourself to draft a guy who probably won't benefit you in the first 2 years. It also doesn't handcuff you into not being able to take a QB next year. You can absolutely go QB in round one if you want to dive into that investment. You can play both sides of the fence with the selection. I hope he doesn't get thrown to the wolves too early next year, but we all know the Browns have a trend of having to play 3 and 4 QB's every year. I'd just rather this be a redshirt year for him, and we see where we are a year from now...

I don't know a lot about Nassib, and I don't really remember him sticking out when I saw Penn State (probably because Penn State is a boring bad football team) but that is one gigantic dude.6'7' 277 is a power forward on your DL.

It's going to be an interesting day when TC opens and all these new WR's, plus the ones already on the roster, get together and compete for jobs.

I don't know how all you guys think the roster will shape out from here, but I would imagine at QB, the depth chart will probably look like Griffin-McCown-Kessler with maybe Davis sticking around? I'm not even sure if that guy is practice squad eligible.

RB and TE is obviously safe, but I would imagine every WR that was on our roster Thursday morning is probably on alert.

I'm excited either way. I see a lot of people on social media berating those who get excited at a Browns draft because past ones didn't work out. Truth is, those drafts don't have anything to do with this one. If this team is ever going to turn things around, it's going to be on draft day, so why not be excited at the opportunity?

I really hope this group gives us some really good players.

This is not a flawed philosophy. As team and organisation you want to be able to draft this year, with next year in mind. However we know that we will have to get some production out of this years class this year, because we are not there yet as a team. With that said it's never to early to start acting like we are.

I like alot of what we did, and for the most part thought our strategy was sound at least. The Browns identified two issues imo that they were determined to fix in this draft....

WR with size and big play ability. Now not all of these guys had both (I don't think their was a WR with both in this draft), but the collection of the 5 guys they drafted had at least one of these characteristics. We didn't see any 5-8 slot WRs like Hawkins taken is my point.

Pass rushers. Ogbah and Nassib can get after the passer. Heck for that matter Kindred, Schobert, and even Wright have the potential to do so as well.

So I appreciate that they saw an area of need and addressed it as a theme throughout the draft. I also liked the two OL we drafted. Coleman is the guy I really like, and think he is the starting RT day one. He's raw and will struggle some to begin with, but has a chance to be a solid player for us moving forward. Drango is another guy I like who played LT in college, but will probably have to move inside (or RT) to see playing time in the NFL. He needs to get stronger to do that, but he has pretty good feet and is a very good run blocker from what I've saw.

The secondary picks were a bit of a head scratcher to me as well. I like Kindred as a in the box safety, but I wonder how relevant those guys are in the NFL anymore. He struggles in coverage, but he does have plenty of pop and can run. As I stated in his thread he reminds me of a poor man's TJ Ward. Horton did a good job of hiding TJ's warts why he was here and accentuating the positives so maybe he can do the same with Kinder. We didn't draft a real CB in this draft as Caldwell is more of a FS to me as well.

I didn't like the Kessler pick, because of where we drafted him. I should say I don't like the strategy behind it. I think in the top 100 picks you need guys who are bonafide starters for you in years 1 or 2. I don't think you take a flyer type QB pick at that spot. It's not that I don't like him as a player (I like him better than Cook), but it's that he's a guy with a limited skill set and thus most likely not a starter in the NFL. NFL backup QBs are very valuable, but for a team that needs starters EVERYWHERE we sure as hell should have waited for our flyer/backup QB selection to later. Especially when I am pretty convinced Kessler would have been there later.

I dislike the Louis pick as well, but that has more to do with me not liking WRs who I don't know...can't catch. He has incredible measurables, and might be able to contribute, but those hands worry me.

Those were the only picks I didn't like/hated. Some of the others I might have done something different, but overall I think they did a pretty good job. I loved the fact that we had 14 picks. I read an article that someone posted on here that basically summarized that regardless of who is drafting you are doing incredibly well to hit on 50 of your picks. So quantity does matter imo. The more chances you have the more opportunities you have to be successful. So overall I liked the strategy we used during this draft.

I see what they did and I am very intrigued by it. The only one that appeared to be off script was kessler and I think that one was a pure coaches choice award winner.

I have always admired how perennially good teams manage to maintain their quality despite drafting later. Years ago I realized they do that by drafting for the future. Bad teams, like the Browns, seem to always try to draft for the following season. Like you observed, I think this draft was run with emphasis on 2017 and beyond. I further believe this approach will pay off.

This draft does seem to be about drafting high character, hard workers who can be developed over time.

I think it's worth noting that, while we didn't draft any true CB, we did trade down in the 7th and got a CB in return. He may work out or not. We also signed 2 CB after the draft, one of whom has a nice highlight clip. Again, that doesn't prove anything other than there's a potential for a diamond in the rough.

Draft went so-so...Coleman, Ogbah, and Nassib were nice picks..Hated the Kessler pick...We seemed to avoid CB, and RB...The Tony Lippet project at WR confuses me, dumb move imho...Some of our later picks were excellent...

All I can say is players whom half-ass it...Justin Gilbert...should be gone soon (training camp) just feel our secondary needed more help...we reached severely on the Auburn WR and our #3/4 QB...

I didnt care for all the trade downs and 4 WRS? Would have opted for Coleman and a trade up for Treadwell versus what we did.

But it should be another long season...2017 should hopefully be better.

Be honest.

I'm not praising or ridiculing this draft. I'm saying I see the strategy and how they hope it plays out.

I'm finding that praising or ridiculing a draft immediately after isn't worth it. Have to see them on the field.

I do have some concerns: Kessler? Who the hell knows. I gave up trying to choose QBs. I don't like that Ricardo Louis has stone hands and the O-linemen taken haven't graded too well, but I see the idea behind all the trades and why players were taken.

-They were all high character, high motor (with the exception of Ogbah on the motor).

-They all had legitimate production in college (compared to Mingo and Wimbley, for example, whose best college seasons were 8 sacks each). All had All Conference awards.

-They all had a "jump off the page" statistic that put them at the top of the crop in a specific category.

There's a formula they stuck to and I'm curious to see how it plays out. I definitely don't think they drafted a bunch of stiffs (Mangini, as much as I liked him as a coach, his record in the draft was awful), no character issues, etc.

Plus, I've come to learn that most of the late rounders I like usually end up out of the league in a couple of years anyway.

Let's see how it goes on the field. I'm especially curious to see the WRs and front seven.

Just watching the press conference with the 1st and 2nd day draft picks ... The one thing that becomes very obvious is the high character of every last one of them.

I just watched the video of Hue Paul Depo, and Hue basically broke down Louis on tape and what a great "Saftey" he was on the tape.

The whole trust Hue thing has taken a bit of a hit...lol. I know he's tired, but he used his name like 3 times and said how he showed great pass breakup abilities....and ironically he's right....hahahaha.

I did read that other teams were looking at him as a safety instead of WR. It could be that's how the Browns see him too.

I was joking....he messed up and gave Kindred's bio of sorts when asked about Louis. He corrected himself later when he realized what he had done.

I'm not saying this is what happened, but this draft is what would have happened IF the board was made strictly by looking at PFF, stats, and SPARQ... and not actually watching any football.

Honestly I would give them a C for this draft. There are too many picks made at low levels. Those guys won't make the team. I would have found creative ways to package them and moved back up to the 2nd and 3rd round picks. You have a much higher chance to get a person worthy of being on the team in rounds 1-4 but after that its a very, very sharp drop off in talent.

I would actually try to grab as many 2nd rounders as I could in any way that I could be a team full of them would be one very talented team.

For the most part, I can understand the selections. Instead of trading away picks to move up, they acquired more as they moved down. This is a numbers game in that the more opportunities you have to pick, the higher chance of success. They recognized the need for WR, OT, and DE and repeatedly hit those positions. Hindsight is the only way to judge a draft as good or bad, but I like the approach.

Maybe so.

Knowing after the 4th round you are looking for a diamond in the rough. To me, it looks like the FO is getting a jump on UDFA guys. Unsure why the heavy concentration on receivers. After a couple of years we'll better understand. Analytically speaking UDFA are a probable asset to pursue. Drafting these guys early mean they don't have to bid for later.

Overall, I can't complain. I am very curious learning the success rate. Normally you like to see half play a role on the team with 7 or 8 picks. It most definitely creates a competition environment. Veterans can't slack seeing numbers.

I had started a new thread earlier in the day to do this but had company. I'll post it here.

My grades of the draft

This is pretty useless until we see how guys actually pan out, but fun anyway. My opinion on these guys is based on what I have researched and someone else may have seen different games and could have seen something completely different. The best hope of any draft is to come away with 3 or 4 starters and we won't know if we were successful for a couple of years, but we are all human and want to form our opinions now, so here's mine.

First my top 3 priorities for the Browns were WR, Edge rusher, and OT. I was also surrendered to the fact that as bad off this team is we should take BPA despite where it falls on the need list.

15 Corey Coleman WR Baylor

I liked both Treadwell and Doctson better, but Corey is tailor made for the Vertical offense that Hue wants. Coleman and RG3 should be able to stretch the field and that should help both our passing game and our running game. He should provide an instant impact with his speed.

Grade A -

32 Emmanuel Ogbah OLB/DE Oklahoma State

I think I have Ogbah a little higher on my board than most. He was at #17 so I am absolutely ecstatic that he was here. After watching him handle LeRaven Clark and Cody Whitehair I was hooked. His blazing 40 time and huge Vertical Leap just set the hook deeper for me.

Grade A +

65 Carl Nassib DE/OLB Penn State

Following Ogbah with Nassib just turned a weakness into a place where we have depth. Nassib was a guy that I was high on as well. (I believe CleveSteve is too.) Nassib is relentless in pursuit and the 6' 7" 277 lber has 4.84 40 yard dash

Grade A

76 Shon Coleman OT Auburn

I literally called this pick. Right before picks 76 and 77 I said "Shon Coleman and a QB". I'll get into the 2nd half of that later, but Shon Coleman was a no brainer at the time. He was literally the top player on my board in what I thought was the top need that we had yet to address. He is a road grader and I think he'll instantly improve the run game. He is a little raw in the passing game and will need coached up a little, but the talent level is there. He played on the Left in college and I think he is athletic enough to be a swing tackle and has the possibility of moving to the Left later in his career.

Grade A

93 Cody Kessler QB USC

Okay, lets get the second part of my calling the picks out of the way. Instead of picking at #77, we traded down. This just reinforced to me that it was going to be a QB because Cook was still on the board and I didn't think we were targeting him. I wanted Dak Prescott or Cardale Jones and had them rated pretty equally. When they called Cody's name I was dumbfounded. He is a highly accurate QB, but I assumed that Hue wanted a big armed guy. After thinking about it for a while, I think Hue is going all-in on RG3 and is looking at Cody as a solid back-up. A role I think he will do well at. Hue has already stated "You have to trust me on this." So I will. I had said earlier that I didn't want a QB at #2 but I would trust Hue if we picked one. I'll have to do the same thing here. However, the fact remains that we took him at #93 and I think that we could have taken him much lower than that. In Hue's interview he stated that "We drafted Cody at the spot we thought he would fall to." That is possibly true. NE took Jacoby Brissett 2 picks higher than Cody and I thought that he would fall as well, but I still have doubts that Cody was on the radar of other teams. The real deal breaker was that we lost a little value on the trade value chart and could have just taken someone else here and used pick #99 on Cody in round 4.

Grade D-

99 Joe Schobert OLB Wisconsin

Joe was drafted about a round earlier than I thought he would. I had him ranked at 122. He got plenty of production as OLB in a 3-4 system, (9.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss) but he is undersized for an OLB and I think that his fit on the Browns would be at ILB. The kid had the fastest 60 yd shuttle in the combine and those sideline to sideline skills are what we need in the middle. He would also give Horton a pass rusher in the middle as well.

Grade C- If they want him at OLB, C+ if it's ILB

114 Ricardo Louis WR Auburn

I haven't watched much on Ricardo Louis so I might be off-base on my grade here. I had him on my list as a barely draftable 237. He is very quick but doesn't run good routes and has the dropsies. It was posted in the thread about him here that he might switch to corner and if that is the case he is very athletic. I think that his best shot making the roster is DB or special teams. Another option could be RB.

Grade F

129 Derrick Kindred SS TCU

I really like this pick. If you get a chance, watch some tape on this guy. This is an old school slobber-knocker of a safety. The only reason that I wouldn't rank this kid higher than where he was drafted was because he tends to nosedive the legs without wrapping up and that leads to some misses. His coverage is actually decent for a SS prospect and given his 4.5 40 yard dash time will get even better with coaching.

Grade B-

138 Seth DeValve TE Princeton

I literally know nothing about this guy other than his nickname was Safety Valve. I was tempted to grade this an F, but that isn't fair until I watch some tape.

Grade Incomplete

154 Jordan Payton WR UCLA

Okay this pick I understand, but I thought there were better options out there. He had a ton of production at UCLA and will fill the role of possession WR. He will catch the contested balls and runs decent routes. He blocks well too. He struggles to gain separation though and once he gets it, struggles to keep it. He's a classic over-achiever, so the question is can he keep doing that at the next level.

Grade C

168 Spencer Drango OG Baylor

Everyone assumes he'll be a guard because he comes from Baylor and the transition at tackle is tough from that system to the NFL. He does pull well, so guard might be his spot, but I do think he is athletic enough to stay at tackle although that might take time.

Grade B

172 Rashard Higgins WR Colorado State

Love this pick. He dropped in the draft because he had a bad 40 time at the combine. He is also thin, so durability may be an issue. Watching the tape though, you can see that speed isn't an issue. Long strider, big catch radius, and will leap for the ball. Defenders lose track of him. I can't see how this guy doesn't make our roster. He already looks polished on his routes.

Grade A +

173 Trey Caldwell CB Louisiana–Monroe

This is another guy that I haven't seen any tape on. I can't really knock the pick until I do.

Grade Incomplete

250 Scooby Wright ILB Arizona

This is as much of a steal as the Rashard Higgins pick. I know CleveSteve doesn't like him, but I think that he's a heck of a run stuffer that eats blocks for breakfast. He's a liability in coverage, but even if you play him 2 downs, the intensity that he brings is worth it in my opinion.

Grade A

Okay so for the overall draft...

The good

We addressed what I thought were our biggest needs early. We traded well for the most part other (than the trade down for the Kessler pick). We drafted no one with character issues. We drafted tremendous athletes. We loaded up on draft picks for next year.

The bad

We reached too much. Especially in the 4th round when there was still a ton of talent out there. I don't care if Hue loved Kessler, we could have got him lower. I said before that trading down hasn't been the problem, it's what we did with those picks that is the problem and I think that some of the picks in the mid/lower part of the draft followed the same pattern.

The ugly

There are 2 guys in this draft that I couldn't even grade because I had never heard of them. 1 was a 6th rounder and that happens, but it shouldn't happen with a guy that you draft in the 4th. As much trading down as we did, we could have picked up an extra 6th or 7th round pick for a guy off everyone's radar. Getting Extra picks doesn't work if you waste them.

Overall, I think we did have a good draft because of the top and a couple of good picks on the bottom. This could have been a great draft though. I'm not going throw anyone under the bus just yet, but I just plain didn't understand some of these picks. If I have time, I might do a redraft for us to show what we could have had. I think we will come out with 3 or 4 starters, but this could have been much more than that.

I'm good with Wright at 250. I didn't like him in the 2nd/3rd round area that was discussed. I'd rather have had Daniels but he went earlier.

Corey Coleman! I feel a lot better now. I thought they said the Browns drafted Gary Coleman.

I overall like what we did.

What they did in college doesn't mean they'll be the same in the NFL, but 7 All Americans. Words I kept hearing are production, character, speed, relentless, motor, physical ...all good words.

3 picks left me scratching my head - Kessler, Caldwell, and DeValve. I like Kessler's accuracy, but his arm strength needs to be improved. A game manager is what I think of, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I think he could have been had a round, or maybe 2 later. I trust Hue though. Caldwell had some good numbers but he's tiny, and would likely have been available in 7th, if not UDFA. DeValve wasn't on many draft boards at all from a tweet I read from a talking head. Like Caldwell, he would likely have been available in 7th, if not UDFA.

One thing that might be questioned, is the number of WRs we drafted. Frankly I love it. According to the roster list plus the draft, we have 13 WRs on the roster (including Gordon). Louis, I'm not sure what to think about him. I liked the Payton and Higgins picks a lot. My hunch is that Gabriel, Hall, Jennings, Hakim, and Moore are all gone, and a couple guys will hit the practice squad. That leaves a lot of inexperience at the position though.

I think we got better today, based on what I know about the players we drafted, what I read about the players, and the pressers. Only time will tell.

I'll follow up this post with another with the roster - I copied the official roster from the Browns site and added thee UDFAs, so we can all see the breakdown.

Just for giggles, I took a look at the NFL draft tracker and the NFL.com draft grades for our players. Does this carry a lot of weight? Probably not... But it is fun to look at. I compared all the players by position. The interesting thing is that when compared to other players of similar draft grade (no idea how accurate these grades end up being in reality...), we had several times that we reached significantly, but we also had several times that we got some great value. You might want to check it out if you are interested. I'm not going to post all the comparisons because we drafted so many players but here are some examples:

For instance, there were 4 QBs with a 5.4 grade including Kessler. We took Kessler at 93. The others went at 135, 139, 201. Quite a reach there.

Prescott, Dak QB 6'2" 226 Mississippi St. Pick 37, Round 4 (135) Cowboys 5.4

Allen, Brandon QB 6'1" 217 Arkansas Pick 26, Round 6 (201) Jaguars 5.4

Jones, Cardale QB 6'5" 253 Ohio St. Pick 41, Round 4 (139) Bills 5.4

Kessler, Cody QB 6'1" 220 USC Pick 31, Round 3 (93) Browns 5.4

For LBs with a 5.5 grade, there were 4 including Scooby. We got Scooby at 250, but the others went between 109 and 175. Nice value.

Wright III, Scooby ILB 6'0" 239 Arizona Pick 29, Round 7 (250) Browns 5.5

Goodson, B.J. OLB 6'1" 242 Clemson Pick 11, Round 4 (109) Giants 5.5

Brothers, Kentrell OLB 6'0" 245 Missouri Pick 23, Round 5 (160) Vikings 5.5

Brown, Jatavis OLB 5'11" 227 Akron Pick 38, Round 5 (175) Chargers 5.5

Offensive linemen with a grade of 5.8. Shon Coleman had a 5.8 rating and there are several others. We took Shon at 78. As you can see below, four of the other guys with a 5.8 went between 18 and 48 and then one went to the bengals at 161. Good value pick.

Garnett, Joshua OG 6'4" 312 Stanford Pick 28, Round 1 (28) 49ers 5.8

Kelly, Ryan C 6'4" 311 Alabama Pick 18, Round 1 (18) Colts 5.8

Ifedi, Germain OG 6'6" 324 Texas A&M Pick 32, Round 1 (31) Seahawks 5.8

Coleman, Shon OT 6'5" 307 Auburn Pick 13, Round 3 (76) Browns 5.8

Westerman, Christian OG 6'3" 298 Arizona State Pick 24, Round 5 (161) Bengals 5.8

Spriggs, Jason T 6'6" 301 Indiana Pick 17, Round 2 (48) Packers 5.8

I am not going to write that this was a great draft or that it was a terrible draft. That will be determined in 3 years. Anyone that says they know right now has an agenda.

Here is what I do know. The team has gotten younger and faster on both sides of the ball. Also, should have a better locker room with higher character players. An effort was made to improve the pass rush and receiver positions.

I see 3 Day 1 starters in 2016 -

Corey Coleman - A 2 time All American WR and the 2015 Biletnikoff winner for top receiver in college football. He was the 1st receiver taken in the draft with 4.3 speed. He will have to carry a huge load an expected to lead the receiver unit day 1.

Emmanuel Ogbah - Was 2nd in the country in sacks with 13. He had 29 sacks in his college career. Will start day 1 at DE/OLB. He will be expected to improve the teams pass rush.

Shon Coleman - A better run blocker than pass blocker at this time in his career. Should improve the push on the right side of the line. Will need tight end/running back chips to help him with pass rushers on passing downs.

4 More major contributors in 2016 - Possible starter in years 2 or 3.

Carl Nassib - College football sack leader in 2015 with 15.5. I do not see him as a 3 down player at this point of his career. He will need to improve his stregth to better play the run at the pro level but he will contribute on 3rd downs as a pass rusher.

Joe Schobert - Another player that needs to improve in the strength department and transition to ILB. But, I can see him being used as a situational pass rusher.

Ricardo Lewis - All I can say is YAC. Lewis has play making skills with the ball. Rushed for over 500 yards on end around and reverses in college. Needs to improve concentration to stay on the field.

Rashard Higgins - Colorado State' all time leader in receptions, Receiveing yards, and receiving touchdowns. I could see him winning the #2 receiver position as soon as mid season.

Back up players in 2016. Could develop into possible future starters.

Cody Kessler - Smart QB that came out of a pro style system. Will be the 3rD QB in 2016. Not ideal height or arm strength but knows how to read a defense and where the ball needs to be thrown.

Derrick Kindred - I see him as depth behind Ibraheim Campbell. Could be a stellar special teams player. Likes to hit. Because of that he will push Campbell and possibly beat him out in a year or two.

Seth DeValve - I a year or so I can see him possibly develop into receiving threat. At this time I think he will be the 3rd Tight End.

Jordan Payton - Good route runner with good hands. A possession receiver that I see playing behind Hartline in 2016. he could take over that role in a year or two.

Spencer Drango - A college tackle in a pass happy spread offense that will take time to develop as he transitions to an offensive guard in the NFL.

Trey Caldwell - A speedy small school corner that is not afraid to tackle. This pick reminds me of the Buster Skrine pick a few years ago. Except Caldwell will not get pushed into early action.

Scoobie Wright - Hard working over achiever that needs to make the team on special teams. Can play the run well in a phone booth. Will be a liability as a side line to side line inside linebacker.

Traded for Jamar Taylor- A CB with legit 4.3 speed. Maybe a change of scenery will do him some good. Maybe between him and Justin Gilbert one of them will start to live up to their potential.

I think the coaches and front office a serious about changing the culture starting with this high character draft class. At least 12 of the 14 players make the team in 2016.

It's always hard to judge guys you draft who led the nation
In such and such stats
Nate Orchard led the nation in sacks his senior yr.
He showed very little last year.
Guys that rack up impressive stats in college
Tend to reach their ceiling sooner than later.they peak
Too early.
But I like how the front office addressed the need for
More speed on both sides if the ball and guys that play with passion.

One thing's for sure ... If I'm Mingo, Kruger, Orchard, Solomon, Gabriel, Hawkins, Hartline, Pryor, Jennings, Bowie, etc ... I'm not feeling great about my job security

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Well said...and I do think that is how it is set. It's not like we weren't watching players. Scouts do their deal as usual. They pinpoint the players of interest. The stat crunching helps add to the list, kick players off the list and help decide the ranking of players.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

I'll start it for you naughtydevil

Overall I'm thrilled.

2 picks I HATE. I cannot stand WR's that can't catch a gosh damn football with their HANDS.

Louis can be CUT right now as far as I'm concerned.

And Kessler. What a JOKE.

We did 3 things I love. We made an attempt to FIX 3 things majorly wrong with this team offensively and defensively.

WR WEAPONS. Love Coleman, Payton and Higgins.
Front 3. Nothing's changing until this is addressed.
ALL 4 LB's.

And a huge + are the 2017 picks we got, along with the 2018 2nd rounder.

NOTE to Philadelphia. TRADE Bradford and start Daniels and then the Rookie!

I've never been any good at evaluating picks, especially not for this team. High picks we all thought would be good have sucked, and there have been a lot of surprises that were never drafted. I'm just hopeful the FO is finally right, and I actually get to see good, sustainable football for a while.

At least we got a guy named Scooby for the Dawg Pound.
