Working in the healthcare industry I see how blind sided families get with the expense of caring for their elderly loved one. Or how a cancer diagnosis can financially ruin a family. Being in it for almost 20 years sometimes I wish I didn't know what I know. It's scary how close anyone of us could be to being crushed financially from a diagnosis. Over 600,000 people a year go bankrupt because of healthcare costs.
I want universal healthcare not just for my own future but for my parents as they age, for my nieces and nephews and my brother and sister that struggle to pay the bills. Both educated but underemployed with crappy yet expensive benefits. In general I want it for my friends and neighbor's and the rest of my countrymen. We should all be able to live without the fear of an illness spiraling our financial lives out of control.
Call me a commie I guess.

Under Bernie's plan, people will still be without healthcare due to long waiting list.

It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!
