While I can't see me voting for Hillary either, IMO Trump is far too scary of an option. He has proposed giving both Japan and S. Korea nuclear weapons, possibly leaving NATO, which will leave our allies alone and vulnerable more than any time since WW2. When he just spouts off like that without thinking, you can hear the danger his ideas will place the world in.

I agree about the fact our world is far too politically correct, but there's a difference between PC and simply being rude.

I dislike career politicians as much as the next person, but when the other choice is even worse, that's the wrong kind of statement to make.

I've talked to what I call responsible Republicans on this very board. And what they described they stand for, Trump does not represent. And from everything I can tell, they are ready to sell their own beliefs down the river to support this baffoon.

If he's elected, the world we live in will be a much more dangerous place in which to live starting day one.

I don't know if you folks are aware of this but:

Scientists recently did an interesting brain study on the effects of the Right Side and the Left Side of a brain had on counting. They first took out the left side of Donald Trumps brain and asked the man to count to 10.

He said: 2,4,6,8,10

The put the left half back in and removed the right half and again, asked him to count to 10

He said: 1,3,5,7,9

Finally, they decided to just go for it and removed the whole brain. Then they asked Trump to count to 10 one more time.

He said: Look, I'm great at counting to 10 OK? I love numbers and I have the best numbers. No one has better numbers than I do. My 4th grade math teacher - and let me tell you, she was the best and smartest math teacher, said to me, that I am the best counter she's ever seen. THE BEST! So if you want me to count to 10, let me tell you I can count to 10 alright. that's no problem. I will do it, I will. And I will do it better than anyone has ever done it before, Ok?

And now you know the rest of the story

That wouldn't mean that their opinion is correct.

Anyone that thinks this is a money-making venture by him is whacked....although, as one of the wealthiest men to run, he's also spent the least of almost anyone to ever run, lol. Still, he has all the money he needs - he stands to gain little in that regard with this.

Still, I can't wait to see him win... just for the theatrics and all the people freaking out. It's going to be EPIC laugh
He can't be any worse than anyone that we've had in there for the last 24 years or so, so I'm looking forward to it. The people watching will be great smile

That's their problem to work out. Honestly, listen to what the man says, he's a freakin lunatic. And many people stand with him.

Look, Americans are frustrated over many items, but I promise you, Trump isn't the answer. He'll make it lots worse.

That thing I posted a few posts up is a joke of course, but read it, if you think about it, that's exactly what Trump does on every single subject he's questioned on.

You have grown so used to the PC, Bull crap speak of the typical Politician over the years, telling you what you want to hear and treading carefully on all things political, that the fresh air, speak your mind style of the Donald has scared you and others into filling your shorts.

Reminds me of the Right when Obama was closing in on the Presidency. The Truth usually lies somewhere in the middle of fear and hope.

Is that really any different (except perhaps semantically) from how any other politician answers any subject they are answered on?

Really sick if of the PC bs line you guys give.

You understand freedoms of speech works both ways right? I agree that we have a percentage of liberals that getting offended over anything, but let's not pretend as if conservatives are any better.

You guys cry about PC, when the reality is thatif you gett to say whatever you want, then so does the other side.

people not agreeing with you doesn't have anything to do with PC, and everything to do with people just think you're wrong.

For example: Ben Carson saying the nonsense about pyramids.

He has every right to say that. And I have every right to say he's an idiot.

What conservative cry about is the fact that you guys think you should be able to say anything you want, yet be FREE from criticism.

It's doesn't work that way. Stop hiding behind PC. It's a tired excuse.

I seriously think Trump's motivation to run for president stems from his desire to be in charge and be the boss. He has invested heavily in politicians over the years and did not like the return on his investments. I honestly think that he wants to change the US economy to his liking, rather that is greed driven or truly "Trump knows best" mentality that is driving him, I think that is why he is running. Nothing else really makes sense.

Trump has never been selfless. Trump doesn't need to make more money. Trump has a huge ego and he may want to leave a legacy BUT he has already built a legacy for his kids. Control is the only thing I can't rule out.

The really scary thing about Trump is that he is in no way prepared to lead this country as President. He may have a strong business background (that's questionable) but he is certainly not a diplomat. Trump has no political experience whatsoever, he does not show a true understanding of legislation or law. Trump shoots off his mouth without thinking or considering the ramifications of his words or actions... This guy is truly a loose cannon.

The interesting thing about his run for president is that he seems hell bent on changing things, but again the scary part is that we don't know how or what he will change. His speeches are all lip service to those in his audience and he changes direction like the wind. He says he wants to help vets, but also says he will privatize the VA and cut benefits which includes disability for Vets (entitlements, another code name for handouts).

In my opinion, veteran disability along with any other VA benefits were earned, they are not handouts and should be increased if anything. Privatizing is just code for letting a corporation profit from rationing benefits and cutting program cost. The federal government will still be funding everything with tax dollars.

So Trump is a true wildcard, nobody (not even Trump) knows what he would do in office. I'm not ready for that.

Hillary is predictable, but not really a better choice because the status quo is NOT WORKING FOR THE COMMON MAN EITHER.

The thing most people don't get is a Politician will tell you what you want to hear and pretend to be well versed in every subject put to them while the Businessman will be vague on every issue so as to not tie his hands or tip his stand when he enters negotiations.

Obama the Politician told the World what he would and would not do when it comes to the middle east where Trump will not tip his hand. Ask Trump if he would use Nukes and he will say "Hmmmmm." Ask him if he completely supports Israel over the Palestinians, he will reply, "Oh I don't choose sides." Those he confronts have no idea what his tactics will be, you must fear him and wish to talk nice and negotiate in good faith.

He has made a very successful career out of this approach.

Trump said he'd debate Bernie since Hillary is running and hiding. He said he'd do it if the network gave money to charity. Bernie replied, "game on".

This is a debate I'm wanting to watch.. most of them involving Trump turn into a name calling shouting match with no apparent value added.

So this could be fun to watch... thumbsup

Lying Ted, Crooked Hillary sound more like 5th grade playground taunts..

No meat to his debates,, just "I'll build a wall, the biggest wall that's ever been built, it will be the best ever, no other wall will be as good and I'll make Mexico pay for it"

As if nobody could possibly remember the great wall of China?

Seriously, this is the guy you want as President?

I'm not sure why you didn't address my points in the post in the first place? They were very clear.

Trump said he wishes to expand the nuclear footprint by giving S. Korea and Japan nukes. He has said he wishes to withdraw from NATO.

This would leave Europe at its weakest since WW2 and help the spread of nuclear weapons on a global scale. These are very dangerous and idiotic ideas.

Killing the families of terrorists will only embolden our enemies and create more terrorists. The man is off his rocker!

I believe Hillary is a terrible candidate. I will most likely find a third party candidate to vote for. But for sane individuals to excuse themselves into voting for Trump shows just how far they'll go to stand for an Republican instead of America.

Are you saying he was wrong in calling them what he called them? Is it 5th Grade when you call a thief a thief? I think the names fit.

As far as the "Wall" is concerned, who else was even making illegal immigration an issue before Trump started yelling about it?
He will build a wall, a big wall, the best wall. What more do you want to know? The color? How much meat do you require?

And, of course, he says he will get Mexico to pay for the danged thing! He has even told us how.

You do protest too much, me thinks your argument lacks meat to go with the tatters.

Yeah right..I'm sure it's ok with you and Trump and his supporters that our American soldiers will toil on the wall like slave laborers for a couple centuries to guard and maintain.

A wall is good as a bible on the battlefield. It can give you comfort but it just won't stop an enemy.

I don't believe he is wacko at all. I think he decided a while ago how he wanted to run this race, how he wanted to play the media, where he needed to be in order to attract the extreme right without totally alienating the more moderate right, etc and he has executed his plan extremely well.

As the general election begins, if he can soften a bit and wiggle back toward the middle to reassure some of those more moderate republicans that he is NOT a wacko, he has a good chance to win... and I would STILL rather vote for him than Hillary.

Just don't blame me when things turn to garbage around here.

By the way, I don't like Hillary any better. she's awful and I think would make a terrible president. JMO of course.

My reaction to this entire election is that we really don't have a decent choice.. Not even one.

You won't sway me.

I see things as already being garbage in this Nation and I think it will take someone like Trump to at least have a chance of turning it around.

I for one will give him a chance, in 4 years I will reevaluate.

Hey, don't take my dislike for Trump as me being pro hillary. NOTHING can be further from the truth..

That leaves me without a candidate to vote for that I even remotely like.

I joke around a lot about voting for Donald Duck or Bugs Bunny or something like that, but in reality, that's not the answer of course.

There is an extremely remote possibility that Trump would get my vote,,,,, VERY REMOTE and only because none of the alternatives are worth anything.

My problem is, is that all they all do is pander to one group or another.

Funny, the only candidate that isn't on the "take" and has always fought for the underdog (and today, we are all underdogs), is Sanders.. And his plan won't work.

So there you have it... WE the people of the United States of America are the losers in this mess..

No way around it.
