Our only shot a title going down the drain Wow, I consider myself a fairly pessimistic Cleveland fan, but come on man. Maybe a bit extreme but I would guarantee a win against OKC, but GS is better than us at just about every position. Plus they have home court. I'm a lot less optimistic. Especially when you look at HCA statistics in finals

I agree with Lead. Our only shot was hoping OKC closed that game out. GS is feeling good, hitting their shots, and they'll have the home court. I'm not liking our chances after tonight.

You guys are sad. GS barely beat OKC in 7 games. They are not so infallible.

A turnover happy, horrible shooting team pushed this team to 7.
Let's not act like we don't have a good chance of competing/beating them.

I just hope that Adams winds up and kicks Green in the balls like he's trying to break Matt Prater's FG record.

I was so conflicted tonight. I really want home court (and there's still a shot) but as much I wanted this to go to 7 games. I think we're in great shape however it ends up now. We have an excellent chance to either, play OKC with home court and rest, or steal game one from GS as we'll have more control of our travel, and again, rest/game planning.
Let GO CAVS!!!

I really think that the Cavaliers will beat whichever team they will face in the Finals. They started to get locked in in the 2nd half of of game 4 against Toronto, and game 5 and 6 were not even close in any way, shape, or form. I think that the Cavaliers are sick of hearing some people opine that they somehow weren't at a disadvantage last year when Love and Kyrie were both hurt. How ridiculous is that idea? If they play Golden State, especially, I think they will be locked in for every second of every game. They get this mindset against Golden State, or they get home court against OKC, and I think that they will also get a run down team no matter who they face. The Cavaliers will be fresh, and raring to go. I truly believe that they are in the right frame of mind. I can't wait to get this thing going!

klay was as clutch as anybody I can remember. just cold blooded.
OKC blew it with turnovers and dumb decisions ... KD and Russ are unbelievable talents who will never win it (at least together) because of their decision making
I desperately wanted OKC to win so we'd have home court advantage. I think we have a very slim chance to beat GS ... tough break for us

Its definitely an advantage that whoever we get is coming off a 7 game series. With only 2 days rest. That's like no rest at all considering the quick turn and immediate need to prep. I don't care what GS is, this is mentally draining. I still want OKC and HC, but if it's GS it'll be even sweeter being the team that takes revenge and shuts GS up. I'll call it NOW. We split in Oakland and WIN in SIX at HOME!

That was a disappointing finish to the game last night. The play that sticks out in my mind the most is partway through the 4th quarter, Klay Thompson jacking up that looooong 3 early in the shot clock, really an ill-advised shot but that dude was just hitting everyting. I think it made the game OKC 98, GS 94.
The Vegas odds for the Cavs before game 6 were 11/10. Now they are 17/10. This implies that the Cavs would be roughly 2/1 underdogs vs the Warriors and slight favorites vs the Thunder, which I think is about right.

IMHO the Cavs showed that the two home games they one were an anomaly by taking care of business on THEIR court just like they did at home. I watched OKC lose it in the stretch. It's not impossible for OKC to win on GSW's court but it won't be easy.
I actually like us playing GSW over OKC

If Green gets his next technical 4th and serves the one game suspension, what happens if he gets a 5th?

If Green gets his next technical 4th and serves the one game suspension, what happens if he gets a 5th? I think Green already has 5. I believe the rules go like this: --One game suspension after the 7th technical foul. --One game suspension for every other technical foul following the seventh. So....you get a pass on 8, but receive another 1-game suspension after 9. Pass on 10 and another 1-game suspension after 11. And so on........

Knowing that, I would have Lebron play iso on green a few plays a quarter.

I WANT Goldeilocks.
Beat whatever shows up. I see either opponent as a target of opportunity. We rest for a bit.
Home court is important, but not crucial/vital. Crush 'em. Going to the paint more got us here as well as 3 ball.

There are advantages and disadvantages to playing either team. Both series would be extremely difficult for the Cavs. I believe they are capable right now. They have a ton of work to do though.
I'd probably prefer OKC only because of the home court advantage, but how many of us cavs fans, after last year's finals when we didn't have our 2nd and 3rd best players, and the way this regular season went, wouldn't take this right now?

I can't find anything on this but I swear when Green kneed Adams in the groin it was auto suspension simply because it was #4 infraction.

Here is an excerpt from a longer article. It's old, so not sure if it still works that way, but it says the same thing I said earlier. League rules dictate that any player who reaches five technicals in the playoffs receives a warning letter from the league office, with a one-game suspension to follow the seventh technical and every other technical (9th, 11th, 13th, etc.) thereafter. http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2009/news/story?id=4229989

Here is one on flagrant fouls: Raptors' Bismack Biyombo faces suspension for flagrant foul limit play May 28, 2016 Ohm Youngmisuk TORONTO -- Raptors center Bismack Biyombo was handed a flagrant foul 1 after official review Friday night in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals for elbowing Cavaliers forward Kevin Love in the face on a rebound clear-out attempt. Biyombo now faces a one-game suspension for exceeding the postseason flagrant foul limit. With his fourth flagrant foul of the postseason, Biyombo has exceeded the playoff total of three points, which results in an automatic suspension, according to NBA rules. The foul occurred with 3:18 left in the first quarter, and the officiating crew called for it to be reviewed to see if it was flagrant. Joe Borgia, NBA senior vice president of replay and referee operations, said the foul was sent to review because it was considered "a hostile act" and the referees at the game might not have had the best position on the play to see the entire act. "We sort of teach officials, don't guess on plays," Borgia told NBA TV. "... Biyombo has got that elbow extended, he comes around and he makes significant contact to Love's face. So they elected to rule it a flagrant foul 1." In addition to grabbing a franchise playoff-record 26 rebounds in Game 3, Biyombo had a flagrant foul on LeBron James late in that Raptors' win. Biyombo was also assessed a flagrant 2 upon review from the league office after hitting Indiana Pacers forward Myles Turner in the neck early in the fourth quarter in Game 7 of the first round on May 1. http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2016/sto...n-flagrant-foul

It was his seventh tech of the playoffs, and the Cavs lost that game, Sheed would have been suspended for game 7.

Draymond Green is a flagrant away from being suspended a game. The nut shot to Steven Adams was upped to a flagrant two (with no suspension, only a fine), and he has a previous flagrant from the Houston series. You get 1 point for a flagrant-1 and 2 for a flagrant-2. If you exceed 3 points, you get suspended.
He also has 5 technical fouls, so it's possible he could get one there too.

I'm more worried about offensive fouls (moving screens) not being called.. they'll be called because Green now has a massive target on his back. he's even been playing like it. the league can only put up with it so much, especially since there's a national outrage about Green's style of play. and the Cavs BETTER attack that. they better go after green over and over and over again.
