If you're against males playing females in sport, you're against it, and against males using female restrooms. To say otherwise is about as "talking out of both sides of your mouth" as it comes.

Good thing we don't have to face East Germany in the Olympics anymore, huh?

Now we're becoming them.

We're not forcing women to become men, like they did. Ours are volunteers.

Speaking of the East German Olympic team ...

Erik's post reminded me of the movie "Top Secret".

Not really. You're acting like it happens every single time.

You guys are tripping about a rare occurrence. That's like busting a blood vessel over that African dude who tried to play off being 17 playing basketball when he was really like 30 something.

Is it really something to get worked up over? No, because it doesn't happen on an even remotely daily basis.

But if you guys wanna be outraged over everything, that's your right as an American. So it's whatever.

Does this mean that it's OK for girls to use testosterone steroids, now that they are at a competitive disadvantage?

It's a start of what's to come, which nullifies your "Oh, it rarely happens so let's chill on it" mindset. How do you think "trends" are started.

Liberals don't believe in the slippery slope unless you are talking about any kind of abortion regulation.. in those cases anything you say is an all out offensive on women's health and reproductive rights and will lead to the total banning of any and all abortions.. everything else is "an isolated incident"..

Yea.... Just like when they reported about the idiots trying to drink booze up their butts, that turned into a national trend, right?

Oh... No? Ok.

You are equating the gender identity issues facing our culture with butt-chugging? Really? That's where you went with that?

No, I'm equating "trends" as things that come and go.

You're seeing what you want to see. At this point we're going in circles.

"Alaska allows each school to decide whether to let boys compete in individual girls’ events. According to the Alaska Dispatch News, Wangyot’s district doesn’t even require boys to undergo hormone therapy before competing in girls’ events.

“For the purposes of gender identification for interscholastic activities, the district will consider the gender identity based on the student’s consistent declaration of gender identity, their actions, attitude, dress and mannerisms,” the policy states."

Probably not a one-off occurrence.

I honestly don't know if you're trying to be comical, if not, then I ask how you decided to pick that topic to use to validate your claims on this transgender topic, which has swept this country and is plaguing the news and social media?

You're comparing apples to an unknown substance undiscovered on the planet Mars, imo. Like I said, it's the beginning of what's to come, minus anyone trying to chug stuff from their rears lol.

to be honest, I think this is a pretty ridiculous thing to get upset about.

Does anyone think this person is going to be advantaged through their life, or that girls will somehow be disadvantaged because this boy has gender identity issues?

When this becomes an out of control trend, let me know.

Til then, chill out with your fake outrage as if you lose any sleep over it.

I think girls competing against this boy are at a disadvantage, in fact, I know they are. Females are 50-60% as strong as males in the upper body, and 60-70% as strong in their lower bodies, on average. Males just have greater muscle mass.

My comment was more of a bigger picture response. So what. So this person who will likely be ostracized throughout their lives won a race. I highly doubt this person is truly happy that they are a gender-confused person. Honestly it's probably the one time in their life they are going to feel really good about themselves, if they even do. That's what I was getting at. So they get a competitive advantage at a few races, big deal. Their identity / psychological condition will be a major hurdle for them throughout their life.

It's people thoughts like this that make it get out of control.
put a stop to it right now and it will not get to the out of control point.

Boys in girls sports is a big fat NO. and yes it is on the same principals as letting these transgenders use the female bathrooms. no difference at all.
If you are a guy and want to play sports stay a freaking guy. as soon as you cross over and want to be a girl you should not be allowed to play girl sports period.

To me this is right up there with the white woman who said she was African American to run the NAACP. she "identified as black" but look what happened there. no difference. she was born white and had to resign.

Doe this mean he can apply for scholarships that are meant for women only? better not be able to.

they all should be charged with false pretense.

So? A serial killer is probably feeling isolated and alone in their lives, but should we give them victims to keep them happy? The kid has an unfair advantage until he is well into hormone therapy. His happiness is his own problem. Should he get a trophy for being transsexual or something?

If your method of dealing with things is to wait until they become an out of control trend.. then that's on you. I would prefer we try to establish some sort of clarity up front.

No and no. Maybe I wasn't clear in my point. My point was I feel more sad about this kid than I do for the girls. The girls will be fine. This makes me feel sad, not angry.

Critics are scrutinizing mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor Fallon Fox, after the transgender fighter gave her opponent a concussion and broke her eye socket.

Fox defeated her opponent, Tamikka Brents, by TKO at 2:17 of the first round of their match. Brent’s eye injury resulted in a damaged orbital bone that required seven staples.

In a post-fight interview this week, Brents told Whoa TV, “I’ve never felt so overpowered ever in my life.”

“I’ve fought a lot of women and have never felt the strength that I felt in a fight as I did that night. I can’t answer whether it’s because she was born a man or not, because I’m not a doctor,” she stated. “I can only say, I’ve never felt so overpowered ever in my life, and I am an abnormally strong female in my own right. ”

Fox’s “grip was different,” Brents added. “I could usually move around in the clinch against…females but couldn’t move at all in Fox’s clinch.”

A video (below) of the fight shows Fox throwing several powerful knees to the face and torso of Brents at the start of the match, who pulled guard to protect herself. Then, Brents turns to avoid damage, where she then took about 45 seconds of elbow and fist strikes before the fight was stopped by the referee.

This is not the first time Fox’s gender controversy has been criticized.

In 2013, after a 39-second knockout victory, Fox’s fifth straight first-round victory, it was revealed that Fox had not told the MMA community about her sex-change operation, which took place in 2006.

Equality or nah?

There has to be a line somewhere, somebody's going to get killed. On a related note, years ago, a local girl went to the Ohio Supreme Court to be able to wrestle in HS. She didn't win a match, but now girls are wrestling in Ohio. It's not all that uncommon for wrestlers to stand there with an erection after facing a female. The taunting after losing to a female is terrible also.

Outrage? I'm just saying it's a start of what's to come lol. It's you liberals who can't stomach those sorta comments. And I totally understand that lol. Look at how it's going now dude, are you blind to reality?

Target mess, now that's "outrage". That dude who turned girl, got their own freaking TV show and then wants to be a man again. Transgender this, transgender that.

It's already starting, if only the liberal open their eyeballs a little. Won't be long before another founding father within currency is replaced by a gay pride leader or something of that nature so the world can adapt, adopt and forcefully try to accept things they may, or may not, agree with.

The world is trying to evolve too rapidly and the roots of our very own existence is becoming absolute to pave way for it. Change is good, but there's a flip side to everything. We're moving too fast imo.

I thought your point was, 'it might be the only time this kid feels good about himself in his life'. Happiness is where you find it, for anyone. I don't know if there should be trans sporting events or not, but as a genetic male, he was born with significantly more muscle mass, and has an unfair advantage. If you have a daughter playing softball, would you want her going up against a trans catcher with the throw coming into the plate? I think a girl would get crushed in that exchange. There was a girl who played in my son's football team for 4 years. She had to quit when they were both of age for the 125lb league, as she was 40lbs underweight and would have been crushed. That girl was one of the best cut blockers and tacklers on the team before that.

Personally I don't get MMA. I don't understand why anyone would want to subject themselves to that. Hard for me to comment on this as MMA in general is in conflict with my sensibilities.

Well, that's certainly not fair. I mean, really, a person should just be allowed to "identify" as an opposite sex. Mandating "consistent declarations of identity, their actions (that's sexist right there), attitude, dress, and mannerisms?

Not fair. No one should have to bow down to those requirements.

2 other comments I have.

No one complains about girls playing boys sports. (high school: take wrestling, for soccer, for example). If a school doesn't have an equivalent "girls" sport, a female is allowed to be on the mens/boys team. No complaints, right? Why? The female is still at a disadvantage, physically, in most cases.

We have a girl on our soccer team that lives in a neighboring district. She open enrolled here for 1 simple reason: We have girls soccer. At her "home" school, they only have boys soccer. She played her first year for her home team. With the boys. She's a good soccer player. She (and her parents) decided to open enroll her here, even though her siblings attend the other school - because of girls soccer here, and not there.

My niece just got 4th in the 400 in the girls state track meet. Ran a personal best. Another person in the state track meet from our school ran the 400 in the boys meet. He beat my niece by 9 seconds in comparing times, and he placed well below 4th.

Would it be right to have allowed him to run in the girls meet? Just because he identified as a female? (he doesn't, by the way).

So now this is a conservative liberal issue, LB?

Jesus. For people saying all this about liberals, some of y'all need to look in the mirror.

This is a matter of the country as a whole. It effects everyone, regardless of your political views. It's just mainly liberals fuel the fire until it becomes uncontrollable. I'm all about equality, I really am, but we're moving too fast here (as I said before) as we're trying to please a minority while we're technically pissing off the majority. I'm sure there would've been better ways to ease into all this transgender stuff, where Americans have a chance to collect their thoughts and put thought in.

Idk, it's a long day and maybe I'm just grumpy haha. laugh

Moving too fast? You know that was an excuse back in the civil rights movement, right?

"Well we're just not ready to treat you as equals yet".

Ok bro. You got it. I'll just now out of this thread.

I think it's just stupid. I mean seriously. You can feel whatever the hell you want to but if you have balls then your a boy and if you don't then your a girl. The only ones allowed sympathy for confusion is those born physically with both. I mean you look at any animal and you KNOW what sex it is. It's not confusing or hard. It's not complicated. Last I checked humans are also animals. So scientifically speaking it should be easy to write and establish laws that reflect that. If 1000 people out of 300 million are still confused or just plain ole perverted then let them just deal with it. Life was never meant to be 100% fair and you just don't get everything you want just because you want it.

Time people went back to having some freaking common sense and stop making everyone else suffer from their idiocy.

You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

I do not understand why women rights groups are not totally up in arms about these issues. It seems to me that it is w omens rights that are really getting trampled on with all of this transgender rights.

These transgender men want to identify as a woman and use their restrooms, locker rooms, etc... Why would a women's rights group not stand up for women and young girls who they should be representing and saying NO!!! The privacy of women must be protected.

Now you are seeing transgender men and boys taking athletic opportunities from girls and women. Women fought hard for title 9 and now seem like they are willing to just give it away for transgender movement.

It does not make sense to me.
