I hate the fact that if we do pull this miracle off it will be tarnished by the calls that we needed the league's help. On the other hand, they have to do SOMETHIng about that guy's play. I just wish it had been done on the OKC series when the aggregious activities took place. Now it just looks like sour grapes on our side.
Having said that, let's use this to our advantage and win tomorrow night! No one will remember this on Monday June 20th if we pull it off.
I say it's comeuppance. The players need to be demonstrated that this low class of play needs to stop. If Draymond Green didn't want suspended he should stop trying to mess with dudes groins.
We didn't suspend him, he got himself suspended. Why would that then be sour grapes on our part?
If the league called the games fair, how many free throws would Lebron get? Why then would it be considered that we needed the refs to pull of a miracle? A foul is a foul, I'm surprised Lebron can feel his arms after a game.
The NBA didn't take Game 5 from him, he lost it by his behavior.
I deleted the web browser from one of my kids phones for their misuse of it and this person had the gall to say, you took that from me.
To which I responded, no, you lost it by your behavior.
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...
2 points that get lost in the discussion. Not necessarily on here but in the media and sportstalk radio.
1, is small but affects the perception significantly. I frequently hear people say that LeBron instigated it and got away with it. But the league did assess him a technical foul
2, Most feel Draymond didn't deserve to be suspended for that play. But he didn't get suspended for THAT play. That play just turned out to be the one that pushed him over the line. He is being suspended for a repeated pattern of plays that is dangerous and unacceptable. Someone above mentioned that he should have been suspended in the OKC series. The NBA gave him a reprieve my changing the call of that flagrant foul. They gave him one more chance and he blew it.
I personally think that LeBron was just trying to step over him to get out of the way. But regardless whether my perception or Draymond's perception that LeBron was disrespecting is true, there is no excuse for his behavior (If you re-watch, before the groin swap he makes a veiled "accidental" kick attempt) and if I remember right he threw his arm out in an attempt to hit LeBron - I'd have to re-watch to confirm). The league needs to have a sit down with Draymond after the season with some serious talk about his play and attitude, how this stuff is unacceptable, and what the serious repercussions will be next season.
The difference between Jesus and religion Religion mocks you for having dirty feet Jesus gets down on his knees and washes them
I disagree with you about Lebron trying to just get out of the way when he stepped over him. IMO it was a display of Lebron trying to project his dominance. Like him saying through an action: "Yeah, you're on the winning team, but I'm still the alpha of the league."
IMO he did it with a clear message.
BUT I also agree with you: regardless of if it was done on purpose or accidentally, Draymond's reaction was over the line and warranted a suspension (especially given his prior actions)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
I'm glad the league did the right thing, but i think they were forced into it to prevent cries of favortism, and rightfully so, they've treated Green with kid gloves all post season, he should have been suspended 3 games by now to include game 1 against us. The more this series goes on, the more disdain i have for GS, they are a bunch of whiny, pretentious pricks and I can't stand a single one. Thompson basically questioning lebron as a man, to Greens antics, and Curry with his constant smug look. The worst thing, atleast for me, is we can't do anything about it because we aren't good enough. If this was the old NBA, GS doesn't get out of round 1, simply because they wouldn't have enough players healthy..lol.
I don't think it will matter much and GS will close it out tonight, but I hope they atleast go down with a fight, if they atleast try who knows, maybe they'll catch a lucky break.. Its really depending on who decides to show up.

Honestly I wish this suspension happened against the thunder.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
The suspension should have happened under the Thunder. This just makes it look like the NBA is doing all it can to make this thing go 7. The NBA will probably give the refs extra large whistles for tonights game and game 6 too. Don't want the refs to misplace them you know.
If I'm LeBron tonight, I'm driving to the lane, with emphasis..
Force the refs to call something.
Keep doing it over and over.
If they call it, great, if not? Go down with a blazing glory, and a highlight reel of non calls to shove on everyone's face..
If LeBron did this tonight, it would somewhat upset me even if the Cavs win. Why can't he just play like this from the get go? Why has he kicked the ball out every single time he's had a shorter guy on him this entire series? Why can't he just play like a man possessed all the time in his bid to bring Cleveland a championship?
I don't get the guy. At all. I am convinced that if LeBron played like he's capable of playing, the Cavs win this series.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
come on kev...you don't say that about your boy in the finals. at least way until the off season. you don't see the warriors saying that about green regardless of what he does.

I wouldnt be upset, we need to get tougher..Kevin is a cream puff, he's a 6'10 SG

I'm almost mad at myself for getting nervouse about this game. I really thought that I could shut it down and just expect them to lose...<sigh> I guess I'm too much of a Cleveland sports fan for that...

Unless he grew since the combine. He was 6'9" with shoes, 6'7" without.
Was he wearing heals? No way a pair of sneakers adds 2 inches.
Quote:
Kevin Love measured out reasonably well—6-9 ½ in shoes (6-7 ¾ without), with a 6-11 ¼ wingspan and an 8-10 standing reach. His body fat is still very high at 12.9%, but in the combine he jumped 35 inches, lifted the 185 bar 18 times, and ran very well (11.17, 3.22)

Don't really care about his size, but he is absolutely one of the softest players I have seen. I predicted we would win because GS are a bunch of mental midgets and exactly the opposite is the case...
He can't play like that because the Warriors are defending him with three guys every time he gets the ball.
This isn't true for starters. Secondly, a player of LeBron's caliber should know ways to deal with this if and when it does occur in the games. Not holding the ball is one of the ways. Being decisive when you get the ball in your hands is one of those ways. Taking and making turnaround jumpers when you have someone who is 4"+ shorter than you guarding you in the post is one of those ways.
I don't know. Maybe I'm holding LeBron to too high a standard.

I don't agree that Love is soft physically. The guy is a premier rebounder for his size. However, mentally, he appears to let a lot of things bother him. And his offensive game is "clunky". You never see Love make a shot in the post because of fundamental footwork. Everything seems forced and chaotic.
At this stage, two years in, and seeing what the Cavs need to beat GS, the Cavs would have been better off keeping Wiggins. Then you have Kyrie and Wiggins to take the reigns when LeBron is done. Hindsight is 20/20, and I would have made the trade for Love, but it looks like Wiggins would be a nice fit here right now.

I think green is a punk. At times, you can just ignore a punk. But at times, it might behoove an opponent to take green's attitude/philosophy, and just nail someone in the batteries.
I wonder what would happen if, say, tonight, some scrub got put in the game for just a few minutes to ....I don't know, maybe check if Curry has balls?
Maybe throw a nasty elbow at someone's jaw?
If it's good for green, it ought to be good for others, right?
I hope teams are watching him, and next year give him a dose of his own medicine.

It is totally true. When LeBron has a pick set for him two Warriors stay with him, if he gets past them there is a man waiting for him at the rim.

Great game plan Lue, even better execution. Don't worry you can lay an egg and there's still game 6 to get it right. Oh wait

We have to be the worst defensive team at defending screens and pnr. We know it's coming and we stand there
