So, honestly I don't get all the hate over this issue.

There are other issues that I think hate for Obama comes into play perfectly, this just isn't one of them.

WOOHOO we get to disagree again smile

LOL

Which part don't you agree with?

The war thing?

That W left us in a mess?

Or that Obama had to spend a bunch of money digging out from under the mess that W left us in?

Defense spending over the years Percentage of GDP

Obama has managed to almost double our nation debt despite the fact that he has cut our military expenses way down.

Well yeah, he had to cut spending down on war.. it was a poor plan. I never said that war spending wasn't down, I said that he had to spend a bunch of money digging us out of the W adminstrations mess.

War spending is down. As you can plainly see from the chart.. It went up under Bush (and with good reason) and that part is fact, but I'm not sure you can support that opinion of yours with projected numbers.. Not sure that's proving anything.

Now, if you want to hit me up with his spent too much on programs like the Affordable Heathcare Act, we'll agree for sure. That was a costly mess.. Could have been done for almost nothing.

But no, let's make it complicated. Obama just blew that badly.,

I did at the very beginning but no longer...though I have wondered what kind of falling out he had with the Clinton's to make him go nuclear on them both.

No why would you ask? and exactly what was their much concern over? Maybe its the same as my Jewish relatives.

I'll just get this out of the way now Rocket...I'm for a pro nationalist platform..and understand the similarities to the Nazi comparisons but my Jewish family is so far left that I dont much care about their grave concerns pertaining to Trump.

But you have always been civil to me and I respect what you have to say about it...so I'll entertain your question and be civil with you...even though I see where I think your heading with this.

I truly hate Hitler comparisons to any person. Yet, I got thinking after meeting these two people, and then going through the Holocaust museum.

Nationalism, patriotism towards ones own country, ain't that bad. What gets screwed up is when we're founded as a land for all, but we let fear dictate us into accepting damaging policies towards minorities.

Look, I hear you I really do...hell at 1 point in the not to distant past I would probably agree with more then I would have disagreed with you on this...but can you explain to me how what Trump wants to do is damaging to minorities that are here legally?

Where else in the world could I go illegally and get the benefits and protections the US offers? Heck Rocket one half of my family came here as immigrants and I still feel we should not accept illegals...now I do think the process should be reworked but thats hear nor there.

Who immigrated into the country, and wiped out a considerable amount of the native population?

Not trying to start a guilt thing going, but truly think on how our country was founded before going off on undocumented individuals in America.

This nationalist bent brings out white supremacists, and other similar groups. Many of these groups don't care for anyone other than Caucasians, while they ignore the fact one of their ancient relatives used to have a darerk skin complexion...., and Trump's giving them a rallying post (not sure if it's intended or not) with countless inflammatory statements. I don't think he truly realizes the scope of impact his statements have. I'm well aware he's saying these ridiculous statements to get support, but I don't think he notices the damage they cause.

Wiemar Germany faced many more challenges than we do right now, and I doubt that Trump could morph into Hitler, or even win a general election in this country. Regardless, much of the same rhetoric gets shared by both men.

Replace Jews with all minority groups, and you have the campaign rhetoric of Trump 2016.

Youre not going to quote the saying off of the Statue of Liberty are you...IDK man its how civilizations was/are built someone has to lose and have their land taken over. Not saying it was/is right but thats life. I believe we need to preserve our way of life and if that means being more picky about who we are letting in then so be it.

It also harms me financially to not think in globalist ways/terms but man the line in the sand has been drawn and maybe I'm clinging to an outdated philosophy but its one I believe in.

If I'm wrong so be it...but I wont be apologizing to anyone on why or how I feel about it.

I'm no 88'r but I feel like what he is saying is almost spot on...and about time someone running has the backbone to say so. Its no more inflammatory then what LaRaza or BLM folks say...and I think its well over do someone puts Americans first...instead of the elitist global agenda.

Ummm, all whites a little, rich whites a lot! A poor white guy is not rolling in white privilege, an edge with the police maybe (depending on how you look and act) and possible some education and or financial breaks (but bad credit doesn't see color).

I think Hillary truly does realize the scope of impact her lies have. I am well aware she is saying these ridiculous statements to get support, and she knows damn well the damage they cause. She just doesn't care. In her mind megalomaniac mind.

LMAO She respects nobody but herself. She doesn't care if your white, black, brown, yellow, or red. She disrespects every color, race, and creed.

Megalomania is a psychopathological condition characterized by fantasies of power, relevance, omnipotence, and by inflated self-esteem. Historically it was used as a name for narcissistic personality disorder prior to the latter's first use by Heinz Kohut in 1968, and is used today as a colloquial equivalent.

Going in to this election I wasn't thrilled with any of the options. The more I hear and read the less I like all the candidates. I am starting to take a serious look at the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. He is socially liberal and fiscally conservative. This is my general bent. He is a little too socially liberal for me because I think that sometimes you need to protect people from themselves. But compared to Trump and Clinton, he's the only one that doesn't make me want to throw up just thinking about them getting elected POTUS.

I realize that his chances are small and some will consider this a wasted vote. However, if we are afraid to vote for the underdog then he has no chance to win just because he is the underdog. Plus, I cannot in good conscious cast a vote for either Trump or Clinton.

Here's a small blurb about him:

Governor Johnson, who has been referred to as the ‘most fiscally conservative Governor’ in the country, was the Republican Governor of New Mexico from 1994-2003.

A successful businessman before running for Governor of New Mexico in 1994, Gary Johnson started a door-to-door handyman business to help pay his way through college. Twenty years later, he had grown that business into one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico, with more than 1,000 employees.

Not surprisingly, Governor Johnson brings a distinctly business-like mentality to governing, believing that public policy decisions should be based on costs and benefits rather than strict ideology. Johnson is best known for his veto record, having vetoed more than 750 bills during his time in office — more than all other governors combined. His use of the veto pen has since earned him the nickname “Governor Veto.” He cut taxes 14 times while never raising them. When he left office, New Mexico was one of only four states in the country with a balanced budget.

Term-limited, Johnson retired from public office in 2003.

For some he will be viable...but for me his VP pick is a gun grabber so that alone will be a no go for me...the orange Jesus is who I'm voting for.

Plus when I read this its a no go...but maybe the bernout voters will go that way.

I'll catch crap for this but for the first time since I voted for slick willy I'm fully comfortable with who I'm voting for. Swish I havent had that feeling in many years.

I cant explain it...cause I didnt really like Trump until I started reading up on him and I've attended numerous rallies. If I'm wrong about him so be it but after voting Romney and McCain I'm strangely ok with Trump.

Call him what you like but that carnival barkers message resonates to me...100% no but enough I'll have no reservations voting for him.

But I like being labeled uninformed racist...I dont try to tell anyone who to vote for and normally wouldnt discuss such things in the open...but here I am on a message board so...

But yes I can not vote for Hillary or the socialist Bern.
