Don't worry about me, I've learned to fist pump in private. I made the mistake once and fist pumped at home about being right about something, my wife fired back 10 things I was wrong about. Did she go back in time bringing up stuff? Of course but there is no statute of limitations on being wrong and you're wife knowing about it.

Sounds like my parents. I come home for the summer, and I feel like I may have "out smarted" them in whatever we're talking about; instead, I get told about all the times I made dumb decisions.

Since I'm voting for Gary Johnson, that old crap is old, homey Good for you, I'm seriously considering that myself. I credit Tulsa with that move Oh don't do that. You know how he gets when you give him credit or tell him he was right about something. Good to see the (L) party gaining some traction finally. For me this is the best possible outcome of these candidates.

I have a hard time taking a party serious that rolls out the "the Civil Rights Act should've never been passed" idea. We'd still have states embracing segregation now if that would've happened.

I doubt you'll find many libertarians pushing that idea currently.

If that's all that's holding you back perhaps you may want to actually take an unbiased look at what it is they are saying and their premise before you settle on a conclusion based upon unsupported assumptions. There's an actual legal argument they are making and it's not that one group is inferior to another like people automatically think. Voleur tried to discuss this not too long ago. It didn't go over well because it requires participants to be able to recognize the nuances of the argument and have a grasp of Constitutional philosophy and purpose.

Cause/effect. Because we all have free access to guns, people will die every single day from guns.
Deal with it, America. Own it. Accept it. Because you made it.
It's not a 'problem.' It's not a 'symptom of a disease.' It's a natural consequence of the choices we have made.
I will tell you of my thoughts on choices we have made... We have so many Americans killed on the roads these days in automobile accidents it is terrible. We need to increase 10 fold the insurance costs for race cars on the road, perhaps that would eliminate much of the poor choices people make in vehicles. A race car is defined as any "Sleek Looking Vehicle", one with a pointed front or wedge design. A vehicle that makes more noise from its exhaust system than the typical family sedan. By raising insurance costs or by making race cars completely illegal, they would be off the roads which most of us travel, making us all safer. It is a choice we should make for our safety and to eliminate the threat to our families. We can easily make the choice to write our elected officials and push them to introduce this "Anti Assault Vehicle" legislation. I thank you for your time.

Or just better drivers training like they have in Germany.
But I understand your linear mind can only think in one direction.

Or stop selling liquor in restaurants and other public venues to people who are getting behind a wheel. Maybe we should create a no drive list.

Maybe we should create a no drive list. you're forgetting the part where all it takes is someone on the road reporting your bad driving to the cops with no proof you're a bad driver. also the part where the DMV doesn't tell you that you are on the no drive list. also the part where the process to get off that list is secret, expensive to fight, and may take months or years

It doesn't count as getting got if you have to make up stuff that doesn't really have anything to do with what I posted lol The only time I've seen "How's My Driving?" stickers is on company cars. In the interest of good business practices they want to know how their employees are driving. And the only similar stickers I've seen on personal cars reads: "Don't Like My Driving? Call 1-800-EAT-S**T" I've never called it, but if I did I seriously doubt I'll get the most helpful DMV employee

There's a lot of factors that go into that stats too.
Devil has probably seen way too many people driving who are just too fatigued to be on the road, for example.
That's why I'm interested to see how these self driving cars progress. Tesla and Audi is killing it right now. Then you got this tech in some cars where it parallel parks for you.
There's obvious issues with that, naturally, but it could potentially lower the accident rates.

Also, I think some of the ways our streets are designed, along with some regulations cause accidents as well.
Like, roundabouts are easier to navigate in non major intersections and such. I think there's also ways to lower the traffic jams, even though it's typically always some idiot who causes it.

That's way too many people dying and getting injured to not be legislating change, governors on all cars limiting top end speed to 30mph would be a good start. Breathalyzer's hooked to every ignition switch, no cars on the streets past dark.

Oh... I see what's going on.
We're comparing accidents to intentional shootings. I'll just see my way out now

There are anti Christian/western world haters who want nothing more than to see us burn slowly, and yall talking about accidents and taking away guns? How about we talk about suppressing the root problem, Islamic terrorism and mental instability. Just a thought carry on.

Also seen too many dumbasses too. I'm curious with these self driving cars, when there is a collision, who pays the damages? Seems to me that if you aren't behind the wheel, you can't be at fault for causing a wreck. Will Tesla cover the damage? Will Google if you are using their grid?

By raising insurance costs or by making race cars completely illegal Already done. Race cars are completely illegal in all 50 states I believe your're talking about street rods, legal sports cars or super cars. Insurance rates for them are already through the roof and you rarely hear about these mega buck machines being involved in fatal accidents. Owning a AR-15 is like owning a Formula 1 race car. Neither should be legal on the street.

Seems to me that if you aren't behind the wheel, you can't be at fault for causing a wreck. Will Tesla cover the damage? Will Google if you are using their grid? That's an excellent question. So what I was thinking is that these car companies and Google will have to attach their brand directly to an insurance company like geico, or create one themselves. However, I'd say they shouldn't be allowed to create their own and go through geico or progressive. Why? It allows someone like progressive to act as an independent investigator. That way when Google and, say tesla send the data in, they can't fudge the stats if their cars were the ones who caused the fault. I dunno if I explained that well.

We already have a no drive list, it's anybody without a license. If you are denied the privilege of driving for some reason, you know it because they take your license and you know exactly WHY they took your license and you have the ability to fight it and appeal it in court. Nobody really knows how, if, or when a name goes on the no fly list.

You should report them to the government! Why, Who? I haven't seen or heard of any lunatics driving a Formula 1 on the street.

You should report them to the government! Why, Who? I haven't seen or heard of any lunatics driving a Formula 1 on the street. Doesn't have to be Formula 1. There is absolutely no need for any car to go over 70 mph. The purpose of a car is to get you from point A to point B at or below the posted speed limit. Anything faster than that should be made illegal unless it is owned and operated by trained personnel... we can't have that kind of power in the hands of untrained people.

"Race cars" Your words. And race cars aren't legal, none of them.
Now, all states require drivers training and are tested with a written test and a driving test. And you do know some states have higher speed limits then 70 mph right?

Where did I say "race cars"? And race cars aren't legal, none of them. I had a Dodge Charger and a Chevy Camaro go past me the other night on Rt 401 outside of Raleigh at about 100-120 mph.. pretty sure they were racing. You are using the term "race car" to mean something specific, like they try to use the term "assault rifle"... to loosely define as something more powerful than you think somebody should own and use in public. Now, all states require drivers training and are tested with a written test and a driving test. Yep, you have to drive around the block, maybe through a parking lot, then take a written test about road signs and how many points you get if you pass a stopped school bus. It's brutal, I don't know how anybody passes. It sure seems to be a great method for keeping lunatics off the streets though. And you do know some states have higher speed limits then 70 mph right? Fine, make it 75, make it 80.. cars should still have governors that kick in at that point. It's all about safety.

Otherwise they are assault cars! They look fast, go scary fast, and no one but a lunatic needs to drive 80. Yep, assault cars. I "Feel" we should ban them all.

You don't need them to get to work or to get the kids to soccer or to get the groceries home. You don't need them to haul a refrigerator or get lumber home from Lowes or to get somewhere in bad weather.. They really serve no purpose other than to allow you to feel like some kind of cowboy that can go 120 mph if you want to, which is already illegal unless you are on a specially designated track.. and they kill thousands of people a year.. simple logic says they should be outlawed.

You and 40 are the ones playing word games. You guys know what a professional race car is. And none of them are legal on the streets. When I see someone driving like a lunatic I report them. And when I see someone handling guns like a lunatic I report them as well.

You and 40 are the ones playing word games. You guys know what a professional race car is. Yea, I know what a professional race car looks like, it has a number painted on it. A Porsche 911 GT3 RS is perfectly street legal and will go over 190 mph.. That's about 15 mph shy of your average NASCAR racer... The Jaguar F-Type R will go 186 mph, also perfectly legal to take Sally to her soccer game. The Dodge Challenger Hellcat tops out at 199 and you can get one for about $65K... Know what special training you need to buy, own, and drive one of these on the streets? The same kind grandma needs to drive her Prius. And to make 40s point from before, the Ducati 1098S crotch rocket motorcycle will go 170 mph... So, word games aside, tell me why an average Joe driver should be allowed to own and operate these on the same city streets the rest of us drive..
