Nah, nothing inappropriate here. Attorney Generals always meet privately with the powerful spouses of people under criminal investigation ....... Bill says that he saw the plane and "just wanted to say "hello". I am sure that we can trust a guy like Bill Clinton, with his amazing record of always telling the whole, complete, and absolute truth ...... It's pretty bad when even CBS and CNN start reporting this stuff. MSNBC leads with a story about a Trump supporter mocking Elizabeth Warren. That's hard hitting investigative reporting there. I wonder how many other AGs would have said "Tell him to go back. I can't speak with him with his wife under investigation", or simply locked the doors of the plane so he could not board? I cannot imagine that too many AGs, or even just prosecutors, would allow anything that would even give the impression of impropriety. This goes way beyond the impression of such. Bill Clinton, AG Loretta Lynch meet on tarmac in Phoenix - CBS News http://www.cbsnews.com/news/president-bill-clinton-loretta-lynch-meet-on-tarmac-in-phoenix/Last Updated Jun 29, 2016 10:03 PM EDT As his wife is under federal investigation for her use of a private email server, former President Bill Clinton met privately with U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix Airport Monday evening in what both sides say was an unplanned encounter. An aide to Bill Clinton confirmed to CBS News that the meeting wasn't planned in advance: President Clinton saw the attorney general on the tarmac and wanted to say hello, so he boarded her plane to talk. The meeting comes as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is still under investigation for her email practices--and also came the day before House Republicans released a report criticizing the Obama administration's response to the 2012 Benghazi attacks. Lynch told reporters that the topics of Benghazi and Clinton's email server did not come up, and that she and Clinton spoke largely about his grandchildren, golf and travel. "Actually, while I was landing at the airport, I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as I was leaving, and he spoke to myself and my husband on the plane," she said. "Our conversation was a great deal about his grandchildren. It was primarily social and about our travels. He mentioned the golf he played in Phoenix, and he mentioned travels he'd had in West Virginia." "There was no discussion of any matter pending for the department or any matter pending for any other body," Lynch added. "There was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of the State Department emails, by way of example." Asked further whether there was any "impropriety" to meeting with Clinton while the email investigation is ongoing, Lynch replied merely that the case is being handled by "career investigators and career agents." "My agency is involved in a matter looking at State Department policies and issues," she said. "It's being handled by career investigators and career agents. It will always follow the facts and the law and do the same independent and thorough investigation that they've done in all." Regardless of Lynch's downplaying of the conversation, CBS News Justice reporter Paul Reid called it "shocking, absolutely shocking." "The most high-profile national security investigation under the attorney general is the investigation into whether or not classified information was mishandled in connection with Hillary Clinton's server," Reid told CBSN. "Now, President Clinton and his foundation are also tangentially involved in that investigation, so the appearance of impropriety is just stunning." Reid also noted that the explanation that it wasn't a scheduled meeting is unlikely to quiet critics. "Loretta Lynch is no shrinking violet. This is a tough lady," Reid said. "She's stood up to El Chapo, she has taken on FIFA -- she is not incapable to telling someone, 'Look, you can't come on my plane' or 'Look, I don't want to talk to you.' The optics of this for the investigation going forward are horrible." "It will definitely be fuel for those who do not believe this is an objective investigation," Reid added. CBS News' Hannah Fraser-Chanpong and Paula Reid contributed to this story.

An unplanned encounter, at the Phoenix Airport when both live on the other side of the country. What a coincidence.

Who cares.
Y'all don't have a problem with the fact that most business deals happen at a golf course or at a bar, so why complain about this?

If the big wigs of GE and Bechtel want to get together to discuss business on the golf course, they can have at it.. it's PRIVATE business... but this is the law, where there are supposed to be certain rules that are supposed to apply to everybody. You complain constantly about rich and powerful people (especially rich white people) getting all kinds of favors and getting special treatment before the law... then when it very well might be happening right in front of your eyes, you take the "who cares" approach? That seems odd to me.

I doubt that they would be saying "Move along, nothing to see here".

That seems odd to me. Exactly. Who cares? Are you there? Did you know what went down? Don't political leaders meet and greet all the time? And at the end of the day, did they do anything wrong? Was there a law they violated? And what can ANY of us do except be mad? That's right, nothing. You're upset that you THINK they did something wrong in broad daylight. Because doing it behind our backs is somehow more noble? Fake outraged posters are faking it.

Politicians make deals all the time, you're correct.
However, in this case, laws were very probably broken. The "deal" making here is probably yet another broken law.

So you're outraged over the fact that they "probably" broke the law in broad daylight, but not outraged that politicians since the dawn of time have "probably" broken the law behind our backs. Man, every time you see the name Clinton, you act like he stole your ex girlfriend or something. Hell, knowing him, he "probably" did.

It's cute how some of you think that business and government are different . Law? No such meaning for the ruling class as they decide what is and isn't " law " or when they will choose to follow it . Trump should take lessons on how a real lifelong political player can play the game . He is and always has been out of his depth when it comes to dealing with players in the big leagues . The Clinton Machine indeed 👍🏻

First, I'm not outraged. I expect slick willy to cheat the system. (hey, what's the definition of "is"?)
Secondly, the people I have dated wouldn't ever have anything to do with a serial cheater and liar like him - ESPECIALLY my wife.
But yeah, knowing the clintons, the conversation slick willy had with her was totally about "prosecute my wife, lose your job. Maybe even your life."
And yeah, it bugs me that politicians break the law. If it doesn't bother you, that is your problem.
Here's how it will go down: no definitive proof. Yet again. If there's one thing the clintons do well, it's "cover your butt, first and foremost. If you can't cover your butt, have the person "commit" suicide. Wash, rinse, repeat, but don't forget to collect money in the process."

nobody said anything about your wife. you thinking the clintons have some sort exclusive rights to: "cover your butt, first and foremost. If you can't cover your butt, have the person "commit" suicide. Wash, rinse, repeat, but don't forget to collect money in the process." is absolutely laughable. thats what bugs me the most about you. you never say a word about any other politician doing it except the clintons. your personal vendetta with somebody who really hasn't affected your life is....odd. at least when i go off on people it's because i've been directly wronged in some sort of way. it doesn't bother me anymore because history says nothing can really be done about it. what are we gonna do? revolt? in 100 years, the same damn thing is gonna happen. politician and honesty doesn't exactly go together. there's a few here and there, but typically this is what happens: same with business, we tolerate the nonsense as long as they don't directly screw us over. every. single. time. the only time we actually care is when they directly screw us over. So yea, i don't really care. let me know when they talk about something that affects me, like rights for fathers with registering kids to school, or pushing weed laws, or hell, anything. them meeting on a tar mat discussing whatever doesn't affect me, nor does it you or anybody else on this board.

Sure it affects people. Bill was pushing for "hey, don't prosecute my wife".
On a side note, why can't you register your kids for school?
Weed laws are pretty well known. And they are changing. Hasn't stopped you though, has it? Actually, maybe you are a clinton: Yeah, there's laws, but they don't apply to me.
Have you ever turned $1000 into $100,000 in 10 months time?
Bill has been a cheat his whole life. Hillary has been a cheat since she met bill. BUT, they're good cheats - as in, they are fantastic at it.
Have yourself a decent weekend. I'm headed out of town til Monday. I seriously wish you, your precious kids, and your wife, a good weekend.

It's really a minor annoyance, but is yet another symptom of a broad ranging issue.
Apparently, fathers have to actually prove their the parents of kids. My wife walked in there with jack crap and registered them, but I gotta bring all this crap to prove I'm the dad when I do it.

The liberals lost their ever loving collective mind when Dick Cheney met with and went to dinner with his old buddies from the oil industry because they were 100% certain that they were discussing how to make themselves rich and how to screw the American people... but nobody ever knew what was being said... but now that the Clinton's might just be manipulating the DoJ, which is investigating the Democratic nominee for President...... no big deal. Got it. Hate in this country isn't a two-way street, it's an 8-lane highway.. and, if you ask people, nobody is ever on it.. yet it's always backed up... go figure.

-Tell the world man... Department of Justice officials filed a motion in federal court late Wednesday seeking a 27-month delay in producing correspondence between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s four top aides and officials with the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings, a closely allied public relations firm that Bill Clinton helped launch. If the court permits the delay, the public won’t be able to read the communications until October 2018, about 22 months into her prospective first term as President. The four senior Clinton aides involved were Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Fuchs, Ambassador-At-Large Melanne Verveer, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin. The State Department originally estimated that 6,000 emails and other documents were exchanged by the aides with the Clinton Foundation. But a series of “errors” the department told the court about Wednesday evening now mean the total has grown to “34,116 potentially responsive documents.” During Clinton’s four years as America’s chief foreign diplomat, her aides communicated with officials at the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings where Bill Clinton was formerly both a client and paid consultant, on the average of 700 times each month, according to the Justice Department filing. -The Clinton Machine will not be denied!

Peen, like I said before bro, what can we really do about it? What can we do about racism? What can we do about white privilege? What can we do about inner city poverty? What can we do about a shooting at a gay club or a bombing at a foreign airport? What can we do about any of it? Nothing.... so why bother with any of it?

Dunno. Ask the founding fathers or the people currently in charge. No. I'm asking you. Because you will fight like he!! for some of it and then accept defeat for others.. I'm not even saying that's wrong, we all pick and choose the battles that are important to us.. just curious why you invest so much thought and energy into some fights (though you can't really change it) but don't care about this..

Because you can't change the character of the person.
Government almost makes you inherently prone to corruption. At pretty much any level or form.
There's always gonna be deals behind the backs of citizens. Government is naturally secretive.
That's an absolute. The only way that change is if everybody thinks like robots. The same.
And since that's impossible....well....
That's insanely obvious when realizing that fact that we almost never hear of the "good" politicians. They are there, but they typically don't get celebrated as much as the rowdy ones.
And even the good politicians had some sort of shadiness and questions of corruption attached to their names.
Every form of government has that inherent flaw as design, however unintended it made be. Because you can't predict human emotion in the heat of the moment.
So know that, you have no choice but to choose what you're willing to sacrifice in a government, as long as the good outweighs the bad.
So ask yourself, what was Clinton and the AG doing that this isn't literally built into their political DNA?
Nothing. Move along, nothing to see here.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
- Theodore Roosevelt

LMAO!
People will reach over everything. Judicial Watch doesn't think it's so funny. Judicial Watch cites in its complaint 18 USC §§ 202 – 209; Executive Order 12674 on Principles of Ethical Conduct as amended by EO 12731; Uniform Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch, 5 CFR Part 2635; Department of Justice regulations, 5 CFR Part 3801; Department of Justice regulations, 28 CFR Part 45; Executive branch standards of conduct, 5 USC § 735; and, United States Department of Justice Ethics Handbook for On and Off-Duty Conduct, 14 Principles for Ethical Conduct: “14. Employees shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that they are violating the law or the ethical standards set forth in this part. Whether particular circumstances create an appearance that the law or these standards have been violated shall be determined from the perspective of a reasonable person with knowledge of the relevant facts.” 5 C.F.R 2635.101 (b) “An employee shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that the employee is violating the law or the ethical standards set forth in this part.” 5 CFR 2635.101(b)(14) “Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s meeting with Bill Clinton severely undermined the already low public confidence in her agency’s criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “In addition to this IG investigation, Judicial Watch has already sent Freedom of Information Act requests about this scandalous meeting.” http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/...linton-meeting/
