Hi all. Its a little early but tine for another year of Fantasy football. This year the draft is on August 7th, the day of the Hall of Fame game and by request is now a mix of live/auto draft.

Former league members have been invited and new members can sign up by using the info below.

We do need at least one member to join so that we have an even number of teams. 1 owner has already withdrawn from the league.

I'm down with the live draft, but any way we can push it till after the 3rd preseason game sometime?

I guess the 7th would be okay, but it'd be just my fantasy luck to have somebody get hurt before the games even count.

With comings and goings, we currently sit at 13 teams. We have 7 slots left.

Just curious as I'm running my own league ... do you guys set a trade deadline? do you set a specific time that players must be "locked in" for the week?

Default NFL.com settings. Rosters lock when the player's game starts.
Our trade deadline is currently listed as 11/27 although that may end up getting adjusted.

I was initially for pushing the draft back, but I think I'd rather just do it on Sunday now. Having players to watch might make the preseason more interesting, though honestly the fact that there is football at all is generally good enough.

Also, I was looking at the league and it looks like the draft was changed from snake to linear. Any particular reason?

As far as I can tell yes. I sent a email to everyone who played last season asking for anyone who couldn't/didn't want to play to drop and let me know so we could adjust accordingly.

No. I was adjusting settings and did it. I can change it back before the draft.

I think snake works better in non-keeper leagues.

Being the guy who has picks 14, 28, 42, etc in a linear draft could be rough. Potentially you'd only be getting 2 players in your top 40 and none in your top ten.

Put me down for a MUCH later draft I hate drafting this early.

I am not in your league, but am in 4 others. I agree, we don't draft until Labor Day weekend.

Who wants to draft somebody to see them knocked out for the season in the preseason?

I'm currently in a disagreement with my league's commissioner. He has the draft scheduled for August 20th. I want the draft to be somewhere around September 3rd. I see no benefit in an early draft.

Sleepers haven't blown up yet. Injuries can happen anytime. I can see both sides, but I'm just ready for any football that doesn't include the same board (bored?) arguments rehashed over and over.

The draft has been pushed back to Sunday September 4th @ 1 pm. Time can be adjusted, only other day would be Monday the 5th.
