yea man, delly better be getting paid then i heard someone say they expect delly to get 10 million per I'll bet he gets more. $11-12m/year. Teams have money, they have to spend it, he's young, big stage experience, and he's a quality backup PG. Plus, any team will have to offer a bit more to price out the Cavs from matching.

Guess we should say our goodbyes to LBJ.... According to some insiders, the goodbye to LBJ is NOT this year ... but next year. NY has been clearing space in order to sign LBJ next season.

Is Jeremy Lin good? Or is he still living off that one 10 game stretch he had like 5 years ago?
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

NBA contracts are reaching QB contracts as it relates to having to pay ridiculous amounts for "above average"

I'll say 4 years 42 million

I'm glad we're sitting out this silly season. Suddenly that TT deal is a freaking bargain. The Kyrie deal is a masterstroke.

That's a big what if.

How much money do we even have? Moz and Delly off the books ... and so is JR. We also assume Jefferson is returning

Delly and JR are on the books until they have signed with another team (have they?) We can offer big contracts to those guys but it would give us luxury tax penalties.

Delly will soon IMO. JR is still an option for us from what I've heard.

Wow. The money is obscene for some of these guys.
Should've been an NBA player. Money is still bigger in baseball.. and a short, slow, white guy like me at least has a chance in baseball.

I don't think we keep Delly, but I also don't believe that Gilbert is too worried about the luxury tax thing. The guy does what it takes to win. He is the opposite of Haslam.

He has made a series of bad decisions but we aren't bad because he won't spend money... and Gilbert is good because LeBron returned.. In the 4 years LeBron was gone, how good was Gilbert doing at "doing what it takes to win"? His draft picks were, for the most part, not all that good and FA's weren't exactly flocking here.. If we had the football version of LeBron, Haslam could look like a genius too.

He traded Varejao last year to save a few million on the luxury cap bill. He'll spend, but he does have his limits. I really doubt he's losing that much money when he's got Lebron filling arenas and siphoning that money straight down to his casino next door.

OJ Mayo just got kicked out of the league for 2 years.
I didn't even know the NBA did that.

Honestly. I hope we hear a bunch of basketball greats start ripping in to the kids' today and their contracts. Batum for 125? Beal for that much? My God. Basketball has a lot of money, but still doesn't have the resources to spend it wisely yet.

I'm not ganna be mad at someone getting paid if that's what they are willing to pay you.

Old NBA players are jealous and grumpy. Barkley was on Bill Simmons's new show last week and said his top 3 players would never change. And that Lebron still isn't in the top 5 and probably wouldn't be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0XlR2zRihE

Because I think he sucks. I think he is a crook who is deceiving Brown's fans. I think he is in only for the money. While Gilbert has faults, there is no question he will do whatever it takes to win championships.
