Stupid me I think I finally figured it out...

We are two different cultures living in the same society, Black and White.

Blacks say they are being unjustly shot down like sheep to the slaughter and no one cares. They see Whites as unsympathetic because they are Racists. Blacks see all the shooting victims as having their hands up and being shot by Racist executioners. Blacks truly believe this in their hearts. Some Blacks are now turning to violence out of frustration.

Whites see Blacks as acting badly and getting themselves killed. Act normal and the Police won't shoot you, jump around like nuts and scare the Police, you get shot. Most of the shooting victims were charging at the Police or fighting with the Police or running when told to stop. This is why they got shot. Whites truly believe this in their hearts.

It comes down to two different Cultures seeing the exact same situations in completely different ways. They both believe their perspective in their hearts.

It reminds me of the OJ trial when they announced the verdict and in that room full of people the Whites sat in stunned silence saying "What?" "I can't believe it."

The Blacks in the room erupted in joyful exuberance shouting "Finally, Justice is served!"

It is not Racism, it is two different cultures seeing the exact same issue in two different ways!

Until we understand each other and how our heads work, we are doomed to be constantly at odds with each other.

As the sun set on the first day of the Republican National Convention, city officials and police officers breathed a sigh of relief that – at least so far – protests remain peaceful, people remain safe and public property remains intact.

During Monday evening's media briefing at Public Auditorium, Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said two "semi-major" protests, involving crowds of about 200 and 300 people respectively, concluded peacefully and without incident.

Demonstrations Monday included those staged by the End Poverty NOW! movement, Citizens for Trump and the Stop Trump coalition.

A smaller group of protesters, exercising their right to openly carry firearms, had assembled on Public Square, Williams said. But those, too, were peaceful and easily managed by police, he said.

Police confiscated a small knife, gas masks and a slingshot Monday evening from two men wearing scarves over their faces and claiming allegiance to the hacktivist collective Anonymous. They were detained for a short while, but eventually were released without further incident.

And when Black Lives Matter protesters momentarily clashed with religious-right and conservative supporters of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, police used their bicycles to keep the groups separated.

Only one person – local activist Kathy Wray Coleman -- was arrested Monday.

Coleman, the leader of the Imperial Women's Coalition, was listed as the first speaker at an area designated for speakers on Public Square when officers ran her name and found an outstanding warrant from University Heights, a police spokeswoman said.

Coleman was wanted on charges of felonious assault in connection with a May 15, 2015 incident during which, police said, she nearly struck police officers with her car.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Activist and journalist Kathy Wray Colman was arrested on an outstanding warrant Monday while speaking at Public Square during the Republican National Convention.

Coleman was listed as the first speaker at an area designated for speakers at Public Square. She complained of chest pains and was arrested after officials ran her name and discovered that she had an outstanding warrant from University Heights, Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia of the Cleveland police department said.

Coleman, leader of the Imperial Women's Coalition, was wanted on charges of felonious assault in connection with a May 15, 2015 incident outside her vacant home in University Heights.

Police there said that she nearly struck police officers with her car as she drove away from the scene.

Officers received an anonymous tip that someone was in the vacant home on the 3900 block of Silsby Road. Coleman used to live in the house before it sustained heavy damage in a fire in September 2013. When officers approached the house, Coleman came out, got into the car and sped out of the driveway. She nearly struck the three officers, according to police.

No one was injured.

Coleman said the officers came to the house with their weapons out, and that they used racial slurs.

The property was owned by Homesales Inc. atvthe time of the incident.

Coleman is known for her efforts in raising awareness of violence against black women following the Anthony Sowell murders. She's made appearances at various demonstrations and events in recent months surrounding police issues in Cleveland.

Representative Steve King, Republican of Iowa, questioned the historical contributions of nonwhite “subgroups” during an appearance on MSNBC on Monday, igniting swift backlash online.

Mr. King spoke during a panel discussion, led by the MSNBC host Chris Hayes, about the racial makeup of the Republican Party on the first day of the party’s convention.

“If you’re really optimistic, you can say this was the last time that old white people would command the Republican Party’s attention, its platform, its public face,” Charles P. Pierce, a writer at large at Esquire magazine, said during the panel discussion.

In response, Mr. King said: “This whole ‘old white people’ business does get a little tired, Charlie. I’d ask you to go back through history and figure out where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that you are talking about? Where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?”

“Than white people?” Mr. Hayes asked.

Mr. King responded: “Than Western civilization itself that’s rooted in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the United States of America, and every place where the footprint of Christianity settled the world. That’s all of Western civilization.”

Frantic yelling ensued, with the panelists speaking over one another. “What about Africa? What about Asia?” April Ryan, a reporter on the panel, said.

“We’re not going to argue the history of civilization,” Mr. Hayes said. “Let me note for the record that if you’re looking at the ledger of Western civilization, for every flourishing democracy you’ve got Hitler and Stalin as well. So there’s a lot on both sides.”

Some Twitter users said Mr. Hayes should have allowed a response instead of going to a commercial break, and he said on Twitter that they might have a point.

Mr. King, who was first elected to Congress in 2002, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

In 2013, he attracted criticism after saying that for every child of illegal immigrants “who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert.” In June, he moved to block an effort to put Harriet Tubman, the abolitionist, on the $20 bill.

On Twitter, Ms. Ryan called Mr. King “mentally stunted” and said she had wanted to respond but had not been able to get her word in. “Steve King you need to learn about race and contributions by other societies in this country,” she tweeted.

Other Twitter users quickly attacked Mr. King for the comments.

I've been wondering what type of people would vote for Trump based on his merits and not because they simply hate Hillary. Likewise, I have wondered about who would vote for Hillary in the same manner.

I think I understand the Trump supporters. White racists who have limited intelligence and have a lot of hate in their hearts and are intolerant of anyone who isn't like them.

Now, I just gotta figure out who in the world would really like Hillary.

here is where it gets weirder and weirder.

When the Trumps landed in Cleveland on what the media has dubbed "Trump One", Matt Lauer jumped on board to do a quick interview that was on the Today Program this morning.

In the interview, Malania was asked if her speech was ready or if she was ready. She said, in no uncertain terms, that she wrote the speech herself.


When you watch the two passages side by side(It's been played over and over again all morning) it's uncanny how similar they are. In some spots, identical.

Not sure if it was planned (can't imagine it was) but it was stupid for sure. It's almost too easy to check for similarities with past speeches.

Really dumb.

On the plus side, very minor trouble out in the streets. A couple of arrests but again, that can happen on any given evening in a large city.

Hope it stays that way.

Do you really feel comfortable and assured that making those type of comments about other Americans that you no nothing about ? You can go down the list in history, and know that there is a team of writers and editors and who write for them. very few speeches are self written in politics.

I think you are not paying attention. If you watch them side by side, they are almost identical, and in some spots, they are identical.

Oh I know Swish,,, I doubt she actually wrote that speech which IMO makes it even more comical.

Comical in two ways, a professional writer probably wrote it and Mrs. Trump took credit for it.

I guess the only thing that might be more cartoonish is the Donald coming out from a blur of smoke to the song "We are the Champions".. Not sure if he knows this yet, but he hasn't won. He may, he may not. But he hasn't yet.

And your point is? If they were raised with the same values, how many different ways can you say it without a claim of plagiarism? Most people try to raise their kids to be honest, keep their word, and pass their values on to their kids. Quite honestly, if I was writing a speech to say those same ideas, it would probably be quite similar. This is just more ridiculous crap.
