Great video of your kid. Are you trying to make her the next Allison Stokke?

I love this thread. Thanks Nick.

Issues? Who has issues? The only group or singer mentioned that I don't like would be the Cowsills. I hated that "Flower Girl" song.

When my daughter was about 13 or so, I had to take her and a friend to a Michael Bolton concert and act like I actually liked it....I pulled it off....but man...that was a miserable evening....I had to keep reminding myself my daughter was growing up and I wouldn't have many more opportunities like that.

It is a family joke now....she now knows the sacrifices I made that evening

You just mentioned anoter one I don't like. Oooooooo and I HATED it when he did that album of the standards ewwwww. I love the standards but when he sings them.

I'm so sorry you had to suffer through that. What a good Dad.

I'm a crust old classic rocker, but I like ABBA. Awesome vocal melodies, great chick singers.

About a month ago, I bought the Bay City Rolllers Greatest Hits, and I 'm wearing it out.

Air Supply, though.... ugh.

I got 4 or 5 of their old albums on vinyl, LOL. Dedication, Greatest Hits, Rock n Roll Love Letter, and the one with Summer Love Sensation on it. Talkes me back to when I was 9, 10 or so. I still like a lot of their songs, I must admit.

" Friday night it was late
I was walking you to the gate
And I was deaming of the night
Would it turn out right "

Did they also do "Lady let me take a look at you now. You're there on the dance floor making me want somehow. Oh Lady I think it's only fair I should say to you don't keep thinkin' that I don't want you cause Lady I do." ?

"Don Williams.....why, he's my second favorite singer in the whole world!!!!"

I admit I have ABBA, Air Supply, Bee Gee's, some Bay City Roller's, Charlie Daniels, Journey, Asia, Toto, Starship, ELO, Oakridge Boys...My first favorite groups were the Beatles and Chicago(old style and new).

But hey I have wide ranging tastes...I have Louis Armstrong, BB King, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Harry Connick Jr., Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, Boston, Kansas, Led Zepplin, Queen, Def Leppard, Scorpians, Kiss, Metallica, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, and even a little Eminem.....LOL so I don't see it as a bad thing.....LOL(wipes brow of sweat hoping everyone buys it )

I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...

What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????

I realize not many people really like this song, but I do. I listen to it every Thanksgiving...either at home or they play it on the radio T-giving morning.

Hell, I used to own the Alice's Restaurant album on tape... great song

Quote:

We walked in, sat down, Obie came in with the twenty seven eight-by-ten
colour glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back
of each one, sat down. Man came in said, "All rise." We all stood up,
and Obie stood up with the twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy
pictures, and the judge walked in sat down with a seeing eye dog, and he
sat down, we sat down. Obie looked at the seeing eye dog, and then at the
twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with circles and arrows
and a paragraph on the back of each one, and looked at the seeing eye dog.
And then at twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with circles
and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one and began to cry,
'cause Obie came to the realization that it was a typical case of American
blind justice, and there wasn't nothing he could do about it

Arlo is a Folk Music Legend who influenced many other artists. He's also often a crossword puzzle answer.
