I think so too. The starting pitching can't be this bad. Hopefully just a rough patch.

What does Kosuke Fukudome, an outfielder for the Hanshin Tigers of Nippon Professional Baseball, have to do with anything?

What has been happening with our rotation lately? Are they just not making the pitches that they have been making for months now? Or is not having Gomes behind the dish having that big of an impact? The Twinkies have probably scored more runs in the first three games as they have in the last two weeks...

I hope so, and the miller comment was tongue in cheek, my point being, Tito leaves his starters in to get shelled way to long, bauer should have the shortest leash of anyone as hes proven time and time again, once he starts getting hit he pitches scared and usually gets shelled, when he gave up the first 3, it should have been curtains for him. We really needed a long man in the pen, not sure if Miller can do that or not, but they look like they want him to setup/close.

Mike Clevinger starting? ("replacing Salazar in the lineup")

Francona is starting to work his September magic.

I'm telling ya he's brilliant.

He's formulating the September stretch run.

I hope our rotation can get back to pitching 6+ innings again soon. Clevinger pitched the longest in the series at 4 and 1/3 innings.

Side note: Rajai Davis just manufactured a run for us!!

Not sure if our pitching is just better today or if Twins hitters are exhausted from hitting the ball a mile and running around the bases so much this week.

I thought that Clevinger did a good job of just settling things down. He only went 4 1/3 innings ..... but he kept the team in the game, with the lead.

Rajai Davis was just flat out scary today. Get a hit. Steal 2nd. Steal 3rd. Come home on a wild pitch that didn't get 10 feet from home plate. He is now tied for the AL lead in steals, and the guy he is tied with is now in the NL. wink

Miller came in and just made grown men look like small children. He faced 4 hitters, and struck out 3 of them. Otero also did a really nice job in relief.

Man, Rajai looks like he could play another 5 years. lol 35, and leading the AL in steals. Who'da thunk it?

Now we gotta ... keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin' ...... wink

Also just saw that we claimed Michael Martinez, who was with the team earlier in the year, off waiver from the Red Sox.

Nice move. He was a really good piece all over the field, and was a great clubhouse guy. He can play 2nd, 3rd, SS, and pretty much anywhere in the outfield.

Only 4 more certain televised Indians games for me here in CT.

The next three days against the Yankees and August 15th - a single "make-up" game against the Red Sox.

Geez, it's like summer is almost over already.

Davis is like Darrell Green was with the Redskins. He started out so much faster than anybody else, losing a few steps took him to winning races by 1 step instead of 3 steps.

I called Direct TV and asked about how do I get Indians games in Reno? It all depends on local agreements.

Weird I get some of the games but there is no rhyme or reason.

I suspect that as the season winds down contender games will get more air time.

Lucroy released a damage control letter on ESPN. His agent talked to Antonetti that night, wanted Lucroy guaranteed as starting catcher, Antonetti said "well, maybe? We'll definitely play you everyday at a mix of 1B/DH/C.

Instead he just wants to catch. Doesn't make much sense to me. He's getting older, and a less demanding position could benefit his longevity.

What a doofus.

Yeah exactly, He's what, 30, 31? If he starts developing knee tendinitis, do we just keep rolling him out behind the plate until his legs pop off?

It kinda read like he blamed his agent ... or at least his agent made the decision for him

Tomlin looking like pure garbage. He is missing everything, when you throw as soft as he does you have to be able to locate your pitches. He just a noodle arm serving up softballs. Another loss incoming. Wtf happened to this team

Same thing can be said about antonetti. He should have just said sure and made the deal and let Tito worry about what do do with him

I've never thought Tomlin was that great, he needs a lot of run support because he gives up a lot of HR. But it seems everyone is sucking lately

Does anyone have a more annoying pre pitch routine than Pineda? Looks like a Tourette's attack every time

It looks like the league has caught up with Tomlin. His stuff isn't good enough for his command to be much less than perfect.
