To be fair, I probably looked like that during Game 7 of the NBA Finals. i'll never forget doing slides and jumping up and down throughout the entire 4th quarter

Yesterday I caught some Table Tennis. Today, I caught some Water Polo, Individual Cross Country Equestrian and Fencing (Women's Saber). Here's some of my observations: Table Tennis - I couldn't even figure out how the paddle was hitting the ball on the serve of the Brazilian. He'd throw it up like this and all of a sudden hit it from what looked like behind his neck. I couldn't tell how he was hitting it. Very elusive (very tricky serve). Water Polo - Why is this an Olympic Sport? Have you ever heard of someone playing this? (other than high school gym/swim class). PS. That was the closest I ever came to drowning. (playing water polo in high school gym) Cross Country Equestrian - watching this I began to understand the power of The Cavalry. Women’s Saber - The action is so quick and brief it’s nearly impossible to know who scored if you’re not used to watching it. And apparently, “ Bratty Intimidation” is par for the competition.

All I got from your post is that you evidently went to a spoiled rich kid high school that had a pool. Yep, confirmed it.. the top 15 in NCAA water polo is UCLA, UCSB, Stanford, UC Irvine, Pacific, (in fact the top 9 are all in California).. then it starts into Princeton and Harvard and Brown... Poor kids ain't playing no freakin' water polo bruh.

Wait till you watch all 8 diving competitions... for both genders. It's like they just want to give the Chinese medals.

I just want to know how co-dependent you need to be to even start synchronized diving as a sport. Can't jump off a 10 foot diving board yourself?

The Dream Team would never play as soft as these guys..... MJ, Magic and Bird would be pissed that we weren't up 30-40 on these jokers. These guys are Charmin-y soft....

It's the nature of basketball now. With the hand check rules, trying to protect the assets, AAU culture, etc ... the players' style and mentality is much different

Y'all need to watch more or stream it... I've seen hand ball, weight lifting, canoeing, rugby, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, diving, table tennis, volleyball, judo, fencing, shooting, archery... Maybe a few others
13 different types of ping pong, says George Carlin! handball, rugby, soccer, basketball, table tennis, and volleyball, are all forms of ping pong. (See George Carlin video) Edit, Who goes on the Wheaties box? Ledecki, ? If it's me, It's whoever won the Gold in 10 meter Air Rifle, the only Gold the U.S.A. had for 30 hours.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Whats with the Ukraine male gymnist "choosing not to compete" and intentially getting zero score in all events? Are they protesting? Just crazy.

I know, I want to see it. NBC would be smarter to break up their coverage with different events. Because two hours straight of swimming is very repetitive and starts to get boring.

NBC's coverage just gets worse. I admit I am probably in the minority when I say we do not have cable nor a DVR. However, last night on regular NBC they chose to show swimming heats rather than the Women's Team Gymnastics Final at a reasonable hour. We eventually went to bed at 10:40pm. They showed a couple brief snippets at 8pm to "tease" you but, then went to Swimming. We saw Phelps & LeDecky's races but then they continued on with heats rather than the actual Gymnastics final. In the past couple Olympics NBC also seem to only show the American team when it would be fun to actually watch their opponents who are also competing for gold. That is what makes sports...dramatic and exciting to watch.

I was thinking the same thing today. I was wondering if NBC realized other countries compete in the olympics too. In 2015 the alpine skiing world championships was in Colorado and I got to attend. Being able to see all of the competition and not just the ones NBC allowed us to see made the event that much more exciting. Makaela Shiffrin won womens slalom in front of her home crowd. That excitement would have been lessened by seeing her race and nobody else.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!
