I will! It's what I do at this point in life.

I don't know how many more years I have.....but I am in the 4th quarter now, so win or lose, I am going to enjoy my passion. The Browns have always been my #1 passion in life.

I am going to attend as many Browns games as possible because all too soon, I won't be able.

That's the bottom line.

Cool man. I am in good health, but there comes a point where you aren't 40, 50, or 60 anymore. One can hope, but I see people younger than me kicking due to normal things every day. It's not like they are falling off roofs or things like that. They are kicking to normal, age realated stuff.

All the best to you Peen. Thoughts with you.

I don't feel right giving a guy older than me advice or anything like that (especially with you saying that you're in good health), but I will say, at least with my father, whose health has been very down and somewhat up over the past 15 years, I'm a strong believer in goals, aspirations, dreams and plans.

It's something that at least makes me feel good about my Dad when he comes up with his next "plan", even if it requires me building him a website or setting him up at the local farmer's market for his next entrepreneurial venture (guy watches way too much Shark Tank!), listening to his pitch to me on splitting a sailboat again, or being a bartender for one of his dinner parties where I have to pretend I enjoy the company of his friends.

He still hopes to purchase a trawler (a Grand Banks, and my family is not made of money, lol) and tour the Hudson River/Chespeake/Deleware Bays.

Point being, IMO you shouldn't count yourself out. You should keep doing stuff until you can't or don't want to that specific thing anymore, and keep planning on doing stuff until you can't as well. That's what makes life worth living

Trust me, I don't count myself out. I didn't mean for it to come across that way. I don't see leaving the party anytime soon.

A good attitude is important.

And that attitude will help you make some important life choices:

There's an old saying: You are what you eat. It's extremely true. Fruits, vegetables, fish, fiber, etc. Lay off sodium, sugar, processed foods, red meat. Limit your alcohol intake to two drinks a day. {I haven't achieved that yet, but I'm drinking less.}

Exercise at least 30 min. a day.

Thanks.

I am boycotting the Browns right now.........LOL

But, I would like to meet some of you guys. I went to one years ago and met a bunch of the crew. I think it was the Denver game where Brady Quinn made his first start, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the read. I've been trying to eat more fruit. It seems to really benefit me as an athlete performance-wise

Browns' stunning difference: Jackson's staff vs. Pettine's
A side-by-side comparison of Mike Pettine's staff with Hue Jackson's illustrates a stunning overall difference. The new Browns staff will make its home debut Thursday.

BEREA New Browns head coach Hue Jackson is getting a reputation.
Good guy to work for.
Defensive coordinator Ray Horton helps explain:
"Hue gave us a couple of hours off one day, so I was able to go golfing and go flying. At the golf course, the people were talking about the Cleveland Browns. One guy had a Browns tattoo on his leg.
"When I went flying, and I landed, the guy who takes care of the plane was talking about the Browns defense."
Jackson's staff has a similar reputation. Good guys to play for.
Mike Pettine and his staff did not leave them with a hard act to follow.
"I thought our coaching staff did a great job at Green Bay," Jackson said. "The communication back and forth between me and them was outstanding."
A significant portion of Mike Pettine's fired assistants landed comparable jobs elsewhere; yet, the new group seems far more qualified to pull together a turbulent roster than the last one.
Judge for yourself:

- Offensive coordinator
New guy: Jackson, 50, will call the plays, as he did with the Bengals in 2014 and '15. He was a major-college coordinator 20 years ago (Cal). He landed the first of his four NFL coordinator jobs 13 years ago.

The departed: John DeFilippo, 38, had been a coordinator for just one season (2011 at San Jose State) before working as Pettine's "OC" in 2014 and '15. Now he is quarterbacks coach of the Eagles, Cleveland's opening-day opponent.
- Quarterbacks

New guy: Pep Hamilton, 41, was offensive coordinator of the Colts in 2013 when they scored 45 points in a playoff win over the Chiefs, in 2014 when they reached the AFC title game, and in 2015 before getting fired in-season. He and Jackson are coaching Browns QBs.

The departed: Kevin O'Connell, 31, bounced around as an NFL backup from 2008-12. His first pro coaching job was with the Browns last year. He has joined Chip Kelly as a "special projects coach" with the 49ers.

- Offensive line
New guy: Hal Hunter, 57, is the son of a former NFL O-line coach. He became a line coach in the SEC more than 20 years ago and has worked in the NFL for more than 10 years, the last three with the Colts.

The departed: George DeLeone, 68, was assistant line coach to Andy Moeller last summer before Moeller got in an off-field mess and resigned. DeLeone suddenly was in charge of the line. Now he is a position coach at Temple.

- Wide receivers
New guy: Al Saunders, 69, landed an NFL head coaching job 30 years ago. He later was a coordinator for four NFL teams.

The departed: Joker Phillips, 53, had not worked in the NFL before the Browns hired him in 2015. He was head coach at Kentucky from 2010-12. His new post: "Quality control" coach at Ohio State.

- Running backs
New guy: Kirby Wilson, 54, is in his 19th year as an NFL RBs coach. His previous two jobs were with the Steelers (2007-13) and Vikings (2014-15).

The departed: Wilbert Montgomery, 61, played nine years in the NFL and coached backs in the league the past 19 years.

- Defensive coordinator
New guy: Horton, 56, has been in the NFL since joining the Bengals as a Round 2 pick in 1983.

The departed: Jim O'Neil, 37,got his first NFL coordinator opportunity in 2014. Kelly thought he deserved another one and hired him in San Francisco.

- Defensive backs
New guy: Louie Cioffi, 43, is a 14-year NFL coach, in his sixth straight year working with Ray Horton.

The departed: Jeff Hafley, 37, broke into the NFL in 2012 and coached Browns DBs in 2014 and '15. O'Neil talked Kelly into bringing him to San Francisco.

- Defensive line
New guy: Robert Nunn, 51, entered the NFL 16 years ago after an eight-year run as head coach at Georgia Military College. He was the Giants' D-line coach from 2010-15.

The departed: Anthony Weaver, 36, played in the NFL for seven years and has coached in it since 2012. Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel has hired him in Houston.

- Linebackers
New guys: Johnny Holland, 51, was a Round 2 pick in 1987. He is in his 22nd year as a pro coach. Ryan Slowik, 35, coached with the Broncos, Cardinals and Jets across 11 seasons.

The departed: Neither Chuck Driesbach, 64, nor Brian Fleury, 36, coached in the NFL before Pettine brought them to the Bills in 2013 and then took them to Cleveland. Both are out of the NFL this year.

That has to be the worst coaching staff of all time under Pettine.
Notice most of them no longer have the same role this year that
They had under Pettine
Heck half of them are out of the NFL

Steve D has the absolute worst writing style I've ever read. I imagine he's been a journalist for decades. How, I'm not sure. It's very hard to tell what point the guy is trying to make and he jumps all over the place with his thoughts. Almost like he writes in a stream of consciousness with whatever posps into his mind that second.

Once again............I think people are overvaluing the good and the bad of both coaching staffs.

Last year's staff failed because the talent sucked.

This year's staff will fail because the talent sucks.

I just hope the masses don't throw the new staff under the bus when the record sucks.

I thought that Joker Phillips did a nice job with the receivers he had last year, but I also think that Al Saunders is a step up.

Iy is well known that I did not want to change head coaches yet again last year, but I said that if we did the man I wanted in the job was the guy we wound up hiring. I think that Hue Jackson is one heck of a football coach.

That said, I do worry about some of his coaching choices. I am not a big fan of either Pep Hamilton or Ray Horton. I hope that they are much better coaches/coordinators than I think that they are.

I think that Wilbur Montgomery was extremely underrated by many Browns fans.

I do believe that Pettine should have taken a more active role on the defense again, when it became obvious that they were struggling under O'Neill. One thing I will say it that I have never been a huge fan of defenses that have a playbook that looks like the phone book for an entire state. I think that they can be very effective, especially with a veteran team that has been in the system for a long time, but there is also more risk of having one player blow up the whole scheme by making one little mistake. I do think that a lot of young players who may have struggled with a massive level of directions for every minor little aspect of what the offense did will appreciate a somewhat simpler scheme, where they can "just play" a bit more.

The staff failed because Pettine was an awful head man in charge. If he was a good head coach he'd still be here.

So when they let Mitchell Schwartz Travis Benjamin, safety Tashaun Gipson and center Alex Mack because they sucked talent wise?

While I agree with this in part, I was no fan of Jim O'Neil at all as the DC. While I don't think Ray Horton is elite (guys like Wade Phillips and Romeo Crennell always seemed to get the most out of their defenses in the sole role of DC), I do think he's a huge step up from Jim O'Neil.

The one guy I did like a lot was our O-Coordinator. I thought he did a good job with the talent he had. I think he'll probably be a pretty successful O-Coordinator soon again.

But I agree, talent is going to be the biggest factor in how well our team does this year.

I think it's safe to say that we could have saved Schwartz, But I really think the others were gone no matter what we did.

No need to debate this again, but there is also no need to overstate it either.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000685198/article/josh-gordon-quad-returns-to-browns-practice

Wide receiver Josh Gordon practiced Sunday for the first time since being reinstated from his league-imposed ban for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, per multiple reports

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2016/08/josh_gordon_very_close_to_prac.html

Rookie receiver Ricardo Louis, the fourth-round pick out of Auburn, joined the ranks of injured receivers Sunday when he pulled up lame at the end of practice with a hamstring.

He's the third receiver with a hamstring injury this season, including No. 1 pick...

Others limited or currently hurting include Terrelle Pryor (hand), Marlon Moore and rookie receiver Rashard Higgins, who all got banged up during the 17-11 loss to the Packers. Moore and Higgins both sat out 11-on-11s Sunday.

Makes me wonder if our players are a bit fatigued. I thought our players looked a bit slow and stiff, especially the first team defense and offense.

In one thread we hear about how terrible all of our first round picks have been. In the next thread you hear people say that our problem doesn't revolve around a lack of talent. A comedian couldn't write better material.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I cant remember which thread everyone was talking about SHelton, but on a new clip posted on this website, Xavier Cooper was going at Shelton at the orange/brown game... Cooper said "You gotta do better, you gotta do better.. you not getting enough push.. You are not a rookie anymore..."

That says something... Especially coming from Xavier Cooper

I do not believe our defensive staff has been even adequate when it comes to the job of coaching up our defensive players honestly since Jauron was here. We have put twice as much money and draft picks into the defense as we have the O and it has produced no pass rush and an inability to stop the run.

O Staff last year made the best out of what they had, although I do believe Flip got pass happy to often and forgot the run game but the D coaching staff just hasnt gotten it done and I have my doubts that Horton can get it done.

We will have more offensive weapons available than any time since the return. The question here is can we get this OL playing to the level it needs to be at.

BTW that Patterson kid isnt backing down, i loved that pick he had in practice yesterday, looked like a young Joe Haden in coverage.

Yes, I was very huffy when I wrote that.

I also owned a huffy as a child. Then I graduated to a diamondback ...I think was the name of the bike. Lime green. It had white mag wheels. It was my pride and joy. Did a lot of free styling on that. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.

So, you're thinking that just two good players and a couple of wannabe's that are average at best made us a Good roster, talent-wise??

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
