We can Also Flip that statement on its head.

A "top 10 QB, and a "defense that can stop the run and rush the QB. will come back when we have a winning culture.

also simple.

Marty skill was also his flaw. He could grind out 8-10 wins with marginal talent with a conservative approach. In the playoffs his no risk approach came back to haunt him. San Diego fans still remember him shutting down the offense at the 30 and missing the 42 yard field goal on a wet field to lose a playoff game in OT.

Doesn't bother me as much as the Browns haven't won 2 post season games, in one season, in over 65 years. That's the one that gets me.

ok, subject change.
Continuity!

The season is looking up. Paul Kruger is back,
same with Kirksey, Nate Orchard and Xavier Cooper are making strides.

They've got, Haden, Tramon and K'waun coming back as CBs and Jamar Taylor is a veteran add on. So that there should provide a few wins.

The D-line is strong , with more experience from Shelton, and Hughes, and Hayden is another veteran add on. AND, Barkevious, and Armonty are both playing with another year of experience, so The Defense has continutity, across the board. Except at Safety,

The offense is bringing back a lot of experienced players as well, so things are looking up.
Josh McCown, Andrew Hawkins, Taylor Gabriel, Gary Barnidge, Duke Johnson, and Isaiah Crowell, all have significant contributions in at least one year with the Browns prior to this season.
The Offensive line is growing in experience together and who knows, they may wind up finding how to run block, (if only the Browns would call the right running plays), ... so a lot of continuity, just in the beginning stages.

We're going to see a lot of great things, just hope they can actually get some respect in the league.

I have a feeling.

That
Corey Coleman is going to be just fine, and for once in 5 years be a player from the Browns that people may actually draft in fantasy leagues.

And don't forget, the Coach is also hiding the intricacies of the combination of Robert Griffin the Third to Andrew Hawkins pass combination, don't overlook that.

Big things. Big Things.

At least we're consistent.

Marty Schottenheimer, was Unbelievable as a head coach, in the Regular season, in games that would decide a division, to win the division.

Marty's teams won so many divisions, even his Chiefs won the division of the Bronco's when the Bronco's won the super bowl. (97) ( Rules still are, that all division winners get a playoff berth) (to win there, you have to get there)

There is no coach, in history, I'd rather have, if it were a regular season game, between two good teams and the the division title is on the line.
I just saw, so many times, too many times, that he got an UNBELIEVABLE performance out of his team in those situations.

That's why I say Marty Schottenheimer is UNBELIEVABALE as a head coach.

One of the 'ism's I remember Marty saying publicly on more than 1 occasion, is when asked about if referee's calls would effect the game.

He'd say, those breaks are going to even out over time, but there are 3 phases of the game, Offense, Defense, and Special teams, and the team that wins two of the three usually wins the game.
(I always wondered if he must have included, turnovers, blocked kicks, and forcing turnovers, into the category of special teams.)

I love Marty Schottenheimer, I don't understand if someone doesn't, why that person is a Browns fan.

I think HJ is the right man for the job, I really do my problem is the owner and the FO in general under his leadership or lack there of. Until this team starts retaining good players they are destined to be losers.

Stop and think about the players we have lost over the course of JH's rule and it will come to you. While we wouldn't be super bowl contenders we would be a damned site better then the product we are bound to see this season.

When I saw the exodus of yet another group of good young players this past off season I knew we were in for more of the same. Hue will be the guy blamed for it but it will have very little to do with him and everything to do with JH.

This time like the last what 3 times now I pray he has learned but then I remember what happened just a few short months ago and I feel certain nothing will change, yet here I am with renewed hope. And I for the life of me, I can't understand why?

Hue will need time but if the past is our guide that is in very short supply because we have an idiot for an owner....

that's the life of a Browns fan in August and September.

Squirrels will instinctively bury nuts, and Browns fans will just as reflexively grow hopeful, lol!

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I like Hue, too. I like his demeanor, his energy, his intelligence.

I just hope he gets a fair shot. People are going to blame someone when the losses pile up. Horton will probably be the target this year. But, if Hue wins only a handful of games in the next 2-3 years, I doubt Haslam will retain him.

And we'll be right back in the same place where we are now. Starting over w/some BS false hope for the future.

Funny you should say that I told Tab the same thing last weekend. Horton will be the guy is my bet as well.

I think this offense has the potential to be very explosive but while they may score in bunches the defense will give up more points then any offense could ever hope to overcome...

I sincerely hope that people remember that we were going to suck this year even if we'd hired Merlin the Magician and, for once, give a new coach some time before running him out of town --- I"m looking at you, especially, Tony Grossi & Mary Kay Cabot.

Hopefully the owner has learned to not be a freaking moron and has stopped listening to whatever rumblings may be coming from the media, regardless of topic -- but, I doubt it.
