for repeated violation of NFL drug policy. In this case, it was a missed test. Sportscenter and NFL on ESPN official Twitter accounts. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/171240...issed-drug-test

Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell facing 4-game ban for missed drug test 9:19 AM ET Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is facing a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL's drug policy, sources told ESPN's Dan Graziano. The suspension is the result of a missed drug test, not a failed one, sources said. The reason it hasn't yet been announced is that the appeal process is still going on. No date for Bell's appeal has been set, though it's expected that it will be heard before the start of the regular season. If it's not overturned, he would miss the first four games of the season. Bell was suspended for the first three games of 2015, which was later reduced to two games, for a violation of the policy on substances of abuse after he was arrested for marijuana possession and DUI in the summer of 2014. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/171240...issed-drug-test

This is definitely in the same vein as Gordon's stupidity. Hard to say which is worse, though.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

He was caught and recieved a DUI and possession charges, they lowered his suspension from 4 games to two, and let him finish the year and play in playoffs. The Rooneysare on the committee, I am willing to bet he gets a slap on the hand, where others would be facing a longer suspension.

This doesn't make any sense..
We don't play them week 5..
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

A missed test is a failed test. You called it. The league lowered the 4-game ban to 3 AND let him stay in the current stage of the program. BS. LINK to Steelers Favoritism

Kinda hard to complain considering the NFL earlier reinstated Gordon.

Kinda hard to complain considering the NFL earlier reinstated Gordon. True. However, Gordon progressed up the stages without special treatment, missed a ton of time and then received a special break on his last chance. Bell is getting the special break a lot earlier. The fact he's also staying at the current stage is what gets me. The Steelers have a prime time game in week 4.

I don't know. Gordon failed a drug test in March. That doesn't sound like meeting all the requirements of being reinstated to me.
It's one of those things, Punch. If Gordon played for the Steelers and got reinstated despite all his transgressions, many Brown's fans would be screaming bloody murder.
I don't buy into the favoritism angle.

lmfao Pittsburgh controls the league. The NFL learned the hard way about losing star players on LOSING franchises. Justin Blackmon and the Jags, Josh and the Browns. The Steelers can't see their two top playmakers be brought down by drugs, so just change the drug policy on a whim. Makes me sick.

BS. LINK to Steelers Favoritism So if he fails again he'll just get a 4 game suspension not a 10 game suspension?

So if he fails again he'll just get a 4 game suspension not a 10 game suspension? Correct, a failed test tomorrow gets him a 4-game suspension because the league isn't moving him up....for an unknown reason.

I don't buy into the favoritism angle. Gordon was suspended for a year. then after reinstatement was suspended another four games. IMO, that was for the "diluted" sample in March. I don't see where you get he is getting special treatment. Plus, March was when he could have been reinstated, so him having to wait until August was more punishment handed out by the league. Bell was caught and charged with DUI, then was let finish the season and playoffs. Now he misses a test, which, just like Gordon's diluted test, equals a fail. But, unlike Gordon, Bell gets a reduction, and in the first case was allowed to finish the season. The DUI, on top of the substance abuse, should have resulted in suspension that year not the next. Now not being elevated in the program, clearly shows preferential treatment. Using Gordon as a comparison, is crap. You hate Gordon for his mistakes, and that is your perogative. But the situations are not the same, clearly Bell is being let off the hook somewhat. If you can't see that, then IMO, you just don't want to. Your disdain for this organization is obvious, but your blindness to the special treatment of Pittsburgh players s self inflicted, IMO. It has been going on for years, if you can't see that, you are fooling yourself.

J/C If Gordon was released a couple of years ago we wouldn't be having these conversations now. Just saying.
