I actually wrapped up the Resident Evil remake last weekend. It's been so long since I played it, that I couldn't recall what to do, where to do it at and etc so it was like replaying it all over again.

I'm not big into replaying older games, or really replaying any games at all. With that said, I rocked out Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis with my brother last weekend too, haha.

WOW have we come SO FAR in terms of graphics and etc.

I picked up the division on steam sale. I like the idea behind, I think it would have been more fun to be a an open world rpg like fallout or farcry instead of a mmo type of game.

It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

Maybe I'm old school, but I'm just more of an offline single player campaign mode kinda guy. I don't mind some COD online every once in a while, but I kinda like falling into the story and building my own guy up, at my own pace, without people screaming at each other over a damn mic..

I'm glad Ghost Recon Wildlands finally has a date on it (3-7-2017), and it sounds like this is not going to be like the division. I'm really excited for that game. I'm usually not a day one purchase gamer, but I will probably drop the cash to get it right away. The videos on it look really cool.

Got back into my NCAA14 dynasty.

Game play is a little iffy compared to Madden16. But overall it's still such a great game.

I'm in my 5th year at Utah as HC. Going for my 3rd NC,

Considering leaving after my contract is over to try to build up a small school.

Really wish 2k/EA would get off their assess and make more college football games..

Read a pretty detailed article on all the improvements EA has put into Madden 17.

Ball physics. New catches. New abilities to defend catches.. a lot of good stuff..

But all I really got from that was that Franchise mode is still going to suck..

I bought 7 Days to Die over the weekend for Xbone and couldn't put it down. The graphics and performance aren't the best, but they can be looked past. It's a really fun game. If you like survival, zombie, and/or crafting games, this one is for you.

edit- Plus, it's only $30.

Any idea if it is available for PC?

Yes, it's on Steam. You just missed it for $9.99 though, summer sale ended yesterday.

Saw the trailer, and started playing the 1st game pretty much immediately. Want to get through the trilogy by March or whenever Andromeda comes out, but not sure it will happen. Not much gaming time anymore, and Final Fantasy 15 comes out end of September, so I will be occupied with that for a while I'm sure.

Andromeda looks amazing though.

I didn't get to play the first, but the ones for ps3 I did and they're not a quick game to beat. You get all your money's worth, so you better start gaming again lol if you really want to beat them all.

Haha, I'd love to, but with work and a 7 month old, free time is a rarity. They sell a trilogy for PS3, that's what I'm playing, and it's been out a while so it's relatively cheap. I've heard 1 is the worst, but I'm enjoying this time. I've struggled to get into it the last few times I tried.

1 is a little tough game-play wise. It's more of a true RPG, so keep that in mind when you're shooting.

1 has the BEST story, though. You won't be disappointed.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Agreed. 1 Far and away was my favorite of the 3. And Mass Effect is my favorite series, hands down.

I'm not sure how it holds up to today's games, but Mass Effect 1 was amazing.

2&3 were very good, but just didn't have the same quality story (although the graphics will be far better)

Mass Effect: Andromeda is one of my most anticipated games coming up I'd say. Andromeda and Zelda. I'm sure there are others, but that's what I can think of now

God yeah. I thought about that after I posted that. Certainly my most anticipated game that I can think of.

I kind of want one of these new Xbox S systems, just because it's much smaller and the power supply is in the system. I bring my systems back and forth to work with me, and so the smaller the better.

But I still can't think of enough Xbox games for me to buy. Sunset Overdrive and Tomb Raider are really it for me. And Tomb Raider will soon come to the PS4. I could probably rent an Xbox or something at like a rent-a-center and beat Sunset Overdrive that way

Have you played Uncharted 4? I only played the single player, I think it took me maybe 15 hours to beat, but I loved it. Game was phenomenal. I'm not sure if it's better than Uncharted 2, but it's one of my two favorites. Uncharted is pretty Tomb Raider-esque

Edit: I'm also interested in No Man's Sky. I'll wait to see the reviews, but it certainly sounds very intresting to me. And the new Deus Ex Game. That one too. And The Last Guardian.

But honestly, looks like we're hitting a dry period of videogames. After I beat Evil Within I might try Doom again or borrow my buddy's copy of Mad Max

finally picked up witcher 3 today. I grabbed it on Amazon Prime day for 30 bucks.

I know there are rumblings of an enhanced/GOTY edition with some of the expansions, but i figured 30 was a great price to jump in.

I had to put my phone away, there were some really solid deals today. i was tempted to grab Doom for 30 as well.

Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games. Good story, graphics, and pretty decent battle system. Fights can be repetitive, but each enemy has its own strategy, so there is a good deal of change up in the fights.

I own both. Loved Witcher 3. That game is as good as any. My only issue was sometimes reading attributes in the inventory menu, although the update helped that a lot

Great story, great quests, great graphics, great fighting system

Doom I've tried to get into, and I'm gonna have to try again I guess. I didn't like the coloring. Too dark and too red, at least in the beginning of the game. I guess I just have to have faith it'll get better.

Most Bethesda games are pretty good, so I'll try again.

But you made the right choice. Witcher 3 will have you busy for awhile, takes a bit to get into, but it gets really good. I think I'd say it's my fav current console game.

I grabbed MLB The Show 16 off Amazon for 20$. I haven't played a baseball game in awhile. Hope it'll be fun

Witcher 3 was all out amazing, enjoy that.

And no, I tried to play one of the Uncharted games, couldn't get into it.

The Division is releasing their first DLC expansion pack in August for ps users, sooner for everyone else. I'm looking forward to that.

I haven't played them much, but what I have is pretty great. Like someone else said, they even changed some minor problems with menus and targeting and such with the expansions, so even if you aren't playing expansion content they really help out. The added content for Blood and Wine looks beautiful. Haven't done much as far as story though.

Looks like, *if* there's a Witcher 4,it won't be anytime soon. I read some conflicting articles but some state the company itself said there won't be anymore.

That's sad.

In other game news, I watched 20 minutes of gameplay on the Horizon Zero Dawn, I mean it looks awesome. Amazingly awesome with a potential great storyline too. Like The Last of Us, they had a superb story line. Highly suggest if you haven't heard of Horizon Zero Dawn, go to YouTube and check it out. Let me know your thoughts.

To all who play The Division and got the first expansion DLC, check out the new Reclaimer gear set. It's freaking awesome. Unlimited special ammo for you and your team, it won't be long before they nerf it.

I was playing underground with someone else with a reclaimer set, so we had incendiary and explosive bullets at the same time.

I've lately actually been playing the original Master of Orion quite a bit. Old school games rock.

I picked up Stellaris on sale the other day. It reminds me a lot of Master of Orion, but graphics have definitely come a long way. I'm still figuring it out (particularly how not to get wrecked in combat) but it has been pretty fun.

Finally started Witcher 3 this week. I have the entire day to myself. This game is really loaded with options. The story has been very good so far too.

Gameplay is easy, just all the other stuff with upgrading your guy, and crafting, which I need to get used to.

The game looks beautiful too. Really well done. The day/night cycle is perfect.

Oh, it only gets better. Best game of the generation IMO. But, it's the type of thing that's exactly my cup of tea.

I would say that Metal Gear Solid 5 or Fallout 4 would follow that. And after that Bloodborne.

But yeah, enjoy. That one's a classic, and a real step up from Witcher 2 (which was also a very good game)

I thought it was very good. The story makes no sense, but I liked the game a lot. Not everyone feels that way though. The only two other people I know who have played the game weren't into it.

I own it, have no intentions of playing it again after about a few hours of solid gameplay.

Just not my type of game. October needs to arrive so Rise of the Tomb Raider comes to Playstation! I'm much looking forward to that, as the other Tomb Raider was by far one of the top games I've been able to play.

Agreed! Can't wait for Tomb Raider on PS4. Should be sweet! Not sure if I'll buy it day one though. I've gotta beat Evil Within, then there's Mad Max.

The other game I'm close to buying is the new Deus Ex. That would take priority over MadMax, I should have Evil Within beaten over the next three days.

I've got my eye out for a good deal on FarCry Primal as well.

But my most anticipated game is Mass Effect: Andromeda. While I love Tomb Raider, it's short, like the Uncharted games. Mass Effect I can really get into and put serious time into. Those are usually the ones I consider favorites (Why I'd say that Witcher 3 was a better game than Uncharted 4).

Has anyone here played Overwatch? Is that game worth 60$?

Mass Effect is a no brainer. That's a pre-order game series right there. However, it doesn't launch until I think March of next year, so plenty of time.

If you beaten Evil Within, what were your thoughts? I enjoyed that game.

I tried out Mad Max and I haven't touched Evil Within since. Evil Within was well done, but graphically might as well be 360/PS3 generation, and it really isn't my type of game. Resident Evil-Esque, never has been my thing. So I've got two chapters left, that's about it. But I doubt I'll ever beat it.

Mad Max is sweet, and I've got Deus Ex coming on Friday. Should have me booked through October

There are some good small improvements to Maddens franchise mode.

I've only played it for a couple hours, but there's enough new little stuff that I haven't gotten upset for buying "the same game with a roster update" yet.

Even though that's basically what it is, and will be forever..

2k needs to step up and make a College Football game..

They can't until the license is up for grabs again. I'm not one of these people that bows to NFL 2k5 (although it was a fun game) but if 2k were smart, they would go out and make a college football game.

All you have to do is not use the likenesses of current NCAA players, an allow for the gaming community to create their own rosters that contain all those players. Anyone who was that into NCAA football knew you just had to download certain rosters from the right accounts to get the names and updated stats of the real college players.

The hardest of the hardcore college football players don't care much for the current players anyway, because you're building for 3-4 years from those players. So your game will be filled with generated names anyway.

I doubt the NCAA itself will ever get involved in a game again..

But if whomever makes it just gets licensing from each conf, school, sponser, etc they can make "College Football 2k17" or whatever..

And yeah, basically every "name" player is gone after the first 2 seasons anyways..

JC: Has anyone played Overwatch? I'm nervous about making the investment because it means getting PS+ too, but a friend of mine's boyfriend was really saying good things about it Saturday night.

Any other opinions? I always thought the game looked cool, but I'm not usually that into online shooters that are strictly multiplayer fights.
