Well, the RGIII experiment appears to be short-lived. Peter Schrader Verified account @PSchrags Word I'm hearing out of Cleveland is that RG3 is hurt. And could be out for a while. More to come. @NFLonFOX https://twitter.com/PSchrags/status/775383974206201856

RG3 isn't an average QB, but it also appears it's not meant to be for him.
He'll be done IMO

I guess this is why we weren't paying RG3 good moeny and we didn't trade Josh when Minnesota lost Teddy. The front office knew RG3 wouldn't last long, but wanted to give him a low-risk shot.
Meh. If this is true, I hope RG3 is okay and can come back soon but I'll also be happy Josh is back under center (I think we're a better team with him).
Hey Kessler, you better get ready.

Browns QB Robert Griffin III to miss extended period of time Posted 0 minute ago Clevelandbrowns.com @Browns Facebook Cleveland captain injured late in season opener Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III sustained a significant injury during the team’s season opener at Philadelphia on Sunday and has been placed on injured reserve.* He is expected to miss an extended period of time during the 2016 season after medical tests on Sunday night and Monday morning revealed a fractured coracoid bone in his left shoulder. Although surgery is not required at this time, Griffin’s left shoulder will be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks. “It’s very unfortunate, Robert came in and has worked extremely hard to learn our offense and earn the respect of his teammates,” Browns coach Hue Jackson said. “This is a tough loss because everyone has seen how invested he has been in this team and his dedication to the work needed to improve his craft. We all know these are the realities of the NFL, injuries occur and you have to find ways to overcome them so they don’t impede your progress. Robert will do everything in his power to rehab and get healthy but Josh McCown is on this roster for a reason and we have great confidence in him. He is more than capable. His veteran presence has been an asset to our team throughout our process of preparing for the season. We look forward to him assuming the role of the starter and leading our offensive unit.” Griffin signed with the Browns as a free agent in March. He completed 12 of 26 passes for 190 yards and added 37 rushing yards against the Eagles. McCown started eight games for the Browns last season. He completed 186 of 292 passes for 2,109 yards with 12 touchdowns, four interceptions and a 93.3 rating in 2015. * Under the new injured reserve rules for the 2016 season, each team can designate one player to return. Designation does not need to be made until that player is able to return to practice. A player placed on injured reserve is eligible to return to practice in six weeks and must miss a minimum of eight games. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/arti...bf-ed55884f9cd5

Barnidge is hoping McCown's the QB Why? RGIII gave him two very well thrown balls and he dropped them both. This news is something I anticipated, but I definitely thought it would arise later in the season. He could've avoided that hit too. Should've avoided that hit. He was like 5-6 yards away from an unobtainable first down. He'll just never learn and when your frame is the size of a twig, it's dangerous and stupid.

this regime certainly has not gotten off to a good start LOL Well, it's not like they traded a first rounder or signed him to a big contract. Most NFL backups were/are getting paid better than RG3 is right now.

Most NFL backups were/are getting paid better than RG3 is right now. That's true. Monetarily this isn't a big hit. It's just that they basically said "We'd rather have RG3 and a 1st than Wentz"

That was faster than I thought it would happen. As a QB goes, RG III is like a Star Trek redshirt was. Lose 'em before the commercial in the old Star Trek. Hope he recovers, but maybe we better be shopping around. Mr. Safety can't be the answer if McCown goes down as well.
Methinks if the honeymoon ain't over yet, they are loading the car. Not enough interviews available out there for what may be coming. Wentz was in the top 20 yesterday IMO. Lapse of judgment maybe, but hoping we get some good this season. Just wow.

And Josh will be back soon. Life is great. We'll win just enough to lose our next #1 QB pick. Doesn't matter, Sashi will trade it away anyways.

He'll just never learn and when your frame is the size of a twig, it's dangerous and stupid. Bingo. My hopes were not high for Griffin, he was a wildcard that needed to be tested. With that said, I did not think he would be as bad as he was. Our team will play better football with McCown at QB (and probably Kessler too). Go flotsam for Watson! Take a tranquilizer for Kizer!

*Sigh* Only in Cleveland. lol Didn't you want to see a McCown trade? Do you think that McCown is the difference between this team winning and losing? I don't. If we're going to lose, we might as well get another chip instead of using McCown for a few games before he is also hurt. It is kind of sad ....last year, game 1 .... McCown hurt running the ball. This year, RG3 hurt, running the ball.
