They do have a GREAT O .. No doubt .. And there OL is REALLY GOOD .. UNDERRATED .. And I thought they stunk the last 3 or 4 years .. They played well at the end of last year and DOMINATED last night ..

Sorry bro .. It puts others out of there comfort zones? .. *LOL* .. Could they have been more out of there comfort zone than dude trying to cover brown? .. Or after the first TD ANYONE? .. He lost all confidence ..

AND .. Like I said in my next post .. PUT A SAFETY OVER THE TOP ...

Leaving him one on one with Brown was STUPID ..

And U and I both know .. If we're game planning for Pitt .. The first guy u have to game plan for now is Brown .. He's the one that's not going to beat me .. When Bell comes back U have 1 and 1a .. And Williams always has been a very good RB .. But he's not Bell ..

Sorry bro .. U can't defend this week one to me . Cause I know in your heart .. IT WAS STUPID AS HELL!!!!

As a coach u know rule 1 ... PUT PEOPLE IN POSITIONS TO SUCEED ..

could you imagine if Pittsburgh's offense played full tilt against our defense. I'm talking at full health and with the urgency of a playoff game.

Last year, the Steelers gave Denver their toughest game in the playoffs. And think about it.......Denver also beat New England and Carolina. The Steelers played that game w/out Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams. It's freaking amazing!

I think there is only one way to beat them and that is to keep Ben contained and then put a lot of pressure right up the middle, as in---right in his face. He'll make some mistakes if you can get that type of pressure on him. But, that's hard to do and he can also release it quick when he wants to.

Ben is a magician to be honest. He's so good in the pocket, on the run, making quick throws, quick reads, etc. There's not much weakness to his game.

Surrounding him with a decent line and GREAT playmakers is a nightmare

I know it was just one game, but Kirk Cousins doesn't look like he's headed towards a big payday at this point.

I admittedly didn't catch much of the first game, but what I'm reading doesn't sound great:

Quote:
Kirk Cousins' push for a long-term contract is off to a rough start. His numbers (30 for 42, 329 yards, two interceptions) don't tell the story about his disappointing night. Cousins was not accurate early in the game, wasting promising drives with low throws. He made poor decisions on when to run and when not to run. The Steelers played zone defense much of the night, forcing Cousins to be patient. He refused to wait for a big play to develop despite a quiet Steelers pass rush. It got so bad that ESPN's Jon Gruden was audibly groaning after some decisions, feeling the pain of his brother on the Redskins sideline.

he was very bad IMO. throws were off. skittish. little awareness.

IMO he's a below average starter who should have tried to max his earnings this past offseason

I looked for him, but didn't see him. What's his number? I saw a #21, but it didn't look like Gilber, because that guy was actually running hard. smirk

I believe he is 24 on the Steelers, but like I said, I don't think he played at all.

21 is Robert Golden - a safety. He was an UDFA who made the team a few years ago. Solid player

Robert Golden

Eric Dickerson: Rams loss 'an embarrassment'

On Sunday the Rams will play their first game in Los Angeles since Dec. 24, 1994. On game day it will have been 7,939 days since the Rams last hosted a regular season NFL contest in L.A.

It was supposed to be a joyous moment for local fans that watched their team from afar for two decades. It was supposed to be a celebration.

After a humiliating shutout loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1, the Rams' return has the chance to be a laughing stock in Los Angeles.

On NFL Network's Good Morning Football, Rams great Eric Dickerson called Monday night's debacle "an embarrassment."

"The city is happy. You know, the one thing about Los Angeles is you got to win," the Hall of Fame running back said. "That's the No. 1 thing -- you've got to win in that city. And what they showed Monday night was an embarrassment. As a football team, they got to pick themselves up for the Seattle Seahawks and kind of get it back together."

After watching the Case Keenum-led offense Monday night rack up a total of 185 yards, fans are right to enter Sunday's tilt versus the Seattle Seahawks with skepticism.

"I've been saying from Day 1 to the fans, 'Be patient, this is a young football team,'" Dickerson said. "But you can't live by that. They've been saying that for the last four, five years ... but hey, you've got to keep some veterans on the team. You've got to have some leaders on that team, some veterans."

The running joke in the football world is Jeff Fisher teams are perennially 7-9. After watching Week 1 unfold, even that level of mediocrity seems like it could be hard to achieve. The Rams lost major pieces on defense -- Janoris Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Chris Long, etc. -- and did nothing to upgrade the offense. Oh, the Rams mortgaged the future to get a quarterback that would upgrade the offense, but couldn't get him prepared for Week 1. So, No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff sat on the sideline watching the eye-gouging display along with the rest of us on Monday night.

All teams have fickle fan bases. It's true that fair weather shifts with a team's win-loss record in all cities (even you, blue-collar Midwest Town with an inferiority complex). That dynamic is magnified in Los Angeles. Without an NFL team for more than 20 years, many young residences have taken on other allegiances. And because Tinseltown is a melting pot for fans from across the country, a lot of fans were already aligned with teams like the Giants, Patriots or Cowboys.

Those reasons don't even begin to scratch the surface of the "there is more to do in November in Los Angeles than in Boston" arguments that give a different meaning to "fair weather fans."

The only way to earn attention in L.A. is to win. Just ask the Clippers.

"I think that if they're (eventually) 2-8, it's going to be tough," Dickerson said. "I'm just going to be honest because in L.A. there's a lot of things to do -- you can go to the beach, you can go to baseball games, Lakers games, Hollywood."

Stan Kroenke's master plan seems to have caught a kink: Winning is the only thing that draws a crowd in Los Angeles. Winning might be tough to come by for the Rams in 2016.

Kirk didn't have a good game, but in Jay's system the QB can look better then they play because of the yardage numbers.

I thought Cousins looked below average honestly. And I didn't think he's all that good to begin with

It's only one game, but if he doesn't improve he will have cost himself a lot of money by not taking the extension they offered him this off-season. My guess is that he settles in somewhere between what he was in game one and where he was last year.
