That was just stupid people voting. They couldn't even do that right. Oh, ok. But, when Clinton wins the conspiracy theories will be rampant. Trump will no doubt get the ball rolling on them. She won't have that problem. Guaranteed.

[quote=PDXBrownsFan]Just curious....
How do you Trump supporters feel when the billionaire said he was "smart" for not paying taxes (when Clinton accused him of "not paying a cent in Federal taxes")?
Do you pay more federal taxes than the law calls for? Neither do I. Neither does he. Because, in the debate he actually said he was "smart" for not paying federal taxes. How do you know? He wont release his returns and he is being audited. Take the last 4 words of your post, and contemplate those 4 words. Think about what you said in those last 4 words. And then think about this: I guarantee, if he "gamed" the system, or if he cheated, he'll get what's coming to him. You think otherwise?

Hillary wont fix it. She is a puppet of big business. But she will lie straight to your face in order to get elected. I believe the Fact Checkers proved that Trump lied/embellished details far more in the debate. So, the "she is a liar" arguement holds no weight and is getting old. I am talking about Hillary, not Trump. And Hillary does lie to your face. She received 48.5 million dollars in campaign donations from Wallstreet. She is a puppet. Connect the dots.

Do you pay more federal taxes than the law calls for? Neither do I. Neither does he. If he pays no federal taxes OR he pays considerably lower percentage than your average middle class citizen then it is disgusting AND it should bother everybody. Buffet?

Question for you, with everything being hacked these days, can the election results be hacked? Oh 40, you are so on it! You tell us the News before it happens again! More Attempts to Hack State Election Systems Detected, FBI Director WarnsOver the past month, voter registration databases in states across the United States have continued to come under attack by hackers, FBI Director James Comey warned lawmakers today. "There have been a variety of scanning activities, which is a preamble for potential intrusion activities, as well as some attempted intrusions at voter registration databases beyond those we knew about in July and August," he told the House Judiciary Committee. "There's no doubt that some bad actors have been poking around." Comey did not say whether those hacking attempts were on behalf of any foreign government, but his comments came amid increasing concern over suspected Russian attempts to break into U.S. political institutions and influence the upcoming presidential election. http://abcnews.go.com/US/attempts-hack-s...ory?id=42418303

No. I rather him pay freaking taxes like everyone else. Stop covering for this disgusting crap. LOL Not everybody pays taxes. In fact many people get way more money back from the government than they ever paid in. Should they return the checks to the government and tell them no thanks just keep it? If your going to be mad about him not paying taxes blame the government not him. He is proud that thousands of people had their lives destroyed from the bubble popping just so he can make a buck. Gee I must missed something. I didn't hear him say he was proud that thousands of people lost their homes. He's proud that he paid zero taxes. Once again I must have really missed something because I have never heard him say he was proud of that either.

GM, what exactly else did Trump mean then when he said this: (CNN)Two years before the housing market collapsed in 2008 and millions of Americans lost their homes, Donald Trump said he was hoping for a crash.
"I sort of hope that happens because then people like me would go in and buy," Trump said in a 2006 audiobook from Trump University, answering a question about "gloomy predictions that the real estate market is heading for a spectacular crash." He knew he'd make a profit so he hoped people lost their homes. I understand he has a cult following, but that's how a sociopath talks.

He was a Businessman! Not a Politician!
He saw the Politicians were screwing up housing and banking so he looked for his opportunity to make money when they crashed the system.
What else would you expect a good real estate businessman to do? Would you have Trump step in and say he will run the Country now to prevent a collapse? Silly. It was your beloved politicians that dropped the ball.

40, Trump could flay a drifter on the side of the road and you'd defend it. However, your average soccer mom in the suburbs isn't going to like hearing how a man boasts about profiting from the misfortune of others. That won't be the deciding factor, but it will compoud with other things he says. That's where the disconnect between the primaries and the general election is.

Are you that blind? Trump has helped PUT the politicians that are for the status quo. He is PART of the establishment.
You guys really need to stop lying to yourselves and acting like trump is an outsider. Not even close. This guy has been part of the oligarchy that runs this country since the 70's.
At least us Clinton supporters can admit she's a snake and part of the status quo. But the current direction we are going has a hell of a lot more potential for good than what your boy trump is pushing.
You guys can't even do that. A trump change isn't a good one. Your boy got on the debate stage and and tried to push off trickle down economics.
Which has shown to not benefit anybody but guess who? The oligarchy he's part of.
Stop drinking the koolaid. Jim jones is alive and well, apparently.

You are the blind one as you can not see that a good businessman donates and supports all sides when it comes to politicians because whoever wins looks at him favorably.
Why do so many posters on here not have a clue of what it takes to be a successful businessman and cannot recognize a corrupt politician?

Donates? Obviously that's highly debatable.
What flavor koolaid you sippin on? Grape?
You have to be way more than a good businessman to be president. To act like that's suppose to be a good quality for PRESIDENT is...weak, to be nice.

Yes, I have a real problem with the fact that one of our Presidential candidates boasts on TV he is "smart" for not paying taxes.
I also find it amazing how people can defend a Presidential candidate who gloated that he was "smart" for not paying taxes. These are taxes that go back into our system for a host of things including defense and infrastructure, both of which he often criticizes (infrastructure that he compares to the third world, as well as the "weakening" of the US military).. Not to mention social security, Medicare/Medicaid and education, which he also often criticizes.
Yet, the same people pursue a witch hunt on Clinton day and night.

Look how many people have made billions, or even millions in the stock market. They buy low and sell high. I am sure Hillary has done the same thing in the stock market.

Not surprising. Hell, seems like there's a couple of em right here on this board. Russia steps up trolling attacks on the West, U.S. intel report finds https://www.yahoo.com/news/russia-steps-...-203421008.html(Photo illustration: Yahoo News, photos: AP) A new U.S. intelligence report says that the Russian government is conducting a wide-ranging and “opportunistic” campaign to expand its political influence in Europe by deploying Internet “trolls and other cyber actors” to challenge pro-Western journalists and spread pro-Kremlin messages in social media forums. Yahoo News obtained a declassified summary of the report, which also describes the role of two state-owned media outlets, RT and Sputnik, in what some experts say is an increasingly aggressive “information warfare” campaign. According to the report, the outlets promote Russia’s political aims with programming targeted to “activist” audiences including “far-right and far-left elements of European society.” It adds that the RT channel gives “disproportionate coverage and airtime to the European Parliament’s more extreme factions.” The report, by the office of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, was originally requested by congressional intelligence committees late last year. The panels also asked for a separate report on Russia’s use of political assassination. Classified versions of both documents were delivered by Clapper’s office to Capitol Hill in July. The decision to declassify brief excerpts from the first report coincides with recent disclosures about suspected Russian cyberattacks on the Democratic National Committee and other political groups. Many in the U.S. intelligence community believe that indicates Russia has expanded its cyberwar and disinformation efforts to the United States. “This is the 21st-century version of ‘active measures,’” said Heather Conley, director of the Russia program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a reference to the Cold War term for the Soviet Union’s efforts to manipulate Western opinion by spreading false information, such as the claim that U.S. scientists had manufactured the AIDS virus as part of a biological weapons project at Fort Detrick, Md. Conley added that the use of “information warfare” techniques to pursue political goals has now been incorporated into official Russian military doctrine. The goal, she said, is not “the annihilation” of the country’s enemies, but to “weaken them from within” by “keeping everybody off balance” and “sowing doubt” about their political leaders and institutions. A report by Conley describing this effort is due to be released by CSIS next month. Russia’s use of trolls on social media would appear to fit that pattern. A report in the Guardian last year identified a St. Petersburg office building where “hundreds of paid bloggers work around the clock” to flood Internet sites and Western social media forums with posts praising Russian president Vladimir Putin and denouncing the “depravity and injustice” of the West.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

I thought it was bad when they started to infiltrate college campuses with so many pro-communist professors.. now it's social media too?

I don't like him as a candidate I would call him the same thing Gary Johnson did. Candy, PDX, CHS, Rocket, Clem, Lurk, King, OCD, Portland come look at this lmfao Forget focus groups, Donald Trump crowdsources strategy for 2nd debate http://finance.yahoo.com/news/forget-focus-groups-donald-trump-052730568.htmlEleven days out from the second U.S. presidential debate, Donald Trump 's campaign is crowdsourcing ideas for how the GOP nominee might attack rival Hillary Clinton . Trump's campaign sent an email on Wednesday to supporters, titled "Trump Debate Preparation Survey," that says, "I need your immediate feedback from the first debate in order to win the second one." Most of the survey questions in the email are on issues brought up during Monday night's debate, but some go as far as addressing the framing of his opponent - a topic often reserved for a campaign's top strategists. A portion of the questions reflect on his past performance, asking, "On the subject of Hillary's emails, should Trump have brought up the fact that Hillary jeopardized our national security?". Others are forward-looking, such as, "Should Trump continue to tie Hillary to Obama's failed policies including ObamaCare and the Iran Deal?". While the use focus groups during campaign cycles is common, sending a mass email soliciting such targeted feedback is not. It's not known how many email subscribers the Trump campaign has, but the mogul's follower count on Facebook and Twitter each exceed 10 million. "It is a very unusual move," Karthick Ramakrishnan, professor of public policy and political science at the University of California, Riverside, told CNBC. "The campaign will probably say that it indicates that the candidate is eager to listen, but many others will probably see this as a risky, and potentially desperate, move." The survey questions whether Trump should repeat some of his previous angles of attack on his rival, asking "Should Trump call out Hillary for flip-flopping on NAFTA and TPP in an attempt to gain votes from Bernie's supporters?" and "Should Trump paint Hillary as someone who has betrayed working-class policies in favor of Wall Street?". Of the 30 questions, 18 of them reference Clinton and give respondents the option the answer with yes, no, no opinion or other, giving space for extended feedback. "The survey makes no mention of immigration, which was Trump's signature issue from the beginning of his campaign until just two weeks ago," Ramakrishnan said. "Perhaps the campaign sees no additional benefit of raising those issues, and might indeed be worried about the cost of pushing turnout higher among Latino and Asian American Democratic voters." The survey could even be a sign of disagreement within the Trump campaign, according to one expert. "This may be a play on the part of his senior campaign staff to gather information to validate their strategic suggestions," Chris Haynes, Assistant Professor of Political Science at University of New Haven, told CNBC. "It could also be a move on the part of the disgruntled Trump children or Donald Trump himself to seek out support for alternative strategies shot down by Trump's professional campaign strategists," he added. The email, signed by Trump, appeared to mark a change in tone, after he boasted of winning the first debate. This was despite the fact the majority of polls deemed Hillary Clinton the winner of Monday night's showdown - the first of three - with pundits praising the Democratic nominee's preparedness for the debate, compared to Trump's free-wheeling style. Clinton used her prep for the first debate as a weapon, telling the audience at Hofstra University, "I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate. And, yes, I did. And you know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be president. And I think that's a good thing." This is not the first time Trump's campaign sent out a survey. Leading up to the first debate, the campaign sent out an email with 30 questions, asking, "Do you think Trump should refer to Hillary as 'Crooked Hillary' on stage?," according to the New York Daily News. Meanwhile, Clinton's campaign also sent out a number of emails to its supporters this week, mainly with the aim of raising campaign funding. One such email came from Philippe Reines, a long-time Clinton aide, who revealed that he had served as Trump's stand-in during debate practice sessions with the Democratic nominee. The Trump campaign did not respond to immediately to a request for comment.

come look at this lmfao Every candidate uses focus groups and gets feedback from the base and others on how they did, what they can improve on, what issues they want to see stressed, etc... Donald is just... well like most other things, he's not very subtle about it.

tell me, did obama or bush ask their people something similar to this? Yes, I'm pretty sure they did though they didn't just send out mass e-mails... they did it in a more well orchestrated effort. Bill Clinton was famous for it. He would have a debate, after the debate the democratic party would openly talk about all of the things he SHOULD HAVE said and the things he should have stressed.. next debate, low and behold, he stressed all of the things those people wanted him to stress.. Like I said, they are all adapting and responding to what their party wants, what independent voters want, etc.. Trump is just not very savvy about collecting that information.

Obama's failed policies including ObamaCare A lot of you will vehemently disagree with this, but I feel the Affordable Care Act rocks. It shows how greedy businesses are, and how they're cutting hours to not provide benefits. Small businesses have a rightful beef, but no reason places like Walmart, etc. should be doing stuff like this. I eagerly await the universal healthcare, and free college that Hillary wants. It can greatly impact many.

How will these things be paid for? Taxes, taxes, and more taxes.
Socialism sounds euphoric, but it doesn't work.

But I thought our taxes, taxes and more taxes were going to go to pay down the $20 trillion in debt we've amassed?
