I spent the afternoon with my 82 year old Father. He is the wisest, most intelligent and deep thinking individual I have ever known, read or spoken with....ever. I respect and admire him more than any individual on this planet.

We were discussing the election. And, although politics haven't changed much, the morals, values and expectations for our American society have.

He is in disbelief at what we are willing to accept as a society. He is in disbelief as to the depths we have sunk. He is in disbelief that, for the first time in his life, he may not vote. His only justification for casting for Trump would be SCOTUS and a preservation of conservative values and way of life.

My hope for this country is that we could have more individuals like my Father. I say like him, not because of his political view, but because of his strength, wisdom, insight and respectful nature. I learned a great deal this afternoon and will carry it with me to the polls.

Hopefully, we all search our conscience and make the best decision for ourselves, our families and our country moving forward.

With all due respect to your father, our country has always had its issues in regards to morality. Nothing has changed, it's just people are more noticeable.

Please, spare me, we are in the trenches. Unless you've lived as long as he has and experienced the things he has, you have no comparison.

If we are going to enact the need for ID on voting, okay. However, do it for the things I mentioned or the rationale doesn't make sense.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I'm all for it.

Hell, I can't even buy sudafed without showing an i.d.

Just last week I took crushed beer and pop cans to the recycling center, looking to get $50 to $100 bucks. They weighed them, gave me a slip of paper and said "go to the office."

So I went. That's where the money was. Had to show i.d. Next thing you know, after the lady entered all my info, she's picking up an Ipad to take a picture of me.

I said "are you serious? I can't even recycle cans with showing an i.d., AND getting my picture taken?"

Yup, she was serious. State law. Wanna know why? An extremely small percentage of people were stealing stuff, copper in particular, and getting paid at recycling centers.

Consequently, a legal, law abiding citizen trying to recycle some aluminum cans has to show and i.d., AND have his picture taken.

Hey, if I have to do that to my aluminum recycled, you'd best bet your house on the fact that I am 100% in favor of citizens - CITIZENS, having to show a valid picture I.D. to cast a freaking vote for even dog warden!!!

Period.

Yet, it's called "racist, and it puts the poor at a disadvantage....." Bull crap.

Something doesn't pass my smell test here.

Conservative News Organizations coming out in support of Hillary?

Any self respecting Conservative Organization may come out saying we don't support Trump, fine. But to tell Republicans to go out and vote for Hillary just doesn't pass the smell test. Something is going on here and I wonder if it is the Koch Brothers and their money at work.

I can't recycle aluminum without a picture i.d., AND showing a valid picture i.d., yet some think they should be able to VOTE without showing an i.d.?

Please.

What really is the issue with voter ID?

I will show my ID for meds, recycling, driving, picking up my child, banking, debit cards etc.....and yes, even voting. What's the issue? I never understood.

If people do not drive, the government can create a voting card similar to an old PLCB card we used to require in PA to buy liquor. There should really be no issue here. Registerd voters have a card anyway, at least I do.

And then there's this: http://truthuncensored.net/fbi-director-...clintons-taxes/

Read it. Learn how extensive the clinton's reach is. No wonder Comey didn't recommend charges.
