Yes. Probably because I don't cry about things that don't matter.
The Browns did not lose the game due to that fumble. Man-up!

I agree that the Browns did not lose because of one call... And that complaining won't do a whole heck of a lot... But I still think that it's ok to ask the officials to make a pretty simple call... I can understand a mistake here or there but that was a pretty blanently bad call... How anyone could think duke didn't recover is beyond me....
Texans had a similar unbelievable call against them... On a punt that was blocked by the Texans the ref blew the whistle just before the play.. The reason? He thought there were twelve men on the field... There weren't... So no flag... And why would you blow this whistle? Just throw the flag and discuss it after the play...
I understand refs are human, but some of this is simple procedural stuff that they just screw up

Remember, you see players come out of the pile with the ball all the time who didn't recover the ball.
I agree with your earlier assessment.....Duke would have been more fired up had he really recovered the ball. If not, maybe he should be cut? Cut? .. NO .. THATS A LITTLE HARSH ... *L* .. Oops .. Sorry about the caps .. The reason I believe Duke recovered it is because during the game .. They showed it from the front side of Duke .. U could see the ball go back into his arms and then the dude from Wash dove in .. I figured he just wrestled it away from Duke in the pile .. But this shows Duke jumping up almost immediately with the ball .. It's not like there was a 3 - 4 second pile .. It was 2 secs at most .. Then it shows the official come in and NOT DO HER JOB CORRECTLY .. If it would have been a man I would have said the SAME THING ... Other than the fact unless it was one of about 4 Referees I would not have know weather they were an overall good or bad official .. So that would mean dude wrestled it away from Duke and then Duke got it back from him in like 1/10th of a 2nd .. THE PLAY should not have been overruled .. INCONCLUSIVE ... It's IRRELIVENT now ... Michelle - has ZERO to do with the fact there women .. ZERO ... And I'm not going to apologize for WHAT and WHO I know .. If U or anyone else doesn't believe me there's nothing I can do about it .. I would be bummed u and maybe one or two others that have gotten to know me over the years think I would LIE .. U can call me a lot of things .. And most have .. *L* .. BUT I DON'T LIE .. Not who I am .. Again, nothing I can do about it .. You either believe me or u don't ... To the dude that wants NUMERICAL DATA or whatever it is ... *LOL* ... U think any pro sport is going to put out stats that don't reflect well on their people .. U ever notice there's no sites like PFF for officials ... Ever wonder why that is?? .. Ya all have fun .. Anyone wants to chat about it shoot me a PM ..

Washington went 3 and out. We got the ball right back. Still down by the same amount. Kessler threw a pick on the next series. What's ridiculous is that this fumble was getting way more run than any other topic regarding the game. Some of you just like to cry about how things are always so unfair for the Browns.

I like Hue , think we have our hands on the real deal ( Finally ) I just want him to get rid of the cute stuff for a while .. We were beating them straight up with no need for tricks that have a tendency to back fire on a young team like ours .. Running Malcom , a back breaker when you had Crow ! ! ! .. In side our own 20 with second and 2 you try and throw ( force to Pryor ) over the middle when you have Crow ?? Head scratched !
Still not on the Horton band wagon ( never will be really ) I know about the lack of talent but he will always be behind in scheming for a game .

The ref said she saw a Washington player with possession on the ground
Obviously that was in between duke fumbling and then standing with the ball
Bang bang - quick whistle, maybe

I have one simple question:
Why did that ref think Washington recovered the ball? I've explained why more than once ... SHE DID NOT SEE THE BALL before making her call ... She ASSumed it was in the pile ... I just re-watched as I did not want to get accused of being SEXIST again before I said this ... Duke came out of the pile with the BALL IMMEDOIATELY ... The live take shows this if u stay with Duke .. It's as plain as the nose on your faces ... GO WATCH THE TAPE ... Watch her ... She RUSHES IN and starts pointing the other way ASSuming one of the skins in the pile has the ball .. Pretty sure I know why she died that too .. The one Browns dude is in there fighting with the two skins .. Not sure what there fighting over .. As DUKE HAD ALL READY LEFT WITH THE BALL BEFORE SHE EVEN GOT TO THE PILE .. I'll GAURANTEE U that when she got to the bottom of the pile and the ball was not there .. HER HEART SUNK ... And I'm sure she FEELS HORRIBLE about it today and will for a LONG LONG LONG TIME .... The bright side is .. I will be STUNNED if she ever makes that mistake again ... Apearantly no one wants to accept the PLAIN SIMPLE FACT that, that's what happend ... SHE made a mistake .. IT HAPPENS ... Problem is .. I've been told she's in over her head .. And that call is solely based on her panicking and rushing to make the call .. It's not really panicking, I just can't think of the right word ... I GAURANTEE U she received a HORRIBLE GRADE based off that play alone for the game ... My guess is today when she goes over the tape with her supervisor (and my guess is the NFL supervisor of officials gets involved with this one) she gets reeked real good for a minute .. Then it on to telling her to learn from it and MOVE ON .. Themes the facts folks .. In Officiating at the levels where it's relevant .. There's a saying that was coined a decade or so ago .. "Beat the tape" ... She did not beat the tape on that one .. The TAPE PROVES what I said from the second I saw that video ... And she will pay for it today with her supervisor ... Now go back to IGNORING THE FACTS (watch the tape) and keep wondering "why it happend" ..

But how do you not complain about this ? How would that make it better or change things? Get over it. This is exactly why I never complain about the refs calls. Take care of the ball, do your job, and we wouldn't have these issues with the refs every game.

Now go back to IGNORING THE FACTS (watch the tape) and keep wondering "why it happend" ..
Lets get to the facts then? Did Duke fumble the football, or the ref?

Lets get to the facts then? Did Duke fumble the football, or the ref? I'm gonna go with Duke ... Now Mr. Smart ass ... Lets see if you'll answer my question so we can get to MORE FACTS .. Who gave possession of the ball to the team that DIDN'T RECOVER THE FUMBLE? ... What r we 3 or 4 years old? .. PS. This is the first time I've ever said a word about the officiating ... FIRST TIME .. Well in regards to the Browns anyhow .. And not once did I say it CONTRIBUTED to the LOSS or WHINE about it .. I simply pointed out SHE BLEW THE CALL ... And why do I say that ... Cause SHE BLEW THE CALL ... There's a big difference between missing a call and NOT DOING YOUR JOB CORRECTLY ... She BLEW the call because she did not do HER JOB CORRECTLY by CLEARLY not knowing where the ball was ... My dad told me at a young age ... LOOK IN THE MIRROR SON and don't EVER BLAME THE OFFICIALS ... U have plenty of OPPORTUNITY to make sure they have no affect on the outcome ... HAVE SOME MORE LAUGHS, HERES PLENTY OF CAPS FOR U ...

Only because "not enough evidence to overturn" but honestly, why are we arguing this so hardcore?
It's done and over with. We lost. We're 0-4. Debating that isn't going to change anything.

Yes there's been bad calls that actually decided games .. But the simple fact that you got a recovery made immediately before the official actually even gets to the pile .. How is it inconclusive? He had the ball before the official even got there .. In his hand .. And its inconclusive?

And this is what keeps it going for me .. Just admit you screwed up.. Releasing this statement make it worse.. I actually think they released this statement because they're still looking at the bottom of the pile for the football.. I don't think they've found it yet

I just re-watched as I did not want to get accused of being SEXIST again before I said this ...
Her mistake was horrible, but it wasn't BECAUSE she's a woman. It's because she's probably just a crappy referee. I don't even think you realize what you said if you think saying she got the call wrong is why you sounded sexist... I do have a question on Refs, though...if she's so "IN OVER HER HEAD" as is claimed, why on Earth would the NFL hire/keep her? Why would they hire/keep a man that's in over his head for that matter? There are Refs that probably make mistakes over and over...why do they still have jobs? Is there a site for all of this? Shouldn't we get to see which Refs made mistakes and the history of all the Refs and their bad calls?

Just my own take here, but people using the "she" comment are simply making a reference to the official that made a bad call.
For me, the "she" is simply a reference. It's not an indictment against females, or female ref's in any way.
Let's say it was a male ref that blew the call, and people were saying "man, that guy made the wrong call".......would you be upset?
She has apparently earned her stripes in order to be an official in the nfl. She has also earned the right to be criticized for a bad call. Just as any male ref would be/is.

That's not the reason. If you look, I think I probably called "her" a "she" too.
