Pro-Trump, Milo-linked art show in doubt after threats from anti-Trump activists

Organizers of a pro-Trump art show tied to right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos and set to launch in Brooklyn on Saturday are scrambling to find a new gallery after organizers say the original venue caved under threats from anti-Trump activists.

The exhibit is called #DaddyWillSaveUs – a reference to a trend among some gay Trump supporters to refer to the Republican nominee as “Daddy.” It is gay conservative artist Lucian Wintrich’s follow-up to his previous art show “Twinks4Trump” which was on display during the Republican convention in July and featured gay young men wearing Trump paraphernalia. “Twink” is a term in the gay community that refers to boyish, mostly hairless, young gay men.

Have you actually heard it Arch? He explains how he ( I won't use the word he used ) a married woman. How you should just grab her by her ( again I won't nor am I allowed on this board to use the word )

There's really no excuse.

And I agree that Hillary is terrible. I don't believe that is up for debate. The only difference I really see here is that the many faults Hillary has, has been on display in the public eye for all to see for a long time now. It's common knowledge.

Trump hasn't been under such a microscope like that. Now when Trump is being put under that same microscope, people call foul or try to bait and switch by changing the subject back to Hillary. You can find the video on the Washington Post web site.

Poorly written satire from a young college kid is not equivocal to a 60 year old man gloating about sexually assaulting married women.

Also, he isn't running for president.

Still amazed at how much pressure it's taking to push this camel through the eye of this needle, apparently with 1 1/2 eyes shut too.

Personally, I was thinking at how disgusting and disrespectful he is towards women. But, I guess you see it differently.

I have been flipping through the news channels, trying to see what is/has happened in Florida. I have been unable to reach my dad and step-mom, and I assume that it is because the phones and power are out .... but it is still hard not knowing. Both their home and cell phones are out.

Anyway, what Trump said is just another example of him being a pig towards women. It has to be bad when Fox is saying he should remove himself from the ticket.

Wikileaks dumped new emails today. It includes some of HRC's speeches to Wall Street and Financial Institutions. Funny how the big reveal of a 12 year old Trump slight against women suddenly became news of the day.

Wikileaks dropped what they called the first 2050 emails of over 50,000 that will be released before the end of the year.

I think this dump was the primer, the next will be very painful to HRC.

Well worth the watch! Warning a couple of Foul Language moments, not too bad.

I wonder if these emails will receive little or no attention on the national newscasts? I also think that it is no coincidence that the Trump thing came out, and much of the media had stories ready to go right away.

ABC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN all have Trump's vulgar comments in massive main story sections .... and Clinton's comments in much, much smaller sidebars.

CNN writes this, in an article on the Clinton speech leaks:

"But the timing of the leaks, well after the Democratic primary and the same night video emerged of Donald Trump bragging about being able to grope women, could blunt any political impact."

I don't think that's any coincidence.

MSNBC has huge pictures of Trump, and a small sidebar talking about the "alleged leak".

CBS also has a large picture of Trump, linking to that store, and a much smaller image of Clinton underneath. (you have to scroll down to the Clinton story)

ABC has a large image of Trump, and a small link off to the side on the leaked Clinton emails. They have a picture of Hillary below that, with a story about the State Dept releasing some more emails.

Bleh. We need an honest media and new candidates for President across the board.

Those networks have no control over when wikileaks decides to leak whatever info they have.

so if you have a problem with when it came out, look at julian assange, dont blame the networks.

Here we go, they are starting to drop like flies.

Top congressional Republican withdraws his endorsement of Donald Trump

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/top-congressional-republican-withdraws-endorsement-035349945.html

Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican congressman who initially pledged his support for Donald Trump, has withdrawn his endorsement amid the fallout from leaked audio that showed Donald Trump making shocking, lewd comments about women.

"I'm out. I can no longer in good conscience endorse this person for president," Chaffetz said in an interview with Fox 13 in Salt Lake City on Friday night.

Speaking to the 2005 recording in which Trump explicitly suggested that women could be grabbed and manhandled at will, Chaffetz said, "It is some of the most abhorrent and offensive comments that you can possibly imagine."

Chaffetz, who represents Utah's 3rd Congressional District, is one of a group of Republicans who grilled Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic rival, over her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state. He is the chair of the House Oversight Committee.

He says he has no plans to vote for Clinton.

Chaffetz also slammed Trump's initial apology. The statement from the Manhattan billionaire's campaign Friday afternoon simply expressed regret "if anyone was offended."

"That was an apology for getting caught, that was not an apology for the behavior," Chaffetz sniped in a subsequent CNN interview, adding that Trump's argument that the lewd comments were equivalent to "locker room behavior" were unacceptable.

"I was a place kicker. I was in plenty of locker rooms. This is not locker-room talk," he said.

No, what he's saying is that they're not giving equal levels of attention to equally damning stories.

But they've been doing that for centuries now, so what's new?

Paul Ryan disinvites Donald Trump from event amid controversy over lewd comments about women

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/paul-ryan-disinvites-donald-trump-015105386.html

House Speaker Paul Ryan is joining a chorus of Republicans distancing themselves from Donald Trump after an audio recording of the Republican presidential nominee making inappropriate comments about women surfaced Friday.

Following the video in which Trump can be heard boasting about groping women and making sexual advances to a married woman, Ryan said he was "sickened" by Trump's comments and disinvited Trump from an event scheduled for Saturday in Wisconsin.

"I am sickened by what I heard today," Ryan said in a statement. "Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests. In the meantime, he is no longer attending tomorrow's event in Wisconsin."

The Trump campaign released a statement Friday night saying Gov. Mike Pence, Trump's running mate, would attend the event in Trump's place while the Manhattan billionaire focused on preparing for Sunday night's debate against his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

"Governor Mike Pence will be representing me tomorrow in Wisconsin. I will be spending the day in New York in debate prep with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Jeff Sessions, and then flying to St. Louis on Sunday for the 2nd Presidential Debate," the campaign's statement said.

With 30 days left before the Nov. 8 election, the Saturday event would have been the first time Ryan campaigned with Trump.

Other Republican officials who have denounced Trump's lewd comments include 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, former Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa AJ Spiker and Republican National Committee Chairman, Reince Priebus.

i'm glad you made the overall point.

this has happened since the recorded history.

And i'm sorry, this isn't a benghazi incident. i really could give a damn about somebody getting paid to speak.

they ALL get paid to speak by somebody. Palin's daughter got paid to speak about abstinence while she got knocked up by a 2nd dude out of wedlock.

so yea, i don't give a damn about speaking fees. and guess what? even Fox news doesn't either, because Julian assange blew smoke up all you guys butts.

y'all was hoping for some bombshell stuff. and it didn't happen.

well it did happen, but not from julian assange, and certainly not toward the candidate you hoped it would be on.

and just to be clear Ted.

a lot of the talk is "locker room" talk if you want to describe it like there. so i honestly don't care with most of it.

here's the problem:

1. he's married, moving in on a married woman.

2. he implies that he can do whatever he wants, as if sexual harassment/assault is a-ok to do.

THAT'S what people have the problem with.

Don't forget my friend, I'm not a Trump supporter. I have just as much problem with him as Clem does for the very same reasons.

I was just responding to what you responded to about the media.

The floodgates are opening with prominent Republicans calling on Trump to step down

https://www.yahoo.com/news/m/41993cf6-da3a-3ab1-8dc9-8e75852c9d40/ss_the-floodgates-are-opening.html

Calls for Donald Trump to remove himself from the presidential race rushed in late Friday and into Saturday morning from prominent Republican officials.

The last couple weeks for the real-estate businessman have gone from disappointing to near-apocalyptic.

Now, a bombshell audio recording that is shaping up to be the GOP nominee's biggest campaign scandal has forced some Republicans to hit the panic button.

GOP Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois said on Friday Trump "should drop out" and the Republican National Committee "should engage rules for emergency replacement."

Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, whom Trump recently named as a potential Supreme Court nominee, echoed Kirk.

"I wouldn't hire that person," Lee said, referring to Trump in a video posted to Facebook.

Here's more from Lee:
"The fact is, we have been asked to settle ... on matters of great principle with our candidate for president of the United States. This can't continue. ... It is for that reason, Mr. Trump, that I respectfully ask you ... to step aside. Step down. Allow someone else to carry the banner of these principles."

Three-term Republican Gov. of New York and former 2016 presidential candidate George Pataki tweeted: "[Trump's] campaign is a poisonous mix of bigotry and ignorance. Enough! He needs to step down."

A.J. Spiker, a former Iowa GOP chair and adviser to Sen. Rand Paul's PAC, said Trump was "unfit for public office." "Donald Trump should resign as the Republican nominee for president," he tweeted

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman also said Trump should drop out of the race, The Salt Lake City Tribune reported. Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock of Virginia said Trump "should step aside and allow our party to replace him."

"This is disgusting, vile, and disqualifying. No woman should ever be subjected to this type of obscene behavior and it is unbecoming of anybody seeking high office," Comstock said in her statement.

So we have TWO pigs running for President.

The Dems are still throwing makeup on theirs and the Republicans are just letting theirs wallow in the mud.
